Appliance World came through for us when GE did not! Our GE PROFILE electric 30" slide in double oven was installed May 22, 2025. It shut down on Thanksgiving Day while I was preparing dinner for 12 people in our newly renovated kitchen. GE Bodewell "repaired" FOUR times. Within minutes of the repair tech leaving our house EVERY TIME the bottom oven beeped, showed faults, smelled awful and shut down. I spent literally hours trying to speak to an actual person at GE. I finally spoke to someone who promised that the situation would be escalated and my request for a SAFE replacement would be "considered ". They eventually refused to do more than send another technician. I didn't have an oven for Christmas dinner, either. Appliance World did NOT HAVE to help in any capacity other than to contact GE. BUT THEY DID!!! They replaced, delivered and installed my new range this morning--all at their own expense. We've been loyal Appliance World customers for years, and will continue to go to them for our next appliance purchase. THANK YOU!! I want to add that we received frequent updates concerning delivery and installation times and Oscar and his crew were extremely efficient, helpful and professional. They were careful and respectful of our property and left the job impeccably clean and neat. read more

Tip: do not go close to closing. Just walked out with about 10 employees milling about chatting away at front desk. Had every intention (and really needed to) purchase a washer/dryer. Only the youngest employee came to help who very clearly knew nothing about the appliance we wanted to buy. Walked out and will go anywhere else who have any knowledge about what we wanted and are willing to help. So rude and left feeling completely unvalued and frankly, disrespected. So Appliance world is recommending a repair company, LUXURY APPLIANCE REPAIR. They are totally dishonest regarding Subzero repairs. They barely look at your appliance and tell you that you need to buy a new refrigerator. I then called High End Appliance Inc . They came . Made the easy repairs and my refrigerators are working fine, while saving $17,000. I called Appliance World and complained about their service recommendations. They are referring their customers to a repair company that is actively telling their clients completely wrong info and are encouraging you to purchase a new unit. The Repair Dept at Appliance World COULD NOT CARE LESS AND ARE STILL REFUSING TO GIVE OUT THE NAME OF HIGH END APPLIANCE REAIR. So you can put two and two together. CANNOT REAIR = BUY A NEW FRIDGE. I have over the years purchased 3 dehumidifiers from this company. Always the first one delivery had to be returned reason not working. This present year I swapped 2 machines upon receiving two, the last one the deliver left and I went to I use it, it also did not work. When I call they sent a driver he pick it up, however I was never left a replacement was never told about a swap he was going out East. I call the office told the them that I was discussed and just return my money. I have not heard a thing. I guess that they consider that their customer service. read more

LOCAL BUYERS ALERT. Total scam. Place keeps deposits over $5k when not even delivered. This place is owned by a family instead of a mega corp and will not be afraid to keep deposits. Stay away, call the NYS AG if this happens to you. We had to pay this fee to them to bail out a minority woman, who they kept the deposit of when she couldn't buy a new house. We called the owner to verify and he proudly said they cancelled the delivery so he was keeping.. So we became a customer with no product. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. Best advice think twice... They sold me a 10k barbecue grill that was poorly assembled which made using it very dangerous. The hood fell off on the second use and the hose from the tank to the unit was not tightened resulting in flames shooing out of the back of the grill scorching the rear panel of the grill and my home. This was a very dangerous situation. When I called them they showed a lack of concern over the entire matter was just disgusting. They doubled down on this by blaming the manufacturer for their assembly work ! I made the mistake of buying new Viking kitchen appliances at Appliance World. I am only sharing my factual experiences so you can make your own decisions: - Viking refrigerator arrived with the exterior of refrigerator /freezer door damaged (poor installation of the handles). It takes 4 months to order replacement doors so still waiting 2 months later. - Viking refrigerator alarm goes off incessantly at random hours. Especially between midnight and 8am. Repair people can't figure out why. No resolution yet. - cracked shelf in Viking refrigerator - Viking dishwasher has these plastic strips on either side of door. They both keep on falling off, making dishwasher hard to close. No resolution yet. Pretty insane. Shoddy appliances and poor customer service. I would not recommend. read more

The owner Kevin is very disrespectful to women. He is claiming I yelled which certainly isn't true. My daughter was listening to the entire conversation on speaker. She said to me I can't believe how rude he is. I can't believe he would state I was degrading his staff. I spoke to a woman who answered and she was super sweet and kind. The men were degrading to me. They were arguing and telling me your contractor needs to call. If I work and and I am paying the bill with my husband, I have a right to ask about a product I am purchasing. I am customer. Kevin doesn't know the appliances he is selling. My stove doesn't have a hood. It has a down draft. When they dropped off the appliances they told me they didn't know when the oven was coming. I was told June 1, it might be in that batch, but they weren't sure. Not until I voiced my opinion did they try to get the oven to me earlier. But, June 2 and I don't have an oven. I never yelled, but the men there did yell at me. They were very condescending. They kept repeating they usually talk to the contractors. I guess they don't normally talk to females? I was appalled by their behavior. I am shocked that an owner of an appliance store would respond to a review like this. The installation for a 16k refrigerator is 1250 dollars. I was told by manager it takes two and half hours to put together. That would mean it is like almost $600 an hour to put together a refrigerator!! Not sure this is standard but it doesn't seem right. Again, his response shows the arrogance, narcissism and anger that he shows to the customers. The only reason he read the comment is because I said I posted one. The customer is right. I hope people read the response and realize how wrong it is for an owner to write this! You should know more of the product you are selling. You should treat customers with respect. I am retracting my previous review. It turns out I had not spoken to the right person initially, as the owner contacted my wife to offer a sincere apology. He expressed that he was unaware of our previous experience and promptly made good on all their promises, even adding some extra services. This experience truly reflects the ethos of a family-owned business. Not only do they strive for customer satisfaction, but they also aim to build relationships within the community. It takes me back over a decade ago when I first purchased appliances from Larry. He was the kindest salesman I've ever met. Since then, I've bought over 20 appliances from them in Oyster Bay. John was the best! He took a lot of time with us trying to find the right appliances for our life style and budget. When we narrowed it down to our top 3 he painstakingly went through all of the pros and cons of each. When we first put in the stove the oven was not working - they told us they could not get a technician there for 2 weeks when Christmas was 4 days away. John moved Heaven and Earth to get a technician there, he even had a backup stove waiting for us incase they couldn't fix it before Christmas. I bought all my appliances from Appliance World while renovating my kitchen. When my dishwasher was installed it was not working. Appliance World sent Island Wide Appliance to come look at the dishwasher. The service man failed to remove the screws on the sides of the dishwasher resulting in scratches on both sides of my brand new kitchen cabinets. I contacted Appliance World immediately and sent pictures. After months of back and forth emails and phone calls, they refused to pay to fix the cabinets. I was told and I quote, "to call my insurance company to pay for the damages." They were not taking responsibility for the damage caused by a company they hired. I just built a new house and Cody at Appliance World is by far and away the most knowledgeable, helpful, patient person I've dealt with in the process. He spent a ton of time helping me obsessively choose each appliance and had knowledge that went beyond the manual about each item. Now that I'm in the house a year after choosing everything, Cody has patiently spent time with me going over the ins and outs of each machine, and how to maximize its potential. After waiting a year, we found out appliance world ordered the wrong fridge. We ordered a sub zero and they were trying to deliver us a Thermador. We had to tell them it was the wrong item. The sales person told us it would be another 15 months to get the original refrigerator that we ordered a year ago. His other options were a different model that didn't match or a used model. We intentionally went with them over a cheaper company because my husband thought they were a big and reputable. We purchased all our high end kitchen appliances through them. Wonderful experience! Our contractor recommended them, and, as others have posted, I was used to going to the big box stores. Appliance World was competitive in their pricing (actually a wee bit cheaper). Every person we dealt with was professional and helpful. They communicated with us...helped us with the delivery dates we needed, and also assisted us with the rebates that were available. Each appliance delivered was in tip-top shape. I ordered a whole package of appliance from Appliance World. I had problem with my dryer and washer and I have been dealing with the manufacturer over 1 year, each time I had to wait on the phone for 30+ minutes. Finally, I gave Appliance World a call. They told care of all the issues for me. Robin and Robert from Appliance World rock. I definitely will order from them again. These days, it is hard to find a company who provide great qualify of post sale services. I would have given them 5 stars. Less than 1 star is appropriate! Installation of a washer / dryer was a complete disaster. Once you have paid for the appliance - the service stops. The prior dryer in the house was removed. I was told by the sales person on the day of installation- that the dryer could not be installed since the old vent was removed. I was advised by the sales department to hire a General Contractor to install the vent. I had to reschedule the appointment- which took numerous days for them to arrive. read more

Huntington NY Surprise! Thousand dollar restock fee. My daughter took me to Appliance World in Huntington to buy a new refrigerator. With the help of a salesman, we chose a white French-door Frigidaire from a picture. We removed two cabinets in order to prepare to fit the refrigerator. Then, while we were shopping, my stove broke, not working. At the same Huntington NY store, we bought a Frigidaire electric stove. The salesman recommended a Frigidaire. When the refrigerator came, it was 17.8 cubic feet, way too large for the two of us. To a call about a change to a smaller model, the salesman informed me that the exchange would cost $1,000.00 restocking fee. The stove, installed, is fine, but I just saw, it does not self-clean. The salesman should have better informed us the dimensions of the refrigerator and of the absence of self-clean in the stove We now have one big and one smaller expensive white elephants in our kitchen. The store should have made a complete, detailed presentation of the refrigerator and the stove. This review has been erroneously marked as from California. I would ONLY buy my appliances from this company. Anytime I need anything new in my Kitchen or Laundry they are the first place I go and I live in the city so I have a LOT of choices. Awful Customer service. I spend $15k in new appliances for a new kitchen. Everything delivered fine. When purchasing I noted that I had a concern about the cooktop I was purchasing (a Monogram glass induction) The top being surface mounted left it exposed to get damaged. I was also looking at a Wolf brand that had a frame around the glass edge, but it did not match the other appliances, so we went with the Monogram. I asked if there was any way to protect the edges. I was told "No" that is how it is installed. End of story Fast Forward 6 months after install. I had an accident and dropped a small can directly on the edge of the cooktop, and it cracks the entire cooktop. After my initial meltdown I start looking at how to get it fixed. I also do a google search for any for of edge protection for this particular model. To my surprise result 1 on the search is a "recess kit" for this cooktop. I was never made ware of this option. I call Appliance World tell them my story, and also how I found this recess kit, and why was it not brought to my attention when I asked if there was any kind of edge protection. The response: We don't recommend that, I have been doing this for 15 years and we don't recommend doing that install. If you ever need service you have to take the stove out of the recess prior to it being serviced." I call Monogram. The ABSOLUTELY Recommend the recess kit, as a matter of fact on the installation instructions it lists the recess kit as an option. I even double checked that they do in fact recommend this kit, and they said "Yes" Appliance world Wants nothing to do with that. In the end they are salespeople looking to make a sale. Once you have given you're credit card and out the door they do not care about you. Salespeople get bad names because of service like this. If something doesn't seem right to you. Trust your gut. Don't make a commitment. And certainly don't make the mistake I did by trusting a salesman. read more

We asked in and the store smelled (badly) of food. Seems associates were cooking meals on the grills and in the ovens on display. My husband and I walked around the store for at least 30 minutes and not one associate asked if we needed help. They were either talking to each other or sitting at their desks appearing to be doing something. We even made eye contact and no one smiled or asked us they could be of service. We are remodeling our kitchen and was going to spend a large sum, but we walked out disgusted by the lack of service and people cooking as well as eating on the sales floor. read more

When you enter the store or the property for that matter you are immediately greeted. A staff member will ascertain your need (Kitchen, Entertainment, BBQ, Etc) and direct you to the area which is your wish. There are flavored water stations throughout the store, hot coffee, tea, juice, water, etc. I purchased my entire kitchen from this store as well as my outside BBQ. The customer service is the most exceptional I have ever experienced in my life on this planet. One night when I received my BBQ I was unsure of why it didn't go on, I called the store and spoke to Brian. He completely remedied my situation and the steaks were on the grill within an hour. If you are going to buy from a store this is the place as their prices are guaranteed and I support local businesses. As we all know there is a very long delay on appliances due to chip issues, however once I did receive my stove it did not work. 2 part review; sales and customer service. Back in June 2021 after a major apartment renovation my old refridgerator broke a few weeks later(we didn't replace it b/c it was in excellent condition at that time). We had purchased a new one from a major appliance outlet only to be told by the delivery company that they didn't want to deliver it b/c it wouldn't fit even after the store said it would. My brother in law recommended Appliance World as he only buys high end items and only from Appliance World. We spoke with Cody Butler who recommended a highly rated one at a very fair price one that would fit in our space and even tried to expedite delivery as there was a big backlog on refridgerators at that time and we were using coolers and ice. Excellent recommendation at a very good price and excellent service to get it to us ASAP. Now to customer service. Outstanding! exceptional! We have had several issues with our Frigidaire side by side; these were product issues unrelated to Appliance World. The first refridgerator was damaged when delivered, and a freezer drawer was cracked on the second refridgerator, the LED light in the freezer went out after a few weeks (it should last the life of the unit), and the fourth issue was that the metal started to separate from the refridgerator door (this should never happen at all). Every issue was handled expeditiously by their customer service. Even with backlogs a new unit was delivered within a few days, and an appointment with a technician to repair the light within a few days. However, within hours of the refridgerator door being replaced (late on a Thursday morning) there was air leaking from the door and the "HI TEMP" light went on several times that afternoon and night in spite of our troubleshooting attempts (freezer boost, etc.) I emailed Allie Murphy (customer service) first thing Friday morning. Six minutes later (six minutes!) I got an email from her that she had already contacted the repair company and asked them to fix my issue ASAP. A few minutes later the repair company called and said they would come later that afternoon to take care of the issue. Most people would think I am pulling their leg when I say that customer service addressed my issue within a few minutes. This was outstanding customer service (thanks Ms. Murphy), and what generates generational loyalty to a particular store, where children buy from the same stores their parents shopped at. I live in Brooklyn but intend to always deal with and recommend Appliance World because of their sales staff and most especially their customer service. In over 40 years of apartment and co-op living I don't think I can ever remember getting such great service from any appliance store. read more

We recently attended two classes at Appliance World with each one being dedicated to the appliances that we purchased. I can't say enough good things about Appliance World in Huntington. We used them from start to finish when building our new house and then again when we added an outdoor kitchen in the backyard. I was expecting the prices to be more expensive than the big box stores, but was pleasantly surprised. Not only were the prices comparable, but they work with you to find any and all available rebates. The sales process is no pressure and they truly helped to guide our decisions and not try and up sell us on things we didn't need. We've mostly worked with Simeon and he's super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Post-sale he's helped us with some warranty issues and even made a house call to deliver a backordered part that we were waiting a long time for! Shout out to Allie in the concierge service department who helped coordinate some warranty issues we had after we made the mistake of contacting the manufacturer directly. Can't forget Deanna who is always amazingly friendly, offering refreshments when we walk into the store and making us feel like family! I wouldn't buy an appliance anywhere else! We have moved, renovated and flipped 3 houses in the past few years. I have experienced the purchase and the service of 3 different stores and Appliance World exceeds standards on all fronts. Steve was our salesman. He made it very easy to select our appliances. Even though we did not choose the "high end" appliances they are famous for, they were gracious and had no problems with changes or concerns. When we couldn't find a small trim part that was marked delivered they reordered it without any question or hassle. They tell you to call them if you need service and they will arrange. It is really true. What time and headaches they take off your hands. Worth going out of your way to go there. Their service is unmatched in today's world. They are pleasant and so easy to deal with. Do not go anywhere else. This is the best place for the best service and they stand behind their word. I would love to a list of companies that do so. They would be on top! read more

What a great experience we had with Patrick at Appliance World in Huntington! We are about to gut our kitchen and build a new and improved one. My husband is a professional chef, so this wasnt going to be a quick and easy job. Currently, we have a commercial stove in our kitchen. We knew we had to get a new stove that was approved for residential use. We went to 2 appliance stores that carried some of the high end brands, as my husband wanted a Viking stove that would be as close to commercial as we could get in a residential setting. Those experiences didn't go well at all. After doing some research, I found that the brand Blue Star would allow us to customize a stove, which I felt might be our best option. However, I was not a fan of paying $10,000 for a custom stove and risking it all if my husband wasn't happy with its performance. I reached out to Blue Star with questions, and they sent me specifically to Patrick. My husband was able to see many different stoves "live" and able to see for himself how they would work. Patrick listened to my husband and, after considering all of his concerns and preferences, was able to help us find (and customize) our perfect stove! Patrick never talked down to us. He never rushed us. He never tried to upsell. He was genuinely interested in pairing us up with the perfect appliance. It's such a pleasure to do business with someone who treats you like a human and not an ATM. I'm very excited to see how my new kitchen unfolds, but I am absolutely thrilled that I will never again struggle when shopping for an appliance.
