It shut down on Thanksgiving Day while I was preparing dinner for 12 people in our newly renovated kitchen. GE Bodewell "repaired" FOUR times. Within minutes of the repair tech leaving our house EVERY TIME the bottom oven beeped, showed faults, smelled awful and shut down. I spent literally hours trying to speak to an actual person at GE. I finally spoke to someone who promised that the situation would be escalated and my request for a SAFE replacement would be "considered ". They eventually refused to do more than send another technician. I didn't have an oven for Christmas dinner, either. Appliance World did NOT HAVE to help in any capacity other than to contact GE. BUT THEY DID!!! They replaced, delivered and installed my new range this morning--all at their own expense. We've been loyal Appliance World customers for years, and will continue to go to them for our next appliance purchase. THANK YOU!! I want to add that we received frequent updates concerning delivery and installation times and Oscar and his crew were extremely efficient, helpful and professional. They were careful and respectful of our property and left the job impeccably clean and neat.

Her friendly and approachable rapport as well as strong relationships with customers and vendors made it way easier to buy things, such as sand for interim solutions when ice melt was out of stock for all local HD stores especially for upcoming snow storms. Plus, she educated me to correct what I learned from my science teachers about sand, which helps with traction, not lowering the freezing point like salt. Moreover, she helped get a vendor to assess how to replace a door for a basement walkout with a standard (instead of custom) door with custom labor for cement work to ensure the sill's threshold is repaired by their partner, Lex Construction, and fits the door with hopefully less water coming in during big rain storms. Given my dad's hearing impairment among his other disabilities, she helped accommodate us with a wealth of wisdom and training on customer service, especially for those who are neurodivergent. We truly appreciated her white glove service with empathy, powers of persuasion, and proactive follow-up for handling our questions and getting them answered so efficiently and effectively. Other reps and stores would normally dismiss our inquiries on details or react defensively as if they're being challenged when we just want to simply understand the logic behind why a custom door is needed. Moreover, we appreciate collaborative vendors especially when we're trying to explore the possibilities of a standard door if we're already paying for custom labor for cementing the sill to be flat or sloped to fit the door. This open-minded approach and resourcefulness to leverage the system for helping your customers solve their home improvement problems makes them want to come back more for repeat business with those who they can trust to help fix things and do it well. I also appreciated their supervisor for explaining why their schedule for delivering ice melt for the upcoming snow storm was unknown. It helped broaden my understanding of their process and limitations from their vantage point of what they know and can make possible. The installers refused to shave down our doors, Home depot said it was the installers responsibility, installers US-Installations, said it was Home depot responsibility. Home depot said they were looking for someone to fix the matter....NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!!! I was told by the HD manager.. "If I was you I would just get a carpenter to fix the doors"! I chose them over a competitor twenty-five miles closer to me because of their reputation for honest dealing and skilled service technicians. Over the past twenty years, I have found this to be the case. I recently replaced my original dw with a new Asko from Ackerman's, whose technician and I ran into problems that called for an oscillating saw (neither of us had one and it would have taken an hour to locate and obtain one from a neighbor) but were solved with hammer, chisel, muscle, and skill (none of it mine). Really impressive.

He came to take a look at the space and provided his recommendation and promptly sent us the quote after. We had gotten quotes from multiple places and their pricing was fair. He was very responsive and answered all of the questions we had. For any questions he wasn't able to answer immediately he got back to us promptly with the answer. Seth and another guy was responsible for installing the unit on the day of. John came by to make sure the installation was going okay. The guys were quick and efficient with the installation. The job itself was very clean install of the unit and they covered the pipe going down the side of my house so it looks a lot better! They completed the installation all in one day, which was great! They took away the old unit and cleaned up afterwards. We also ended up upgrading our thermostat. John was accommodating and sent Seth back at a later time (after we received the new thermostat) to install the new thermostat. It took a bit to get the heat pump working but ultimately it was all done and John and Seth stayed to make sure both the AC and heat pump was working. So we were very happy with how the project was handled and completed.

Washing Machine stopped midstream and wouldn't drain or turn. So I went to Yelp and put in a repair quote for my appliance guy Pete who I've used several times with outstanding service. He immediately replied that he was closed because of Covid 19. But I also received an immediate response from Billy of Island Appliance who said Connie was in the office and to giver her a call to set up an Appt. So I did. Connie indeed was in the office at 9pm and said her technician was out on a call in Huntington. She contacted him and got back to me within 10 mins. He gave me the choice of coming by after he finished the Huntington job or tomorrow. In this crazy times of Covid 19 I was able to get immediate service. He or should I say they SHOWED UP AT 11:30pm?! YES that's exactly what I said!! 11:30pm! Appliance angels! He had the parts (Drain Pump & bearings) & fixed my washer promptly. Not sure but I think it was his son with him. He was teaching while fixing. Both were Very friendly. This truly meant the world to me because fortunately both me & my son are still working so we need to be able to wash our things in the short span of time that we are home.
