He goes over important eyecare education that I had never received at any other offices even though I had been wearing glasses/contacts for over 20 years. The first person who answered didn't seem to understand my question and hung up on me. I later received a call back and asked the same question. The staff member told me they "do eyeglasses." When I clarified whether they provided optometry rather than ophthalmology, she eventually said yes. What concerns me most is that the front-office staff should understand the difference between these services and be able to clearly explain what type of care the office provides. These are patients' eyes and their vision, we should be able to trust that the people answering the phones understand the services they are scheduling.
