The delivery people were rude and negligent and destroyed my new floors, my front door, my door casing/trim, the molding and the fridge itself. Just look at the photos. We had just spent a lot of money to remodel our new home and were excited to move in when this happened. What's worse, I put in a claim for damages with P.C. Richard and they DENIED my claim. They completely deny any liability and left me with almost FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in damages. I have never encountered such HORRIBLE customer service in my life and will never order from P.C. Richard again -- and urge everyone else to do the same. Even if they're a little cheaper than other retailers, it's not worth the risk of destroying your home!

When receiving the call confirmation, I was told the window time would be 1-4pm. Then I received a text that said 1-5pm. I called Saturday, and asked if I could have it delivered before or around 3 PM. The sales rep said they should be there around 3 PM. An hour later I get a text that said that they were running late and the delivery would probably be 6:30 PM. I called the store, and tried to explain that this was unacceptable, and this is when the trouble started. The acting manager, Brian, was very disrespectful, and argumentative to the point that, he would not reschedule or commit to the 3 PM time. I told him that I would be taking this up with the store manager, and the owner. The attitude of this acting manager was unprofessional, and very upsetting. I've been doing business with this company for a long time, and it's very disappointing to have been handled this way. I've requested three times for someone from the main office to call me, with no response. Shame on them!

Told receptionist specifically to inform old man that he is to pull around back as a courtesy to him so he could get to and from his truck more easily and so he wouldn't have to remove his work boots. This little appliance company is the only business I ever heard giving a 5 hour window... He came to my front door, I told him he needs to remove his dirty works boots because my toddler plays on our floors in our house. He sucked his teeth and then claimed his boots are "squeaky clean". When I told him he needed to drive around back he shook his head in disgruntlement. When I went to tell him what I had found wrong with dryer, he cut me off saying that it was in his service PO... Guess he must have missed the note telling him to drive around back... or his receptionist is just as worthless and didn't add the note after I ensured twice that she would get the message to him.

Jimmy got us an in home repairman to evaluate the a/c within 2 days. When the repairman arrived he was very professional and knowledgeable about the a/c and deemed it not fixable but advised that he would notify the main office we to arrange for a replacement. The main office contacted us and said there would be "no replacement from GE warehouse until after July 2, That was unacceptable as no guarantee when it would actually be available. Not to mention the predicted heat wave this week! Jimmy said they had " 58 "identical to the one we bought less than a year ago a/c's in Appliance sale plus'own warehouse!" Jimmy encouraged us to advise GE of their availabilty. After many phone calls to GE we were finally given permission to buy one from Appliance Sales Plus and GE are reimbursing us the full cost and installation costs! We are happy that GE did the right thing but we couldn't have done this without Jimmy's help. Jimmy went the extra mile for us...he understood that it was not just a comfort issue but a health issue! So I Bing (Like Google just different search engine) Appliance Stores with great service. And Gringer popped up. Tom gave me a tour of all that they had to offer including the downstairs. He also informed me that if I chose to use them that I could buy the appliances and they would hold onto them until I was ready for delivery. I liked this option. Seven months later, because wrong windows were ordered & kitchen floor needing to be replaced with new floor joists. I'm finally back at Gringer and Andrew helps me this time. Keep in mind both times I go to the store after work in my work clothes, so I'm kinda not smelling that great, diesel fuel & dirt on my sweatshirts. Not cute at all. But They treated me as if I had walked in with a Chanel suit. No judgement. And he does some thing that I think all customer service people should do. He asked me what I liked in the appliances that I was looking for what my style was, and what features that I needed. Then said he would put together some appliance packages. Like if I needed to stay with the same brand or was it OK to mix and match and he said he would email me what he had for me & to go over them at my leisure, and get back to him. I appreciate a person who is a man or woman of their word, and he did exactly that. He gave me many options. He got back to me in a timely manner along with the options. He emailed me all of the spec sheets and everything had the cost on it. I went to appliance world in Huntington, Plessers in Babylon, Capuano in Farmingdale, several PC Richards and yes, even Lowe's and Home Depot. And online of course. So yes, I shopped around but from my first meeting with Tom and Andrew, I knew it was gonna come down to service which is very important when buying appliances . But not only was the service great the prices were outstanding and the fact that they checked out every rebate and discount for me was awesome. Finance options were also explained thoroughly. I didn't get delivery until February because this project is ridiculously long. So Gringer held my appliances for me until I was ready for delivery! My contractor took even longer to hook them up so I didn't know how great they were until this weekend. But I cannot recommend highly enough Gringer's exemplary customer service from beginning to end. And beautiful appliances to boot! 4-22-2024
