I got my eye exam here and got two pairs of glasses. The whole experience was great, despite COVID regulations. While taking my eye exam, I felt like the mask was fogging up my glasses a bit. I thought that would interfere with my results, and it didn't at all! When I had gone to eyeglass world, they had made my glasses same day, so I was surprised to find out that I would have to wait for mine to come in, and a couple of weeks too. It made me nervous, thinking I would spend so much and not like my prescription, but TRUST THEM! I ended up picking my glasses up earlier than what they said, and I can actually see now! When I went to eyeglass world, the prescription they prescribed, didn't even work, I thought there was something wrong with me!! Good to know it was just crappy service! ADDENDUM*** I chose to use Stanton because financially it seemed like a great deal. The first time I went to Stanton I had an appointment for an eye exam. I was there for 1 1/2 hours and still had not received my glasses. I told the front desk I had another appointment to get to so I would have to come back. I went back 2 weeks later to pick up my glasses. Not only were my glasses not ready, but my whole chart was missing. I spent another 1 1/2 hours to re do my eye exam and wait for my glasses. I opted for the 2 for 1 special and also purchased sunglasses. 2 weeks after getting my sunglasses, the tent started bubbling so I brought them back in to be repaired. 3 weeks went by without hearing anything. I called the store to see if my sunglasses were ready. I was on hold for 20 minutes, then told my glasses could not be located. I was put back on hold so he could look around and the phone disconnected. I called right back, was on hold for another 30 minutes and gave up. I did receive a call a little later in the day that my glasses were located and ready to be picked up. I went to pick up my sunglasses the next morning and had to wait 20 minutes for them to find them again. The whole experience was a disaster and next time, I will opt to pay regular price elsewhere. I gave 2 stars instead of 0 because the staff was always friendly. I do have to give them credit for that. *** I just got home after picking up my glasses and had to return them back to Stanton once again. The lenses were loose and the manager had the nerve to tell me "they should be fine as long as the lenses dont pop out". I said, " it would be better if the lenses didn't move at all". Beware of Stanton Optical. 2 pairs for $59 is nothing more than a bait and switch ploy. After selecting the least expensive frames which are included in the offer; I was led to a room for an internet eye exam by persons unknown in a far off location. While waiting I asked to see the complete schedule of fees and price list. Sticker shock slapped me in the face when noticed that the basic lens coatings can add over $400 to each pair of glasses. A lens upgrade to polycarbonate or premium polycarbonate could jack the total price up to over $800 for each pair. The absurdity of such marketing tactics is beyond outrageous. As others have noted, cancellations and refunds are all but impossible. Clearly Stanton Opticals' sole apparent goal is to get a signed sales contract. 2-3 weeks is their normal delivery time for glasses despite any promises they make to the customer. read more

Untrained, and unfortunately misleading. Employees tried to make me pay full price for my prescription after I had my appointment. Prior to the appointment, I let the staff know I was using my insurance and they didn't miss a beat going through with the appointment. Afterwards they said I had to pay full price because my insurance company is closed on the weekends and the services done had to be paid for. I gave them my insurance information and paid my copay and left. Now I have to return again to get my prescription and make sure they do their part in calling while insurance is open to get the remaining balance. They should have explained prior to the appointment KNOWING I would have to pay full price and get reimbursed so I could decide if I wanted to continue or not read more

This is for the vista location. Went in and ordered my daughter glasses. Paid more than I had expected, but they were nice looking glasses that she really liked. They were only able to give me pair because the technician said the other pair was defective and couldn't put the lenses in. So I was told they would order her another pair and they would give me a call when they were ready. 30 days later still no phone call I had completely forgot about it until my daughter asked me where her other pair was so I went in and they still did not have them. The technician then asked me to pick out a pair but I told him I already did pick out the pair you have the order number right there that's what we want so he's like well it might take me a little while to find them and I told him that would be fine well he couldn't find it and so he tried to pawn me off another pair that was similar to it. my daughter took forever just to find the two pairs that she really liked and now he just wanted to give me something else without my daughter even here so I said no I already paid for the ones that she wanted those are the ones that she wanted so now he says that he will order them and it will take up to two weeks to get them. now we wait and we will see if I get that phone call and I will keep you updated. I will never get glasses here again I only came here because it was near my house and I thought they were going to have a really good deal considering glasses are so expensive. I will go back to SP optical over on Hacienda Drive never had a problem with them. Should have known better. Also, the store manager was in and heard the whole thing and didn't even apologize or try to reconcile anything with me. Bad business. Went in on January 4, 2019. More than a month from when I last went in where they told me my daughters glasses would be ready in two weeks and they'd call me. Again they never called and when I just happened to stop in they were still not ready her lenses were still in a box in the technicians area. At that point I told them I wanted a refund. After paying $290 for the buy 1 get 1 free glasses they tried to give me $16 as a refund. Saying that the glasses I didn't get were the free ones. I told them no I'm not accepting that. I've never been inside. Reason? Because the outside landscape is so incredible awful. It actually looks like the place isn't open. Weeds are a foot high and the shrubs and trees are way over grown. This is the place to go if you like BAD customer service! Andy is the worst. I should've listened to my instincts and left the night I was in there looking for glasses. I was browsing the frames and in the course of 30 minutes, two different customers were in there complaining about their orders. One was glasses, the other was for contacts. But because I've worked in retail for over 35 years, I know that sometimes the issues aren't what the customer perceives them to be. I decided to give Stanton a chance. I liked the location, right on my way home from work, in case I needed an adjustment or had any problems. So I ordered a pair of glasses. Andy never bothered to share any guarantee or warranty information with me. He told me that my glasses would be ready in 3-5 days and I would get a call. After 10 days, I decided to go in and find out what the hold up. First he couldn't find my name in the computer. He asked if I had gotten a phone call to say my glasses were ready. When I said I hadn't, he told me it takes 14 days for glasses to be ready. After telling him that he had told me 3-5 days, he and another employee went through all the glasses awaiting pick up and found them. The temples on the glasses were loose and I was told that's just the way that frame is because of the spring hinges. Really?! Gosh, then my other pair with spring hinges that aren't loose must be defective! He offered to order another frame (that would take 3 weeks to get) and then swap out the lenses. Why would I want you to order another frame if you're saying it's going to be the same? At this point I lost my temper, made some remarks about the first night I was in with customers complaining and how I should've heeded their warning. I grabbed my glasses and walked out. A few steps out the door, I decided to go back and grab the manager's business card. When I walked in, Andy had gone back to where the other employee that had been helping him was and was laughing. Don't get glasses here! My wife got the free exam with purchase of glasses, the prescription was way off and she could barely see with her new glasses. She went back to return her glasses and get a full refund and they gave her a hard time and suggested that they'll only refund for the glasses but she'll be charged $95 for the FREE exam that was completely flawed and inaccurate. Finally after arguing for quite some time they agreed to refund everything and saying that they're making an exception this time. Seriously! they tried to fraudulently charge her $95. I am disturbed by how unprofessional and unorganized this business is. We have attempted to get our paid order, two pairs of glasses, multiple times now. Not once have we received a call. We have called and have even gone into the store multiple times now. The amount of excuses these people have given us is laughable. First, they tried to overcharge us. Then, they lost one of the pairs. Then, when they are both finally in the lenses were completely off. We had advised the sales rep that it was a sensitive prescription and were told it would be fine. Well, its not. They have not attempted to make anything better. They have not called back. And guess what, we still don't have the glasses. I scheduled an eye exam 6 weeks ago with the doctor whom is only available o Tuesday's. Upon arrival it was evident that they didn't have a clue what was going on. The doctor wanted to go on a coffee break. I was told to wait and fill out patient information which I did. Once I was done I was told the doctor was on break and that they had to cancel my appointment because another patient that needed contacts which was scheduled after me would require more time and that the doctor didn't have time for me because he was leaving at 1:30pm. What the hell. How is that my problem? I was offered a "virtual exam" instead. Reluctantly I accepted. That was a joke. The doctor on the screen was done with me and he couldn't get anyone in the office to come in and wrap up the exam. He apologized and said hang tight I will need to call the main number and try to get someone to assist you. So I waited in a room for over 5 minutes waiting for the doctor to try and get an employee into the exam room. How unprofessional. Then finally the tech said Yo Man hows it going Doc? What's up man? Are you for real? Ok now comes the part about my glasses. I pick out the frames and go through the process. All that is fine and I am told that my glasses will be done in a few days to one week. Perfect. I got one pair of glasses and the others are "MIA". My first pair is off and I can't see. The second pair is still missing. Can't be found. It's been 6 weeks and still no idea where my glasses are? 6 weeks and because they can't find them it appears they will need to reorder. They are going to call DC to find out where my glasses are. So I still don't know where my second pair of glasses are? Unbelievable!!! Unprofessional! If I could give a negative 5 Stars I would! No apologies, No Discount and no explanation for why I still don't have my order! I already informed them that they will need to redo/remake my first pair because I can't see out of them and that I would like to take care of this when my second pair is found! read more

Definitely pay attention to the negative reviews at this place! My glasses are crooked when I pick them up, and they tried to fix them by heating them up, once they were cooled off at home they just went back to the crooked shape they were in when I picked them up. I made an appointment to get them fixed and I was inconvenienced two days in a row with appointments that did nothing because the only person Who is capable of fixing them was gone during those appointment times. They don't have the ability to write on the appointment to keep the person they need to perform what needs to be performed. When I was visibly frustrated after the second day of being inconvenienced, I was told to be quiet or would have to leave the facility. Jenny has the worst customer service skills I've ever come across! All she did was escalate the situation instead of try to defuse it. She literally kept shaking her head at me! I mean come on, talk about agitating someone! All she had to say was I'm sorry we made a mistake in letting that person go but no, she Would not even own up to them making a mistake whatsoever. Not acknowledging any of my complaints and I was made the villain because I was upset. She kept threatening to make me leave the store because I was outspoken about being displeased with how I was treated. Threatened to hold my prescription ransom unless I would "stop talking bad about their business" I have a right to be upset when I have a child at home that I'm paying for a sitter to be able to come to an appointment only to have them not be available, two days in a row! Even said that directly to her, and she wouldn't even acknowledge that! Honor your appointments and there never would have been an issue! Or at least own up to making a mistake! I was willing to work with them on repairing or remaking them, but after how Jenny treated me, I wanted NOTHING to do with them again. I ended up just getting a refund. I was helped by Angela regarding the actual frames, lenses, and entire explanation of which lenses would work best for which frames. She earned a 5/5 regarding the review. She helped determine in a friendly, knowledgeable manner which would suit my needs and helped explain in detail any price variables or additional packages we could purchase. We did the 59 dollar deal for two pairs with prescription, which seemed fair. Depending on your prescription you could get glasses in 1-2 hours or so. The only thing I was not prepared for was the fact they did not notify us there was not an in office person doing the examination. It was a person across state (Florida I believe) doing the examination over a real time chat/a facetime like experience. I wasn't clear on whether there were automatic responses at first, which made the examination feel a bit uncomfortable. The selection for the 59 dollar deal as expected was very limited. For some current backup pairs for movies or accidents they will work fine. For day to day comfort you'd need to spend more and find something in the larger price ranges. All and all it was good. My only concern is there is only one day a week where a person comes in to do exams or answer direct questions on specific problems. I would definitely find that a lot easier/preferable to come in for. read more

They were having technical difficulties throughout the day of my visit, but stayed calm and provided excellent customer service will being busy and having issues with there systems. Horrible!!! Don't come to this place! Don't waste your money here! First they don't have an eye doctor on site, they have someone on a TV doing your eye exam. If you need contacts good luck, they will not have the trial pair and won't order them. They will not write a prescription for the contact Brand you want and will only write one for a brand they are pushing. I waited 15 business days before I went back after I was told I would receive the trial pair in 10. They didn't do the order and when I asked to get a refund they would not do it. I can see why they have shitty reviews. Waste of time! They take too long for a simple eye exam. read more

I wanted to get some contacts but i've never worn contacts before. Making the online appointment was easy and when I walked in I was greeted and immediately was helped out. Angela was the one who helped me and she did a fantastic job of running me through all of the tests and fittings to make sure that I was doing everything correctly and I knew which machine did what. When we talked about prices Angela helped me get choose the best deal specifically for me. When I found out that they didn't take my insurance Angela was very understanding and helped me out by canceling the appointment, which I very much appreciated. Was optimistic in trying out Stanton because they are all about value & service to come to find out they can not honor my 5:45 appointment I made online earlier this week. I was greeted by an ASM with a marijuana brand hoodie and the Manager Jenny Chestnut's first words to me was that's corporates fault. "They don't know what the hell they are doing" I took time off work to get here 15 minutes before my appointment. I get that there's disconnect sometimes but at least help me not throw me out the store because they close at 6pm. I even called prior to going to the store. I guess back to LensCrafters I go. My girlfriend , her mother and i came here for their eye exam & eyewear. making the appointment went great but the customer service in store wasn't friendly. My girlfriend asked for her order to get shipped to us, since we stayed out of state (which we were charge for). Her glasses were never shipped to us. We actually had to ask a family member to go in store and pick them up just to learn that they went from "lost" to "under someone's else name".
