My girlfriend , her mother and i came here for their eye exam & eyewear. making the appointment went great but the customer service in store wasn't friendly. My girlfriend asked for her order to get shipped to us, since we stayed out of state (which we were charge for). Her glasses were never shipped to us. We actually had to ask a family member to go in store and pick them up just to learn that they went from "lost" to "under someone's else name". Both my girlfriend and her mother spent way too much money to not get what was asked and paid for. read more

Angela did a great job with me. She was thorough with my contacts fitting, went above and beyond in every way possible, and was courteous, friendly and professional. She handled the shop alone with multiple customers coming in and she didn't miss a beat once. Thanks Angela! read more

I made an appointment for my 96 year-old father-in-law who accidentally threw away his glasses. He needed new ones ASAP. After Stanton optical assured me an optometrist could see him the next day I was grateful. After loading him in his wheelchair and driving across town, getting him out of the car, into the wheelchair again we went into the store only to find he could not be seen. The employee notified us the person who made the appointment at "central scheduling " was unaware there was no optometrist in the office this week. Not cool! We will never use this business again. read more

I went in for an eye exam and needed glasses. The glasses I had picked out was a buy one get one free but it was still a little expensive for the glasses themselves (eye exam is free with the purchase of glasses) Mac was the employee helping me out and I explained to him I'm a single mom with 2 kids and he was able to give me and awesome discount. I am super happy. I got a great deal and definately recommend them to everyone. read more

Jenny provided great service processing the glasses. Wasn't crazy about the video portion of the exam, because it is hard to understand the doctor on the video. read more

I just got my new pair of glasses from Stanton optical and I love them. It was my first time going to Stanton Optical, and they were very convenient, quick, and friendly. Most importantly they were affordable! The exam was super quick and easy, and it was really cool the way the did it. All in all I would definitely recommend Stanton Optical at the E. Vista Way location for those who need a new pair of glasses, contacts, or would like an eye exam. Thank you very much Stanton Optical for finding me my new pair of glasses, I'm very happy and satisfied with them and plan on doing business with Stanton Optical again in the future. read more

I managed to snap my glasses right in the middle! I walked in and he looked up my account information to see what I had to work with as I only needed to replace my broken glasses and didn't need two pairs (the current promotion). I had a warranty on my lenses and a discount on the frames! And was able to get them done in house!! Black duct tape is holding my glasses together and now I'm looking forward to my new pair of glasses!! Thank you so much!! read more

Coming from a former employee let me just say STAY AWAY!!! from here or any other Stanton optical stores. Management is unprofessional, the way this store is being run is ridiculous it's a total joke. While working here I was discriminated for being Hispanic they refused To promote me "because I hadn't been with the company long enough" yet another female Who started the same Day as Me was promoted up to two times, but yet I Haven't been with the company long enough right ?! the second I brought this up they felt the pressure and hired a hispanic guy for the same position I was going for. You're lucky if you got to take your lunch if not then of course you get written up even though you were clearly told to help out the customers on the sales floor because they're "understaffed" (Gee I wonder why everyone kept quitting(sarcasm ) while manager is in the back office doing "conference calls" for almost the entire day, but really are on their phone. Refund ? Don't bother they're always going to try and find a way to avoid doing a refund even if it means giving you an additional free pair of glasses. Even if you try to go to the higher up of the store. It's all part of the commission plan. Everybody buys everybody leaves happy that's their Motto that's because they will do whatever it takes to get you to buy a pair. When they say they accept your insurance that's also no true they don't even bill the insurance they have their "own pricing" depending on the insurance you have but they will tell you that they do accept it in order to get you to get the glasses. After all some money is better than making no money. Chances are everyone working the sales floor has NO TYPE OPTICAL EXPERIENCE. After I quit it took them a little over a month for Me To get my last two paychecks. That was my experience with Stanton, Save your money save your time and the delay of waiting 3 months for your glasses. read more

I would give ZERO 0 if I could, this is the worst company on earth, they have not delivered my glasses for 90 days now, they keep giving me run around for 45 days, they gave me tracking information that was wrong, or they mailed my glasses to someone else in Lido California,my frames were $600 dollars they charged me $200 for the lenses, no one knows what is going on, you will be sent to from one person than to other. they have no ideas what they are doing, they are ridiculous, take your business to somewhere else and get a better service read more

First time here! Haven't wore glasses in a great while... Ubaldo helped me out! Got me the best price he could! I really appreciate his helped I definitely recommend him if u happen to come in! read more

Walked in to Stanton Optical yesterday to pick up my husbands glasses and was able to get an appointment for myself on the spot. Had an eye exam, picked out my frames and had one pair in my hand when I walked out the door with my husband an hour or so later. The entire team was just awesome, super helpful, informative and patient while I picked out my frames. They have a fantastic selection of frames to choose from, too. Pricing was spot on after my health insurance and their creative discounts were applied. Getting glasses here was several hundred dollars less than the glasses I purchased from Wal-Mart Vision two years ago. Highly recommend this Stanton Optical office. read more

Do not waste your time or $ here. Obviously under staffed, under trained and no phone service. I was on hold for 20 & no one picked up. My pH # wasn't entered into their data base so I have no idea if my glasses are ready. Pretty sure no one will call me due to their lack of customer service & lack of staff. It's also advertising a great price for a few glasses & free eye exams. $45.00 is not free! Peter is the mgr? Call me Peter, you said you would!!! Since I have no way of reaching anyone. read more

Worst customer service ever! Walked in never acknowledged waited for over 30-45 mins for someone to walk up to us. Someone else walked in and they got helped before we did. Don't recommend this place read more

Everyone was helpful and nice and they were flexible on my purchase. Nice choice of lenses

Maybe one star is harsh, since I never made it there, but my telephone call was bizarre. Called to see if they did simple repair-lost the nose pad on my frames. Was asked if I needed to schedule an exam. No... do you do repair? Did you get them here? No... just want to know if you do repair. How old is your prescription? Uh...tell me whether or not you can do my repair. Not sure, but I don't think so. Lord. read more

We ordered two pairs of glasses in February and when they arrived the beginning of March both were wrong. They re-ordered the glasses and then shut down. We have been trying to get a hold of customer service to get a refund for our $569 and customer service consistently disconnects the phone. I will not use their services anymore and I recommend you don't either read more

So as you can see from my last post a month and some ago I barely received my glasses. Well the first pair that is I got the second 2 weeks after the first pair. Which I was told I'll get my glasses in 2 weeks which was a lie. I was informed to call the number for assistance to track my glasses btw not a live person all auto which is annoying because it just hangs up on you. When I called the store the gal was clueless of where my glasses would be. Literally made me wait on hold for 30 min then hung up on me and didn't even bother to call back. So I called back and the same girl I was on the phone with told me I'd have to wait until the following Monday. 5 minutes after the call she called me back and told me both pairs where ready for pickup. I went in and picked up my first pair which btw the customer service has totally changed. Waiting 45 min with only 2 other people in bldg just to get my glasses. When the gal gave me my glasses only one pair was available and then she said the second gets done after the first . I left and got a call 2 weeks later that my pair was ready and it's in toddler size. The lady there said it's ok your head will stretch them eventually. I asked for a completed refund of everything as well a some decent customer service. The lady informed me that there office doesn't handle the money cooperate does and I'd have to call the automated system at the main number. SMH. Worst place ever ! Glasses are consistently getting dirty and feel so plastic they would snap if I'd try and fit into a toddler pair. Paid over 300$ for a pair that I'd pair 10 $ for SMH. Thanks for the scam now where's my money. read more

WARNING!! Scam Likely. The current management just started this Monday, 7/26, and their previous practices were made to scam people. Took my mother to get her glasses at the Vista location. I told her to be careful not to go beyond the single vision for both reading and distance. They talked her into bifocals with transitions or at least that's what was shown on the paperwork. When we discovered that there was no transition tint, I went back to point out that it was left off. The current manager helped me and said their was a third pair because it was a different order. Then he discovered a receipt from another person was provided along with her paperwork. I asked her to return the glasses, but she said their all thieves and just look to go beyond their advertised specials. I truly believe the person who helped my Mom intentionally printed that receipt indicating transition glasses and stapled it to the back of the paperwork. The manager said he couldn't do anything except bring in the glasses and pay for transitions. The new management can't be held responsible for the previous bad practices, but as a business they should recognize when wrong has been done to a customer. read more

In retrospect, the price quoted over the phone was an obvious bait and switch just to get me in the door. Called another representative after my eye exam (and being told it would cost hundreds) and was told a different but still much lower price. Not surprised to see horrible reviews; be skeptical of the odd glowing review for these scam artists. read more

So I came here yesterday to get Contacts. I walked in asked for a rough estimate as to how much id be spending for an eye exam and a box of contacts. I was greeted by a new employee, who did not know the answer, he had to get help. No problem so far, everyone starts as a new employee at some point or another. I told every person I came in contact with there I was looking for new contacts, and that I was not interested in buying glasses. I was asked if I wanted to buy glasses probably around 10-15 times. I wrote on the paperwork that I was there for contacts. I don't know how much more clear I could've been. During the eye exam, 2 people got trained on how to take pictures of my eyes. I assume this is a rather new establishment as It seemed everyone there with the exception of one lady was running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Everyone was nice, just seemed everyone was trying to figure out what they needed to do to get things done. But in the end I was able to get a pair of contacts, paid less than I was quoted at the beginning. So all in all I'm a happy customer. Mac helped me out! read more

Lured b their prices, I had Stanton Optical in Vista prepare two sets of glasses. The manager told me they would be ready the next day. When I called, he said there was a delay--for abut a week. I finally got one pair two weeks later. The frustrating thing was that when I stopped by or called, they could never find my data. Finally, they told me my name was reversed--last name first, etc. It showed me how messed up their data system is. Re the second pair of glasses, i had to wait about a month because the lenses were not done correctly the first time. Again, they had to search frantically for my contact info. I'll never deal with them again--too much hassle. -- Mark Day read more

I got my eye exam at my own optometrist office but the glasses there were very expensive. I was driving past and saw the Stanton Optical building on East Vista Way and decided to check it out. I was helped by employee Andy Garcia he was extremely professional and courteous and I got two pair of glasses for less than I would have paid for one at my optometrist office. Thanks to Andy my glasses were ready within the hour. I would definitely recommend read more

I decided to try this place because of all the commercials and the fact that they offered you your glasses in an hour. Big mistake. Their website says they take my eye insurance, but that turned out to be a big hassle. I had to literally get on the phone with the insurance company, myself, if the reception area and get my own information because they would not release it to them. Once I figured out that they were actually out of network, I was just going to go back to Walmart, where I have gone for years and been perfectly happy. Someone claiming to be the manager rushed over and sold me this awesome deal just to keep me there. The deal was great and was about what I would pay with insurance except that I was actually going to be getting 2 pairs of glasses. She tells me that all of my glasses will be ready within the next few hours so I leave and send my daughter to pick them up later. She is told they have all been sent to the lab and it will be 2 weeks. They also offered to get me a replacement pair of lenses for the sunglasses I already had. I go in the next day and magically, one set of my glasses are ready but the other will be a week. Well, now, we are on week 3 and I don't have the second set of glasses or the replacement lenses. I have gotten several calls from several different people asking me questions about my glasses they should have known the answers to. The "manager" who sold me all of this has since been let go. And I still don't have my second set of glasses. I was going to send the whole family there. But that won't happen. I just want what I paid for so I can be done with them. read more

I brought my 2 children in and went through the whole process Xs 2. The staff was nice and concerned with my satisfaction. Every deal has fine print but Hunter and Peter made sure to stay in my budget, thanks guys! The best part is that I got glasses for both my children in the same day. read more

I bought glasses at the Escondido store but wasn't happy with the frames that I bought, so I decided to check out the selection at vista in hopes to exchange them. They had more to chose from, when I found the pair that I did like i ask the "training manger" if she would exchange the one I bought from Escondido, she wasn't sure what to do so she asked some other manger. The manger then told me that their "policy" states that they can not return my glasses at the store and that I had to go back to Escondido get the refund and then go back to vista to get my frames. I ask to explain the "policy" but his response was just "that's the policy". I didn't want to argue with the policy and went to the Escondido. Rushing through rush hour trying to get there before they closed. When i arrived at the Escondido they stated that I should of be able to return my glasses there. After hearing that I felt discriminated, pushed aside and unwanted. read more
