Did a beautiful and timely job on my printing order. 5 stars to the printing department. Sadly, the HP printer I purchased during the pandemic didn't even last 3 years, but hey, I bought the 4 year protection plan so I'm ok, right? Nope. Could only find the duplicate receipt, and had the charge on my credit card bill to prove it, but local Staples could not find it since they changed systems, and called customer service who found the sale in my account, but could not give me a copy(why?) so I could file a claim with their Asurion protection plan company.Asurion would not take the verification I had, and would not help me. Reached out to staff at Staples, and gave the info to them so their manager could see if anything could be done but never heard back. I realize it is on me for not registering the printer online immediately and losing the original receipt, but I was coping with extreme stress during the pandemic as many of us were, and it was obvious to both customer service and staff at Staples that I was owed a refund, based on the information they had, and which I provided. Yet i did not receive the help I needed or the refund. I will never buy another HP printer, and I will not make major electronics purchases at Staples in future, and my advice is don't pay for a protection plan, and do register your product immediately. read more

I don't think curbside was an option but he was so kind to help me so I didn't have to get my kids out for such a small and short task. Once he got me my item, I asked him about the color and again, he didn't hesitate to go back in and get me a new color. He did not make me feel like I was an inconvenience at all. Staples is a large office supply chain. This particular one is located in the Aliso Town Center. I come here primarily for ink for my office printers and every once in a while to get something printed. The good thing they do here is that they will match prices even against Amazon. So you never feel like you got a bad price ! Customer service here though is horrible. Workers are rude and don't want to help you find products. The printing services are also ridiculously high. I started going to local printers like OC Print Studio which is in the area to get a better price. This store is weird! They're in the midst of renovation, although prior to their construction, I hadn't had any issues. I came in with some time to kill, and was greeted by the, well, greeter. He pointed out where the paper was, which I found, but then attempted to find command strips. Apparently, I was speaking a foreign language, and had to describe in detail what exactly that product was. Next, a second employee was flagged over and ignored their co-workers plea for help, instead saying "I don't know; I'm doing something else," then walking away. Finally, a third employee was brought in. Again, I had to perform a monologue as to what command strips are, and then was finally escorted to the command strip aisle. Yes, the elusive command strip, despite being an unknown product, had its own aisle. Perhaps they are frazzled or otherwise thrown off by the renovations, but I found it bizarre that in an overstaffed store, few people were familiar with the products. read more

I was shown various laptops on sale, in which the salesman answered all my questions and thus, I made my decision for purchase and added software and a service protection plan.The data transfer from my old computer was within a couple of days and effortless, but after receiving it, I was dissatisfied with the speed and camera, so I returned it for a refund but didn't after being well assisted again by the same salesman in which I was shown a better computer at a slightly higher cost, but oh was it so worth it! Just told me to call the Master gift card number. Did that. 5 month later still no refund or replacement. Shahin Salut, Sales Manager at the Aliso Viejo store is an absolutely wonderful human being, as well a very professional and competent manager. I have known Shahin since he worked in the print department. What I always noticed was that he treated each customer as if they were the most important person in front of him. Now that he is the manager, not only does he have excellent customer service skills, but he also treats his staff with dignity and respect. And in turn, they respect Shahin, which makes for great energy and friendliness in that store on the part of the staff. It all starts with Shahin's respect for people. I have been a customer at this store for the last 10 years. Recently, I dropped my lap top on a concrete surface. So scared that I had damaged it, I took it in to Shahin. He went way above and beyond to diagnose the issue in an effort to save it, but to no avail. I needed a new computer. Shahin could not have been more patient and compassionate in assisting me with the best possible solution for my budget, as a senior.
