I contacted Nadir and scheduled an appointment. After describing my problem, Nadir returned my messages quickly and we discussed when would be an opportune time for both of us. Thankfully, we were able to schedule something within a few days. Nadir said he would arrive sometime in a one-hour window, and it's been my experience that people usually come towards the end of that window. Nadir, however, actually came fifteen minutes early. He listened to my description of the problem (popping noise, burning smell, dryer wouldn't turn on), and used that information to predict what the problem was. He then confirmed his suspicions and showed me what the problem was. Nadir quoted me a price, which included the $75 diagnosis fee. He did not have the parts immediately, which was understandable because I have an older dryer, but told me he would come back later that afternoon. I went out to run some errands and he again returned early. Unfortunately, I was not home yet but he did not mind waiting. Once I returned, Nadir fixed the dryer as promised. He also took care of some maintenance issues related to the dryer (i.e. fixing lint dryer vent) at no additional charge. What really makes Nadir stand out, however, is his customer service. After a few days of the repair, my dryer started making a squeaking noise. I didn't want to risk my dryer going out again, so I asked Nadir if the squeaking was related to his repair. He said he didn't think it was, but he came by anyway to check. He was right -- it was a wheel bearing that was making the noise. It was not related to his initial repair, but he went ahead and addressed it as part of his warranty program. Great business. Would definitely call him again for appliance repairs.

Washing Machine stopped midstream and wouldn't drain or turn. So I went to Yelp and put in a repair quote for my appliance guy Pete who I've used several times with outstanding service. He immediately replied that he was closed because of Covid 19. But I also received an immediate response from Billy of Island Appliance who said Connie was in the office and to giver her a call to set up an Appt. So I did. Connie indeed was in the office at 9pm and said her technician was out on a call in Huntington. She contacted him and got back to me within 10 mins. He gave me the choice of coming by after he finished the Huntington job or tomorrow. In this crazy times of Covid 19 I was able to get immediate service. He or should I say they SHOWED UP AT 11:30pm?! YES that's exactly what I said!! 11:30pm! Appliance angels! He had the parts (Drain Pump & bearings) & fixed my washer promptly. Not sure but I think it was his son with him. He was teaching while fixing. Both were Very friendly. This truly meant the world to me because fortunately both me & my son are still working so we need to be able to wash our things in the short span of time that we are home. And his bill also neglected to say how long the part was warranted for. Nor did he get the customer signature acknowledging completion of work performed like all other business get!
