This place gives off a very cool speakeasy vibe. What's better than smoking a cigar and having a drink while watching a sports game? Nothing! They have a large variety of cigars and drinks to choose from. If you're ever in Boston, make sure to stop by and check this place out. read more

This place was an absolute gem to find! Not sure how my friends found it, but I'm glad they did! Nice cozy cigar bar, that had great lighting, just enough tv to watch my Cowboys play!! And an excellent choice of drink options to pair with your cigar. I don't believe we had a reservation, so we popped over here after dinner. I wish I would've gotten the name of the man at the door, because he was awesome, such a positive vibe of a guy, you can tell he gets on great with literally anyone! We were seated at our table and greeted pretty quickly, the guys started looking over their choices for cigars, while I perused for what bevvy I was going to get. I went with the Angel's Envy on a beautiful cube, and it was perfection. We sipped, had great convo, and got to watch some of the game. Met some other patrons as well that were super nice. This would definitely be a staple in my book for anytime we're back in Boston! read more

My wife and I stumbled upon this place this last Saturday afternoon and decided to stop in. Very relaxed place with speakeasy vibes. AC was blasting which felt great on a humid day. We both enjoyed a cigar and some drinks as we cooled off. read more

The lighting in the place is unique to building and feeling once seated inside. The drinks are soooo well prepared and the servers are all pleasant and well versed on the menu!!! Cheers!!! Downstairs is a humidor that is the epitome of days past....simply put....the days of back door deals, when handshakes were your word, and life was simple. read more

This is without a doubt, one of the best places in the north end. The ambiance is one of a kind. You head down into what appears to be an old speakeasy. Old brick, low light, an awesome vibe. They have a great cigar collection. Everyone from a novice, to advanced cigar smoker can find something they like. The service here is 10/10. Waitresses are awesome and are extremely friendly (and patient if it's your first time!) I have gotten everything from Pappy, to an espresso martini. We have tried martinis from all over the country, and I'll argue that this is the best. Grab a peroni, a negroni, or an old fashioned, 10/10. On weekends, this place fills up fast. Anything before 7 or so, you'll have no problem getting a table. Otherwise, you may wait, but they'll get you right in. The doorman has been working there for as long as I've been coming. All in all, this place is a 10/10. A must try, a must visit, and truly a buck list spot in you're from out of town. read more

This was a unique cigar lounge located down under the streets of a hustling bustling street in Boston. This famous restaurant-lined street boasts some of the best cuisine ever after dinner, I highly suggest heading over here for a night cap and cigar. I went down some stairs and found myself a perfect place to get lost in your own world, OR if one feels social enough, have some amazing conversations with interesting people from all over. Also met really nice Bostonians who love to share their viewpoints and opinions! The drinks and service are up to par and to the point. No frills given this is definitely a must-go cigar lounge if you visit Boston very well situated in the heart of town, so easy to access and restaurants, and plenty of things to do nearby. read more

I'm from Boston and I've been to many cigar spots in other states but stanzas is always my favorite my home away from home. The crew here is fantastic I always miss this place when I go somewhere else. Never had a bad experience they always take care of me and always so nice. Maggie is the boss and a fantastic lady. The ladies made the best espresso martini ever and Dre is my favorite. read more

This is a top notch experience. Cigar selection was great and the waitress was amazing and knowledgeable. Situated beneath a coffee house, this speakeasy delivers on ambiance. Great location in the north end, and I go here every chance I get, which isn't as often as I'd like. Drinks were fantastic and the waitress was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. read more

Place is pretty much not changed much since I have last been. After the Pandemic it still is a good place but a little note that the lighting seems little lower than last & sometimes if you don't know you might inadvertently have a fall or stumble over something (note to the staff so you can avoid a lawsuit) but even so place has good sticks including their own blends & that's something I've known for years. Service is good with the staff who are trained in cigars & beverages & they pretty good you know. As I said least I did come back with an update on here. read more

Great ambiance. Really cool bar and scene to hangout in grab a drink and a cigar. Great spot in north end look forward to going back.

On June 5th, I was at the @stanzanorthend. A wonderful, old school, speakeasy vibe of cigar bar. KELSEY is an AMAZING bartender. She was very polite, greeted everyone promptly when they came in, and gave lots of information about the place, cigars , and things to do and see around Boston. This Alaskan has found an amazing bar and highly recommend stopping by. The locals are lucky to have this bar. #stanzadeisigari read more

Great place to sit back and enjoy a stick. Service was great and although their choices were limited as compared to other places , the cigar was fresh and smoked evenly. It's dark but there are TV's and music playing. Will be back ! read more

You go because of the amazing service the ladies provide. You leave because of the terrible music they play.

My husband and I enjoyed our time smoking a cigar and sipping on delicious port. The service was okay. Ambiance is great! I think there are a few things I did not appreciate but it's not the fault of the establishment. It's very clear that people who have been partying and drinking end up at this place so it's loud and the conversations you overhear can be a lot! It takes away from the relaxing vibe of what this place could be! Also, I think some nice old school jazz rather than New Age music would suit the cigar lodge better! I'd totally bring my dad, who loves cigars, here! read more

Pretty fussy about seating; they insisted on rusticating me to the back room where every so often one of several bouncers would cast a baleful eye like they were expecting trouble. I understand the insularity of the North End--lived on Salem St a few years back--but I just don't get this place. Cigar Masters was a lot sexier and welcoming. Oh, yeah, the music was canned 90s pop. How about some jazz-ambient appropriate to relaxing with a cigar? read more

The service here is great, but it's not at all how I thought it would be. However that's just my opinion the place is great. I thought it would be more low-key, though. It's definitely a place where you can socialize, there's tons of tables. A beautiful cigar room, and the staff is just amazing. But I thought it was more private, however again it's a great place just wasn't to my liking. read more

I frequent cigar lounges all over the US when I travel and it is interesting to see how each place runs things. You actually walk down from the street into this lounge which was very dark at 3pm. I checked out the humidor, which is locked up, but you can determine what you want and let the server know when you get to your table to settle in. They have a decent selection. I chose the EP Carillo Historia, which is one of my favorites. Their cigars prices are way overpriced, compared to the cigar lounges in my area. Typically I bring my cutter, lighter, and extra cigars and most places are great about letting you smoke your own, after you buy a few plus drinks, which I did. The menu does say there is an $18 charge if you just smoke your own. Drinks were good. I had a beer and Angle's Envy Rye, neat. Overall good experience, after I got used to the initial dungeon feel, but if back in Boston I would probably check out what other places are available. read more

Watching the Yankee game on TV while smoking a stogie?? Priceless I'm in Boston for a few days. I wanna kick back after a nice dinner, have a drink and smoke a cigar. There aren't too many cigar places in Boston, I'm glad I found one with some history. Stanza Dei Sigari fits the bill nicely. It was speakeasy back in the day, gangster haven to Al Capone and even Bill Clinton came by to light up? I just want to smoke cigars, I don't need to use them for any else thankyouverymuch. There are lots of areas to smoke, beside cigars they also offer hookah where people can share a smoke. I ordered a drink and wanted to light up one of my own cigars, I was politely told by the manager I needed to purchase one of their cigars. The cigars leaned towards the expensive side, I did see a nice Perdomo? The manager explains the cigar is a special blend and sold in limited quantities. A few more dollars but worth the price of admission. Sold! I grab my cocktail, light my cigar and watch the Yankees win. Now hows that for a welcome? Stanza Dei Sigari, I liked coming here and I will return when I'm in town again. read more
