I remember my first visit here was when I was 7 with Dr. Nishimoto and literally 30 years later, I still see him! We have never ever had an issue with this practice. I have recommended this practice to SO many people over the years and I've never had one person come back and tell me they weren't happy. Dr. John is amazing. He is very kind, patient and just so helpful! He's not out here to rip you off like other optical places, he is all about trying to help you save! He carries a variety of brands of eyewear but if nothing suits you, no problem, he will happily write you a script! The best part about getting eye exams here is they have this optical camera thing that takes a picture of the back of your eye without having the need to be dilated. As someone who absolutely dreads dilations, this was such a relief. If there's absolutely anything you need to know before going I would say it's the parking. There are times where it's been full but someone is literally leaving as soon as you pull in. I have never had to park on the street or wait longer than 2 mins to park. I've also noticed now there can sometimes be a wait in the lobby to get help but honestly it's not even a problem because I have seen Dr. John will step in and help asap if needed. Believe me, they are worthy of their 5 stars on here.

He goes over important eyecare education that I had never received at any other offices even though I had been wearing glasses/contacts for over 20 years. The first person who answered didn't seem to understand my question and hung up on me. I later received a call back and asked the same question. The staff member told me they "do eyeglasses." When I clarified whether they provided optometry rather than ophthalmology, she eventually said yes. What concerns me most is that the front-office staff should understand the difference between these services and be able to clearly explain what type of care the office provides. These are patients' eyes and their vision, we should be able to trust that the people answering the phones understand the services they are scheduling.
