great place and the preparer was really courteous and kind. Food was great and the ambiance is very nice too

This was my first time here, I went in on June 30th, the staff was very nice, I did feel it took them longer than it should have to bring over my hookah, I was by myself. I thought I was going to get the happy hour special, when the bill came, it was $35 instead of $20, they said since I came in at 6:09 PM they would not honor the happy hour, given it is their right as a business and it is their policy, it left a very bad taste on my mouth as a first time customer, and I will say that them not making an exception just lost a potential recurring patron over them making an extra $15. I still tipped 20%, but I will not come back here again. read more

I was visiting Boston and my sisters and I decided to check out this Hookah Lounge. I am glad we did I would go back as a regular if I lived in Boston! The staff were super friendly and attentive. I will definitely go back if I take another trip to Boston for sure! read more

Ordered: Regular Watermelon Mint Hookah (~$30) with double tobacco (+$6) and disposable hose (+$2.50) House Tea (~$4) with free refills Aya's take: Our last night in Boston and we wanted to do something lowkey but also entertaining. Luckily, Habibi's Lounge offers live music on Fridays (9pm-11pm) and Sundays (8pm-10pm). We arrived around 8:15pm on Sunday and were able to get seated without a reservation. The live band was amazing and played a lot of classic Arabic hits. The Watermelon Mint Hookah was also pretty solid. It lasted for the 2 hours we were there and side note - despite being in a basement, the ventilation in here is great. Despite the hookah itself being good, being Middle Eastern myself and of all the hookah lounges I've been to, I have never heard of "double tobacco" which we felt pushed to get and paying for the disposable hose is crazy. Like what was my other hose option and why isn't that included in the $30 price tag already? These little money grabs turn me off from wanting to come back. The House Tea was a typical black tea which was sweet and slightly minty. They come around frequently to top your cup off which was great. It seems like Boston doesn't have much of a hookah scene so Habibi's Lounge did the job. Good time, overall! read more

First and foremost I would definitely say the customer service is amazing. It didn't take long before my friends and I were greeted & seated. The parking around the area is decent but they do not have dedicated parking so prepare for street parking. The servers frequently check up on you and always have a smile on their face. We order Tea and they did not let our cups go empty for long big kudos to them. I didn't not buy Hookah because I don't smoke but I did buy food! I've tried their Baklava, Arabic coffee, Hummus, Mint Tea and their Mixed Shawarma Platter. The food that I had eaten was small in portion I ordered a lot but was not nearly full. Typically Platters are made to share, but honestly I could have eaten 4 platters on my own and not even have felt half full the way the portion sizes are. The Arabic Coffee was in an extremely small cup 1/4 of your palm size and was not worth the $6 to get it, not only the coffee but these choices were some of the most expensive on the menu. The bread to hummus ratios was pretty scarce! Their Mint Tea tho was my absolute favorite, I drank so many cups, I would comeback for the tea alone. Aside from the food the themes, art, and structure of the restaurant is unique. They have round couches, unique Calligraphy, and beautiful lighting throughout the establishment. As someone who is foreign, it gives a feel of home, and I truly enjoyed scenery the most. read more

Very cool and chill spot below street level. Amazing spot to listen to Arabic Music and smoke Hookah. The band on Sunday night was so so good. The patrons can dance and sing along while enjoying their smokes and drinks. They also have small appetizers and wonderful tea. The place is super cool and different than anything I have seen. Go and enjoy. read more

Great ambiance cozy place to enjoy hookah. They are friendly and welcoming and their tea is delicious. I was told they have good sandwiches but unfortunately we stopped after dinner couldn't try it. Maybe next time when visiting Boston again. read more

It was the worst hookah experience I've ever had, they forced us to buy two hookahs, even though we wanted a lot of food, I never recommend it, I don't recommend anyone to go here, they are very rude to customers. read more

This place is located in a perfect spot which goes into the basement and watch out for street parking. (I was here on a Saturday evening and we had to park a couple of blocks away). The hookah was served perfect as the pots were rigid and lasted for about more than hour without any trouble. They have an unlimited refill house tea that goes perfectly well. I enjoyed the music and ambience of the place which gives you a perfect Middle East experience. read more

Great hookah and it's not too expensive as well. They give you tea. I definitely wish they had some drinks but I don't think they have a problem with you bringing your own in. As well, they have a decent amount of food but they definitely need to work on keeping their bathrooms clean. read more

Went here for my birthday celebration last weekend and it was an incredible experience. Mario, the manager, was incredibly welcoming, passionate, and eager for all of us to have a great time. He succeeded. The hookah flavors were great, the food was all delicious, and the special tea was a perfect cherry on top. Very grateful for Mario and his staff, and I will definitely be back soon. read more

I don't review the food or the place first because my interactions that create an experience are with the staff who create the atmosphere of the place. It's a connection that immediately occurs and doesn't happen with everyone, because not everyone greets you with sincerity. Someone greeting you with a sincere smile is different than one that is insincere - the number of facial muscles involved is very different. Sebastian M and Juan I delivered an experience that made me feel like part of the family. Thank you, my Habibi! Sebastian's and Juan's recommendations were spot on, and they were not rushed to explain to me as I do ask one too many questions, but it does pay off. Mario Boutros, I return to the Habibi Lounge simply because I felt like Sebastian and Juan made me feel like family. Simply, they treated me with respect and did it with a smile...a sincere smile - that is something that is missing in this world. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This place is super chill and very authentic for good hookah. Definitely the only place worth going in Boston. I don't even try to go on the weekends since it gets insanely busy and even going on a Tuesday night it got packed. Every so often there is live music, otherwise it has Arabic music going. The staff are pretty good at refreshing the coals regularly, although our server was a bit slow refilling tea. I highly recommend the watermelon hookah with the house tea. read more

Habibi's Lounge - Hookah Bars Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

On a cold winter's eve, a group of 4 friends visited Habibi's Lounge, as there is absolutely nothing exciting to do elsewhere in Brookline. Upon arrival, we realized it was a cockfest and we were the only girls. Tinder dream come true? Sign me up. Just kidding, they were all fratty college guys. This lounge was packed with so many of them it was uncomfortable as heck, but we stayed anyways! The hookah was strong and they offer a variety of flavors. ~20-25 each. But behold, they serve unlimited mint Moroccan tea! It was so perfect and made us very mellow and relaxed. I'm convinced they spiked the tea with unicorn tears. Until this day, we talk about "remember that hookah spot in Boston with that mint tea?" Can't wait to visit again for that awesome tea! :) read more

Don't like it, the place is not clean, charges a bit more than what I expected, and staff behavior needs improvement

We first walked in and we're really sad Ramon no longer works here! He was great! Told Mario we would leave a 5 star review for his incredible card tricks! No sleeves and I have no idea how he pulled them off, had hubby and I laughing out loud! Great service by Paul and Mario today read more

Hands down - Best hookah lounge in Boston. gets quiet busy in the evenings. Seems to be a regular for many. Comfy furniture and the coal is changed frequently. Flavors to try - Peach, Guava, Double Apple & Mint. Also tried the flatbread, Hummus & Pita. read more

Came to Boston and wanted to listen to music and smoke hookah. Waited 30 mins because the place had live music and there is only 5 tables lol. Then finally we are about to get seated my they wanted my ID! Lol I'm 40 + years old. It's obvious on over 21. Still was refused a seat! Don't trip I had better hookah and someone else enjoyed my money. read more

My co worker just dragged me to come to this place cause the other one that we got a groupon for is was closed. So we decided to go back to the other side of the street and went into this place. Since it's it's my first time at this place I was looking around when I first came in the door. It was pretty chill and all I see was red lol. We got our order and it was good. My friend enjoyed being there and she taught me how to do the hookah, obviously I need practice but we had fun that evening and would love to come back next time when we have a chance!! read more

Usually hookah lounges have two issues: 1. Terribly uncomfortable seating 2. Poor ventilation leading to extremely smoky atmosphere This place rectifies both issues It has comfortable seating and very well ventilated. Nescafé is one of the best here and hookah is also very good! read more

Great service, great hookah. The ambience makes you feel like you are in the middle east. But very expensive. I think $35 for a hookah is overrated. read more

This place has potential to be great, however service is very subpar. We waited over 15+ minutes for new coals, and the service was not very friendly when we asked about it. We were in the second room from the main entrance, and they barely check that room except to bring new customers in. We are paying $25 for this experience, and I think the lack of good customer service with this price point is disappointing. read more

hands down best hookah lounge in the Greater Boston area. Trust me, I know my shisha. I mean all things aside you come here to smoke shisha- so the shisha better be good, right? It was, honestly the best I've had in Boston. Smooth, delicious, fantastic and decently priced. The menu is pretty extensive, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere/ambiance is awesome- right up my alley and definitely what you should look for in a hookah lounge- Arabic music blasting, really comfortable cushion seating, dimly lit and smoky. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Love the vibe in here. Do keep in mind it's fairly small so often times on a busier night you have to put your name on a list, and the door guy will call you when there's room- but honestly you normally don't have to wait any longer than 30 minutes in my experience- and there are a ton of bars nearby that you can bide your time in. Love Habibi's! read more

It's ok. Hookah is about 25$ which is about the most expensive for basic sheesha I've seen anywhere in the world. Seating is also fairly limited that you tend to share with others. Atmosphere was ok. I feel it would have been better with more circulation. Staff were good about giving you new coals but they don't blow the old ash from the well or anything. They also don't offer you anything else with the hookah. Would not recommend for price. read more

We went here on a cold day, we were a group of 5 however only 3 of us are Hookah smokers. However we were told it's mandatory to have 2 Hookahs even tho our friends weren't smoking. I'm not a big smoker, so to have 2 hookahs between 3 of us was really excessive! The lounge isn't very ventilated and most of the time it just feels like you're suffocating. The waitress also asked us if we would like tea, with which we responded no thank you, so she said I'll just bring you one each for you to try and then next thing you know 5 teas were charged to our bill and we didn't even enjoy the tea. We won't be making our way back here, it's really pricey and nothing too special read more

AS I SAID PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! People doesn't have any sense of behavior...my frd n I reached there after a 30 minutes drive and the guy upfront asked out ID(which is good) . My frd has the learners driving license which we were using everywhere n never had problem but this guy totally refused to let us in...my frd had a passport copy in his phone but the guy didn't even wanted to help...HE HAD NO MANNERS HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS. I still really love this place, but the service has declined over the past few months. Last Sunday it took them 20 minutes to give us coals. We asked multiple times and nothing. Same with the tea. If you can, get the large cup because who knows when they will refill it again. read more

Reasons for bad rating: 1. This place might be colder than outside lol. We did enjoy the hookah at first but it was so cold in the room that we could not be fully relaxed but felt like we are shuddering in a Eskimo's igloo 2. Many of us felt sick after we left. I felt dizzy and I thought it was because I smoked too much(I am lightweight) but it was not and I literally threw up. 3. The policy forces us to order 2 hookahs for 5 people. I know it is sort of common for a hookah bar to enforce this kind of policy but I still do not agree with this business principles. read more

I enjoyed the first time I went to this lounge, but it went downhill from there. The second time I went in, it was very crowded and there was almost no space to sit down, yet the staff still did. The price is very steep especially when they add coals or give you an extra mouthpiece. At times the staff can be a little tense. I would suggest driving elsewhere if possible, if not, this is your best choice for the area. read more

This is a really fun place to just chill and hang out with your friends! I don't usually do hookah, but when I do, this is the spot that I always recommend because it is such a low-key/relaxing/fun/chill place. They have a variety of different flavors. I don't go here often enough to recommend good flavor combinations but I do recommend the mint & apple combination. It worked really well for me and gave me almost zero headache at the end of the night which was amazing! Also, if you plan to go with a group of friends, order only one cup of their house tea. They refill it often enough that you can share it amongst your friends. read more

Having spent plenty of time in Morocco and Syria, I'm a hookah lover. Since there are a couple of other cool spots in Allston, I've already gotten over the outrageous American prices (seriously, $25 for something that costs you less than $1? I digress), and am now prepared to judge a place on its merits entirely. So, that said, I freaking love Habibi's! It's in a HORRIBLE location (under the McDonald's that homeless people pee on all day? awesome), which almost adds to its charm. You go in expecting it to smell like french fries and are instead confronted with a red-lit den of iniquity-type atmosphere. The servers are quick, efficient, and friendly, the house tea (a mix of black and green, sweetened, $3) is served in Turkish tulip glasses and comes with free refills, and the shisha ($25, same as everywhere else) is top-notch (and the selection of flavors comparable to Nile and superior to Sheesha Lounge). We didn't eat, but the hummus at the next table was served properly (with olive oil and paprika of course) and looked mighty delish. But, what truly sets this place off from the others is the seating...Low Moroccan-style banquettes wrap the perimeter, facing outward, creating a cozy, familial atmosphere. Loved it. read more
