Staples in Farmingdale Airport Plaza is one of those dependable stores that always seems to come through when you need something fast. They really cover everything here from Amazon returns to UPS shipping and more recently I have noticed UPS reroutes some of my undelivered packages directly to this location for pickup which has been a huge convenience. It saves a lot of hassle compared to dealing with missed deliveries or scheduling redeliveries. Inside you will find every kind of office supply imaginable. It is the place I go when I need last minute toner, inkjet cartridges, or even custom stamps. I once had a signature stamp made there and picked it up without issue. Prices are not always the cheapest but what you are paying for is reliability and availability when you need something immediately it is usually there. The only drawback is that the store tends to feel understaffed at times. Depending on the hour you might find yourself waiting a bit for service or to check out. Still, for the wide range of services and convenience under one roof it is a solid go to spot for both personal and business errands. read more

I come to this Staples to return Amazon packages which is a very convenient location wise for me plus certain times and days when the UPS store is closed, Staples is open! Yay! They are located next to a Home Depot and have a huge free parking lot that always has a plethora of parking no matter the time of day. Every time I return something from Amazon here, I always end up browsing around and then spend money at Staples haha so they're smart in being a place to accept Amazon returns! My last visit, I found some things on sale and one of the managers (I'm assuming) even stopped to ask if I needed help while I was in the aisle. Upon checking out, he was helping train a new employee and was very patient. I used a coupon that I received after returning my Amazon packages (another bonus for returning packages here!) which was a free hand sanitizer with purchase! The store itself is very organized and clean. Brightly lit with wide aisles and a lot of choices with office supplies and even some home items. I would say their stuff normal priced are a little higher but sometimes they have good sales (online too!). I had a problem with a purchase back in December, gift card related. The gift card company, american express along with Staples could not seem to help me. I decided to visit the staples store that I deal with on a regular basis, 2650-1 Sunrise Hwy in East Islip, NY. The manager, Janine C was in and I explained my situation, she thought about it, saw that I did have the gift cards along with the original staples recipt showing them purchased and paid for. I came into Staples this morning to get passport pictures done and the lady that took my pictures made a simple mistake and didnt tell me to take off my glasses. I then came back to this same staples to ask for a refund because, I paid $20 and I couldnt use the pictures that they took. The new cashier then called over the supervisor from the paper section and she was extremly rude and unprofessional to me. She came over with an attitude and wasn't apologetic over a mistake that they made and that I had to pay for. I only got store credit which I was fine with but, the supervisor at the paper section needs to get retrained on how to handle situations and her customer service skills. She only escalated an issue that I didn't even have and I wasn't even dissatisfied with the service I revived until she came over and spoke to me with disrespect. 2 stars only because everyone else at the store was kind to me a bad apple ruins the bunch. read more

Always super easy and convenient to use for the UPS drop off especially with Amazon packages. Huge parking lot located in Airport Plaza. Definitely more convenient that going to the UPS store where I live. Also super convenient when having to mail or print something. You can send your information to their email provided at the store or online and they will print it on the spot for a fee! read more

I literally never write yelp reviews but I had to after my experience here. I came here to print my wedding table signs and after feeling beyond stressed out and just wondering what else could go wrong, I was anticipating this to be a pain. As a former Staples employee (in Mass and at the corporate office) I had expected a lot more from this store and am a lil bias on how I feel about Staples, Inc. I've been here a few times and I find that I'm always disappointed in one way or another whenever I come in. The final straw for me was when I wanted to ship something. I walked in and went directly to the ship center knowing what to do (as 1. I was afterall a former employee and knows the system since I had fixed these damn things. 2. I have used them before and they have a Customer screen for a DIY). The obnoxious associate immediately came over and said "I'll help you with that." Me: "No, it's fine, I've done this before and I know the system, I used to work for Staples." Associate (in a snippy conotation): "Uhhhh, no I better do it." Me: Fine, whatever. (In my head--- OKAY FINE! DO IT! Let's see how much you fuck up ) Turns out after I wrote down all my info on an "Easy Sheet" for her, 10 minutes later, she indeeds F*CKS up my order. I ask the girl about the insurance since I was shipping out a GPS and would need the $100 automatic coverage which it didn't show a declared value for my package. She's got no idea what I was talking about and stares at me blankly for a few seconds. I then SHOW her and was like this is what I was talking about - I should have done this myself and then knew it was going to be done RIGHT. She then grabs her manager, who also had an attitude problem and had no idea WTF I was talking about. She insisted that everything is correct but she couldn't even locate my order in the system - "did you pay for it yet?" NOOOO I have not because I'm still standing here. And you do not have to pay for your order before it corrects itself and should still be in the system - you should be able to pull it up in the system and edit the order. IDIOTS! Me: "You know what, just cancel it, I'm just going to go to UPS directly" Manager: "That's what I'm trying to do." - (Did I ask you to cancel it before?) Me: "Please do, and please shred all my information." -- ::Grabs box and storms out angrily:: If she had just let me do my own thing from the very beginning it would have saved all of us a whole lotta trouble and wasted time. Not to mention the fact that I've dropped the fact that I was a corporate employee previously, and yet no response to that. Hmmmm... maybe a letter to her district and regional managers as well as corporate office might help them with their customer service. Had the worst experience with their printing team last night. Both guys behind the counter had absolutely no idea what they were doing when I simply asked for 1 print that was already formatted and sized for printing. I spent 40 minutes in your store, was even asked to come back in 10 minutes as I did they still couldn't figure out how to print my imagine right. Thank god he didn't charge me for all the mess ups he printed! I haven't been to this location in months but it's genuinely sad to see how dysfunctional this location has finally become. I would've respected these employees more if they just told me, instead of having me come behind the counter to try and format it for them, that they had no idea how to do their jobs right. Absolutely ridiculous and I will now be traveling farther for another Staples so my time won't be wasted. read more

Warning! I faxed 9 pages and paid $16. and change. If you need to send a fax please find a different way, as this is another example of corporate greed. Nobody in the store had to help me, I walked in and performed the fax by myself. This is outrageous. read more

First, when I asked a worker who was walking down the aisles in her red Staples shirt "excuse me can you tell me which aisle has crayons?" she said "No. I haven't clocked in yet." Then I spent 2.5 hours school supply shopping with my 2 kids. After everything had been bagged and loaded, I realized I had no wallet. I had a checkbook, photo ID with my employers name/address/#, a cell phone verifying all my personal info, and my staples rewards ID number verifying the thousands of dollars I've spent in that store. They would not allow me to make the purchase. The young manager was nasty, lacked compassion, and offered no alternative solution. For me the worst part was the sense that she had absolutely no idea that it MATTERED that I had to leave empty handed. That I have a job, kids, a life to live and that this decision caused inconveniences to me that she can't possible imagine. My kids were both crying. Even if her decision to not allow me to make the purchase was legitimate (and I don't think it was given my ID) I will never shop there again because of the attitude and detachment of the employees. read more

Please don't waste your time in this store, especially the copy shop. The people who work there are disinterested in helping you and are just rude. They have this attitude like "you want me to print that for you?" I politely asked the associate how much it would cost to blow up four images and have them laminated and cut. He kept quickly giving me the same high price even though I was asking for a large backing and a small backing. I finally gave up and left. All of them seem to be tired and lacking in knowledge. They don't want to help anyone. So my $100 order walked out of the store. read more

I have been dealing with staples in most capacities of what they have to offer including shopping in the store, needing information about products and printing jobs done there as well as ordering marketing material on line. In all of my experiences with this store in Farmindgale I have never once been disappointed. I find all of the staff eager to help in every way. My orders are always done in a timely manner and the help desk at copy and print are on the spot when you need them. Even when they are busy they take time to help. I will continue to use this store as my go to for all of my personal and business needs. read more
