By far the best customer service in any of the Office Superstores on the Central Coast....especially in the Copy Center! I waited about 20 minutes in the Paso Robles store for the assistant manager to help me send a package by UPS. He didn't know how to use the program but left me standing there while he tried to figure it out. I finally left and drove to the Atascadero store and I was in and out of the store in about 5 minutes. This kind of 5 star service happens every time I go there! read more

This store is my favorite for office products. The computer guys are very helpful and steered me towards a great printer that I love. Also, when they didn't have what I needed, one of the guys was able to direct me to another place that did. That's first class service in my book! read more

The print staff is great (Debbie specifically) and really helped me out when I was in a bind.

Have received very mixed service from this store -- there have been a couple kind and helpful employees but have also received very poor customer service here. I called to get pricing from the copy center and they told me to go to the internet. I asked if they could look it up for me so I didn't have to. (that is what service is, right?) She put me on perma-hold so while waiting, I went to staples.com as she recommended. Can't find anything other than 250 qty ($20) yet she told me they can do as few as 100. She comes back eventually to quote me 100 cards for $20. Huh? Why twice as much? She then tells me that the prices I get online are not the same as store prices because one is same-day and the other is not. That's why I called the store in the first place is because I wanted same day. If I had wanted to order online and wait for delivery, I would've done that instead of calling the store and being annoyed by the run-around. I realize corporate wages for these poor service people leave them overworked and underpaid so I don't place full responsibility there. I do, however, want Staples to know that your underpaid staff have resulted in my going to another print shop. read more

The Atascadero location is so under stocked on computers, laptops and notebooks, customers only have the internet to shop from. I have been looking for a nice notebook for two months at this location, never have anything in stock, and they always ask if you are planning to purchase it right now. What difference would it make, they don't have it in stock there anyway. Looking for nice electronics, shop Costco or Best Buy. read more

Most reviews are older here. I used to go to staples all the time to get my office supplies. I have been unimpressed lately with the lack of variety and availability of stocked items. Make sure your item matches the tag. This can be a costly mistake in the paper and files area especially when buying large amounts of items. I have also seen a decline in customer service. When I need to find an associate to locate an item or see if more of an item is in stock, I can never find anyone available. They are either checking out customers or in the printing area. They are not very helpful or enthusiastic. With the horrors out of the way, at least the store is clean. I wonder what has changed in the last six months to a year to cause this. read more

I can't figure out why everyone has given this Staples good ratings... Every time I go here I wait forever for someone to help me and when I call I sit on hold forever! No one even answers to ask me to please hold. Bad customer service if you ask me... Wish we had more places in the area to choose from. read more

Every time I go to this Staples I encounter one of the rarest things in retail, one of the staff asks me if I need any help. Really, I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME. This is the best office supply store I have been to and I would definitely recommend shopping here. read more

seriously understaffed in the print dept! That's what happens when Big Box Stores come to small towns they are like new brooms sweeps well at first! All the well staffed print stores that closed there doors due to lack of support so now you are stuck with the only store in town where you have wait an Unacceptable amount of time to get nothing done! read more

This store has been solid with their prices and services. They have been competitive with online deals, informative about rewards, willing to give coupons and discounts, have had quick service on Black Fridays as well as competitive prices. Their copy and print dept. has been valuable for copying color photos and the like. If you ever need to resolve an issue, the store manager Debi will take care of it for you. On the flip side, I would have given it 5 stars if years ago they hadn't turned us away for a replacement battery compartment screw for a Lenovo laptop that we had purchased from them. Some of their younger staff in the Tech dept. obviously needed more training when my wife asked for a little help with that Lenovo. Debi told me they are able to replace the screws now and she's the go to person for me now. Staples rewards program has been very time consuming and not exactly "EASY" or user friendly but that is not a reflection on this store. If anything, I can say that Debi will make it right if you also have a problem with it . I live in A town and am glad to have this store nearby. They are an asset to our community. read more
