    Tech was clueless. Changed a thermostat on my oven and the same problem the he supposedly fix happened a week later

    Extremely rude staff, dirty place, not good appliances.. Never again and highly suggest no one to go!!!!!

    TL;DR: We were verbally sold a Bertazzoni range at a specific price, invoiced for a cheaper brand…read morewithout disclosure, and while a refund was issued, management declined to honor what was represented and minimized it as a "miscommunication." This was one of the most deceptive retail experiences I've had, and how management handled it afterward was just as concerning as the sale itself. We visited the Hauppauge P.C. Richard location simply to look at 48-inch ranges, hoping to find something priced similarly to the Forno models sold at Home Depot. The salesman told us that all 48-inch ranges they sell are "higher end" and start around $9,000. A few minutes later, he returned and said his manager approved a 48-inch Bertazzoni for $4,000. Because there was no 48-inch model on display, he repeatedly referenced a 36-inch Bertazzoni on the floor as the example and made it very clear the deal applied to the 48-inch version. That representation was repeated multiple times, including at the point of sale. We completed the purchase and paid by credit card. Only after getting home and reviewing the emailed receipt did I discover that the stove invoiced was not a Bertazzoni at all, but a significantly cheaper brand. We immediately returned to the store, where we were told they could not sell the Bertazzoni for that price, and the salesman claimed he had shown us the cheaper model all along, which is simply not true. This is exactly what most consumers understand as a bait-and-switch. If I hadn't carefully reviewed the receipt, I would have unknowingly taken delivery of a completely different appliance than what was repeatedly represented. Management later issued a refund and apologized, which I acknowledge. However, district management later characterized the entire incident as a "miscommunication" and declined to honor the sale that was repeatedly presented. That response is important. When conduct like this is minimized rather than meaningfully corrected, it tells customers what the company is willing to tolerate. I'm sharing this so others know what to watch for. At this location, verbal assurances mean very little, and the burden is on the customer to catch mistakes after the fact. That is not how a reputable retailer should operate.

BUT in reality dealing with The Appliance MONSTER as an everyday consumer has been a NIGHTMARE. I will be posting on as many business websites as I can regarding his shady FREE 90 day WARRANTY, HIS so called white glove delivery service, and his Roach infested appliances that when they break down to use that WARRANTY you have to bring the appliance BACK to their warehouse for repair...... after the dealings I had with him regarding the damage done by the delivery service to my less than year old kitchen floor, two weeks later- ROACHES in my house, and NOW a refrigerator that doesn't freeze..... I really do not have any faith in his business practices, nor feel assured that they will fix this thing correctly.... especially since it states they are under NO time restrictions for them to REPAIR or REPLACE the appliance in their FREE 90 day WARRANTY!!!! "delivery service wasn't as WHITE GLOVED as you assured me" ... he told me then that I'ld have to take that up with the delivery service.......... almost 20 days later still no response to my claim, pictures, and bill of lading noting they damaged my floor- signed by their driver....... were submitted to them on day 1 which was July 9th, 2014- Today is July 27th, 2014. today July 27th, 2014- I told Michael at the Appliance Monster that after reading the terms in his warranty and not having a way of getting it back to him...I WAS NOT LETTING AM TRUCKING BACK IN MY HOUSE....... that I was going to call an appliance repair service who does ON-SITE at MY HOME estimates..... to repair the refrigerator which is now not remaining cold on either side and is defrosting. WHAT DOES THE MONSTER REPLY this is a direct quote from his e-mail response back to me today........ "As far as your refrigerator is concerned, this is the first time we are hearing of any issues at all. As you know, you have a warranty covering any parts and labor. Please call our store during business hours to discuss the repair or replacement. Additionally, as you are aware , we would be forced to void your warranty if there are any signs of any tampering or repairs done by someone other than an appliance monster employee. Thanks again Michael" BELOW is a scan of his WARRANTY.... that I will be posting it along with the BBB links above, my correspondences with him, and any other information I can find regarding this business's policies and practices, customer service, and DECEPTIVE WEB_SITES, and HIS Delivery Company- AM Trucking-Brooklyn, or AM Home Delivery and Trucking-Brooklyn. I will be posting the NEGATIVE reviews on YELP, Google, AOL, FACEBOOK, and any other business search web-site that The Appliance Monster comes up in............................. really need a ZERO Star rating for these two .... they make used car salesmen look like priests.........
