This place was an absolute gem to find! Not sure how my friends found it, but I'm glad they did! Nice cozy cigar bar, that had great lighting, just enough tv to watch my Cowboys play!! And an excellent choice of drink options to pair with your cigar. I don't believe we had a reservation, so we popped over here after dinner. I wish I would've gotten the name of the man at the door, because he was awesome, such a positive vibe of a guy, you can tell he gets on great with literally anyone! We were seated at our table and greeted pretty quickly, the guys started looking over their choices for cigars, while I perused for what bevvy I was going to get. I went with the Angel's Envy on a beautiful cube, and it was perfection. We sipped, had great convo, and got to watch some of the game. Met some other patrons as well that were super nice. This is without a doubt, one of the best places in the north end. The ambiance is one of a kind. You head down into what appears to be an old speakeasy. Old brick, low light, an awesome vibe. They have a great cigar collection. Everyone from a novice, to advanced cigar smoker can find something they like. The service here is 10/10. Waitresses are awesome and are extremely friendly (and patient if it's your first time!) I have gotten everything from Pappy, to an espresso martini. We have tried martinis from all over the country, and I'll argue that this is the best. Grab a peroni, a negroni, or an old fashioned, 10/10. On weekends, this place fills up fast. Anything before 7 or so, you'll have no problem getting a table. Otherwise, you may wait, but they'll get you right in. The doorman has been working there for as long as I've been coming. Place is pretty much not changed much since I have last been. After the Pandemic it still is a good place but a little note that the lighting seems little lower than last & sometimes if you don't know you might inadvertently have a fall or stumble over something (note to the staff so you can avoid a lawsuit) but even so place has good sticks including their own blends & that's something I've known for years. I think there are a few things I did not appreciate but it's not the fault of the establishment. I frequent cigar lounges all over the US when I travel and it is interesting to see how each place runs things. You actually walk down from the street into this lounge which was very dark at 3pm. I checked out the humidor, which is locked up, but you can determine what you want and let the server know when you get to your table to settle in. They have a decent selection. I chose the EP Carillo Historia, which is one of my favorites. Their cigars prices are way overpriced, compared to the cigar lounges in my area. Typically I bring my cutter, lighter, and extra cigars and most places are great about letting you smoke your own, after you buy a few plus drinks, which I did. The menu does say there is an $18 charge if you just smoke your own. Drinks were good. I had a beer and Angle's Envy Rye, neat. Overall good experience, after I got used to the initial dungeon feel, but if back in Boston I would probably check out what other places are available. read more
