I am happy to be located near a Staples that is very helpful and friendly. Typically I do not expect a Office supply store to be so involved and enthusiastic. This store gets busy and the shelves become unorganized, so the store is usually messy. Usually only one cashier helping checkout customers and when it gets busy it can take awhile to pay. The parking is okay, they are located next to a 99 cent store and finding a spot can be difficult. read more

Had a bad experience at this store and then was helped by 2 different managers and they totally turned me from furious to apologetic within a matter of minutes. I purchased online for pick up after my work at 5pm on 8/31/2016 a Brother PTH100 label maker and Ptouch tape black on gold # M831 after long hours pf searching on your website what tape goes with this machine pr what machine goes with the tape since I do need a black in gold tape labels. So hoping that they are the right combination since website description on M831 said it can be used with Ptouch 90, 100, 110 etc etc. I went to the store to pick up my order, when I reach customer service I immediately ask them if I did had the right labels for the right machine. The customer service guy search and search both boxes and after not finding any clue went to the guy (who looks like a floor manager) to ask him the question, thebcustomer service guy came back stating per his manager its the wrong labels. So I asked him to help me find either the right machine or the right labels. He took me to the aisle for the label makers and tape, while searching got distracted my another customer askibg him about a sale on dymo label maker to check if the price on the shelve is correct, and left me saying he will have another guy help me. Then came another staff who looks like their "tech support" and showed me the right label for the machine but they dont have the tape/label color I needed so I asked what about the machine that will go with M831 tape? He did not know and took me back to thecomputer to search what label maker works with taht tape and after another 10 minutes found themachine which cost 3x more than the one I originallybought. So I asked him how about the Dymo label maker which is on sale which is sku# 071701059352 for $9.99, and this guy told me that the tape goes with it is the sku# 071701169525 but againno gold available so I choose black on clear tape. I took 2 tapes and the machine and exchange the items i ordered online qithout double checking if the tape does fit or match the label maker as he told me because I already spent more than or about half an hour already on the store just to get "help" to get the right combination. Tonight I was going to try my label maker for the first time only to find out the tape he gave me does not fit the machine. Its reallyfrustrating since I need to finish this project I am working on by this weekwnd and its too late now to exchange the item again!!!! How can you guys hire people who doesnt knowthe items you sell or atleast have an idea how to check where to get the answer to avoid this hassel. He is even the one who told me those tape fits theñabel maker machine. Does he just want to get rid of a paying customer so he wont have to be bothered working? Thats why he said those are the correct tapes. Now I am not going to finish my work since its already midnight and I need to finish my work foe r tomorrow. The first few times I went to Staples were great. I always send in my prints and I drive there and I am in and out in less than 5 minutes. However, this only happened when the younger ones were working. They were fast and efficient. When I encountered this older lady that worked at the Copy and Print station (probably the head there) she did not provide me with good customer service at all. When I first went to get my prints she was telling me that when I send in the email I need to tell her when I need it, how many copies, what type of paper, what kind of print and etc. I bet she doesn't even look at that stuff when I send her that information since she asks me the same questions when I get to the store, but the next emails I've sent to Staples, I've added those details for her. Today, I went to print some things for my class at 10:30am and I did not get out of there until 11:00am... (My class was at 11:10, so I was 20 minutes late by the time I got there) When I got to Staples, it was the lady working again, she seemed super stressed so I didn't want to rush her since there was another customer. When it was my turn she told me the email was full and I would have to use the Self Serve Computers and I did. And when I clicked print, the black ink was out so I told another worker there, he took it out, shook it and put it back in and it didn't work. He proceed to try to look for more ink but couldn't find it and during this I was getting charged by my time. He finally saved my work into a USB and printed it inside the copy and print station. I asked if I was going to get reimbursed for the $6.14 that it has already charged me and in the end I never got it. I asked for another copy of prints and he never did it. Angry and stressed out since I was already late to class, I didn't ask for my money and just left. The worst part of this whole experience was watching the lady in charge throw a tantrum in front of all her customers. It is not professional at all to do that. She was throwing pens, yelling at her co workers, this lady was not a good employee at all. Worst experience, ever. And they did not apologize once. Please hire more people and hire people that are more qualified for the job. Thanks. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Consistently horrible to nonexistent Customer Service. Went in today to look for an ink refill and was told vaguely that it was on aisle four. I stated I wanted someone to show me where the specific refill was and got a haughty "oh you want help?" She allegedly called someone and I went to the designated aisle and waited several minutes and no one showed up here. I ended up sorting it out myself and telling the cashier that no one appeared and she got even haughtier than she had been before. I put in my telephone number and discovered that someone else signed up using my telephone number that I have had for more than 20 years. All the cashier would say vaguely is that "you can call someone" without making any specific offer of help at all. When they give you mail you a coupon for $1 for 5 reams of paper after "easy rebate" and then disclose new conditions in the fine print of the receipt you get only after the sale is over - THAT'S OUTRIGHT FRAUD. The paper is actually more like $7 each and you are not going to be seeing any rebate $ at all under any conditions. They'll be keeping that money. Staples is crooked and underhanded and needs to be taught a lesson via the court system. read more

NEVER COME HERE. Staff are unaware of their products and UNWILLING to help. I came here to purchase a universal adapter. I was initially told that the ONLY product they had for a universal adapter would work on any laptop up to 5 years old. To my own fault I should have come in with my laptop; however, the product did not work. I came to return the product which was fairly an easy process. I was then directed to consult the computer maintenance desk/team. After some confusion on whether or not they had the right product and finally determining that they had already given me the ONLY option available. The manager was then consulted on whether they would be able to charge my laptop. Unfortunately they could not help as all their adapters were being used. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! read more

This staples is a joke. The phones keep you on hold for several minutes before you speak to someone. The copy & print center has 1 person working while a line of angry customers form. Also, the quality of print SUCKS! And customer service is zero help. read more

The copy center was very helpful, and they even gave me a few tips on how to edit my graphics on my own so that I wouldn't have to pay them to do it. I had ordered 100 postcards and they were able to print them within 24 hours. They also directed me to a paper place where I could get cheap high gloss heavy cardstock so that I didn't have to get charged that extra amount as well! read more

I was in the store around Feb 1, 2017, or so. Found items I wanted, and the line for checkout was short, maybe 2 people ahead of me and 2 cashiers so didn't notice the wait. However, "Heather," the cashier, apologized for the wait when I got her register, I said no problem, not that long a wait. Then, she again apologized for the wait a little later. I was impressed by this high level of concern for a wait that hadn't even bothered me. Good selection, good prices. read more

I've been going to Staples quite awhile now This is my first bad experience going to Staples. I When on this location to shredded my old documents I thought it was free. And I'd didn't know you have to pay for it Cause they'd don't have any sign saying You have to pay for it. And The employee asked me to weigh it and put in the shredder and He'd didn't even mentioned to me and explained to me anything about paying. So what I did was I've put all my old documents on the shredder and left And after few minutes the Staples Employee called me and Say hey body aren't you forgetting something. I said no. He said you have to pay for it. I said ok. And I told him there's no sign That you have to pay for it. And He start arguing with me and What he told me You've walking the store without paying for it! And he start laughing at me and what I told him why are you laughing at me? After you've been so rude to me and laughing WOW! This asshole need a customer service training. I definitely not coming back on this location at all. Staples need to train there employees how to be a Good Customer Service and How to be polite to their customers. read more

It was Valentines Day and my printer went out.. I just bought it in December and bought a two year warranty.. Well, the printer went out and I called and talked to an associate who told me that I couldn't get a replacement printer that day. So I got a hold of Steve the manager and with some pleading due to it being Valentines Day he agreed to exchange it. I drove the 10 miles and got there at 12:15 lunch time and an associate name Brain I think it was with a Y anyhow, he tried calling Steve and then went to Steve's car to ask about the exchange.. He came back and said it was OK and we went to the printer section for my new printer. He grabbed the box threw it on his shoulder and we walked to the counter.. He then Slammed the new printer on the counter turned it over slammed it again to open it and a few more good one's to get it out of the box.. Well, It's a no brainier why the printer driver went out if this is how they treat your merchandise in front of you, I can't help but wonder how they stock their shelves when no one's looking.. Warranty or not, I'll eat the $24. And if this printer goes out, I'll just be the wiser now that Brain displayed his merchandise handling techniques.. Good bye Staple's read more

I went to staples today to have copies, that I made at home, reduced in size and laminated. The print station was quite busy. But the associate acknowledged me and said she would be right with me. I described my order and did some shopping. A few moments later the clerk found me in the store and showed me the lamination. The copies were too small. She returned and enlarged the prints to my size and laminated them. I was thrilled with the customer service I received. I am so happy to find this excellent office/ print/mailing center so close to home. read more

We came in on a Sat the o try and get some simple stuff printed in color. Once again we got every excuse in the book as to why they couldn't be printed. I went to this store on a Monday to but some software that was on sale in the Sunday paper ad. They did not have the item. OK. I asked for a rain check. The associate said it's up to the Manager's discretion whether or not to give a rain check and I was denied, I asked the associate why I was denied and was told "everyone is". In the ad there was nothing about while supplies last or anything like that so I find it just immoral to not offer a rain check. With practices like these my recommendation is -- DON'T SHOP HERE OR AT ANY OTHER STAPLES STORE UNTIL THEY HAVE POLICIES THAT ARE FARE TO THE CUSTOMERS!!!! read more

I had a bad experience with their computer services. They charged me $69.99 to check on my laptop just to find out what the problem is. Result of diagnostics is - windows software problem. I asked if I can just put Windows 7 on it and they said it will cost $150 (approx) to purchase a new package. But if THEY install it, they will credit the $69.99 diagnostic charge and I will just add $60. I would have saved $20 after the upgrade. When I picked up my laptop, surprise surprise. All they did was restore my software (which was Vista) into the laptop. No Windows 7! They claimed that I can have my Windows 7 if I will pay for the new software. Also, they try to solicit a virus protection because they said my virus software (McAfee) is not reliable. Duh! Don't take your laptop for a free check-up. They will rip you off. I spent $69.99 + $60 for restoring my Windows Vista which I could have done it myself because I still have my original software. read more

I came in to print out some pictures and it took me about 10 mins to even find someone who could help me and that's only because I asked the register lady for help! I saw one guy walking around and before I could ask for help he looked me up and down and walked away. Extremely rude! I walked up to the register lady and she was chatting away with someone for about 5 mins so I asked her if there was someone who could help me! She ignored me for a minute and then very rudely said "once I'm done talking I'll help you!" I bit my tongue and waited on her. After she finished gossiping, she rolled her eyes and hesitated to help so she just told the guy at the print machine to help me instead. Once I got my pics, I went back to the register to pay only to see that the same previous lady walked away quickly from the register in order to avoid me! Are u kidding me? So finally after a few mins another very friendly girl helped me out but honestly I couldn't run out of here fast enough! These are some very rude employees, will NEVER come here again!!!! read more

I am so disappointed. I own a pet store down the street from here. I came here to pick up 3 toners, paper and some markers. One male employee there made me feel like I was shoplifting. He helped me with the toner. I go to the register and a girl scans all my items, I put in our office membership # and I am ready to pay. Then he comes over and takes over the transaction, doesn't say why. I am waiting and waiting while he is searching something on his tablet. I asked what is happening, she just rang up my transaction, what is the hold up? He says he is checking inventory on the toners. I find that odd. He doesn't share why. I still wait. I am wondering why I am still waiting and watching him search a tablet and I see my total on the screen. The girl went to help another women. She got there after me and left before me. He keeps me there and I am not sure what I am still doing there. I am African American, so I can only assume I was "profiled" as a shoplifter. What else am I to think. I said I own the pet store down the street, I am not here to steal. What is the problem?? He realizes I am upset and says, oh no I am trying to price match the toners to give you a discount and yeah, I don't see any! If that was the case why wouldn't he share that? Why didn't he share that when you were in the aisle helping me? Why was it after my transaction was done and you just keep me waiting after I my items were scanned with no explanation until I had to say something? I paid my $350 and walked away dissapointed. I will NEVER to shop there again. I have 2 businesses and I buy office supplies all the time, but I will never buy again from staples in Granada Hills. read more
