Washing Machine stopped midstream and wouldn't drain or turn. So I went to Yelp and put in a repair quote for my appliance guy Pete who I've used several times with outstanding service. He immediately replied that he was closed because of Covid 19. But I also received an immediate response from Billy of Island Appliance who said Connie was in the office and to giver her a call to set up an Appt. So I did. Connie indeed was in the office at 9pm and said her technician was out on a call in Huntington. She contacted him and got back to me within 10 mins. He gave me the choice of coming by after he finished the Huntington job or tomorrow. In this crazy times of Covid 19 I was able to get immediate service. He or should I say they SHOWED UP AT 11:30pm?! YES that's exactly what I said!! 11:30pm! Appliance angels! He had the parts (Drain Pump & bearings) & fixed my washer promptly. Not sure but I think it was his son with him. He was teaching while fixing. Both were Very friendly. This truly meant the world to me because fortunately both me & my son are still working so we need to be able to wash our things in the short span of time that we are home. Maybe they are a great company and would do a great job fixing your appliance (or mine). But right now I was messed over and they are mostly to blame. Basically I have a warranty with Choice Home Warranty. On May 23rd 2016 I called CHW to file a claim for stove top 1 burner not working. It took CHW 3 days to find a vendor to take the claim. They found this company. The name I was given by CHW was FAST APPLIANCE SERVICE at 631-727-0294. The person calling me was calling from 631-588-0191. So.... I was given an appointment on May 31st (I complained it was a long time to wait for an appointment - but they said they are busy and the best they can do) between 2pm-8pm. I was told I don't have to wait at home because they would call before. All sounded acceptable. Big window but I understand that the nature of their work is that they could get involved in easy/hard repairs and jobs can go slower/faster, etc. I received a call at 1:55 pm today to tell me they are cancelling the appointment and not rescheduling. Apparently they have problems with the Warranty Company. Now... this is why I think they are at fault... they made the appointment with me. They have a contract or agreement with the warranty co. If they want to stop working with them that is ok but why choose to mess me over? They COULD HAVE kept the appointment. They would have received the $45 co-pay that I know we have to pay. Assuming they are having problems with the warranty co -- What would they have lost if they did that? Remember they made an appointment with me. Maybe they would have lost some $ but they should be concerned about their reputation.

We spoke about the scope of work. He told me his price. I mentioned to him that while this isn't an emergency repair call I did happen to have off work the very next day and asked if he could accommodate. He said sure no problem but I would have to be second stop and estimated arrival time ge stated was between 11am-12pm. I said great, thank you so much and appointment was booked. Day of service he got here ten minutes early at 10:50am. He assesses situation but said he didn't have the right size clamp to finish right now. I asked him to let me check if I happened to have it but of course of all the random parts and hardware I have collected over the years I didnt have it. He said he would then have to go to his 3rd stop, head back to shop to get clamp and then back to me stating he would be back around 2pm. Since I happened to read these negative yelp reviews after I booked him and before he arrived, I asked him outright to be honest and tell me before he left if he truly was going to be able make it back and he gave me his word. Which was acceptable to me because there are always two sides to every story / negative customer reviews and the second side of those is always unknown because the negative customer never let's anyone know their part in all of it!! Yet again, Marcin was on his way earlier than initially anticipated and came back to my house around 1:30pm to finish the work. He nailed the repair in 20 minutes and was out my door right around 2pm. I even asked him to assess our washer and dryer and he told me straight up that for us to pay him to repair then wouldn't be cost effective to us like a true honest professional should treat his customers! So 5 stars to Marcin Appliances and Electronics plus future references from myself to anyone I happen to talk to in the future who would be looking for a honest appliance repairman!

Seth came out, took his time to actually look at the problem, and figured out it just needed a good cleaning. That was it. He did not try to sell me anything I did not need, did not push unnecessary parts, and was completely upfront with me the whole time. What really stood out was how honest Seth was. He could have easily told me I needed new parts and I would not have known the difference, but instead he fixed it the right way and saved me a good amount of money. On top of that he was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience easy. My stove is working perfectly now and I could not be happier.
