I had my first appointment today in Turlock today and I was really impressed with the customer service. The tech was very professional and kind when he did his examination. I then switched over to Hailey and we started to look at frames. She was very patient and supportive and helped my find the right frames. She also walked me through my options for my lenses. Total waste of my time. They said they take my wife and my insurance only to find out after our 35 mile drive there that they "work" with our insurance. So we would get a discount rather then our insurance paying in full like at other offices. As if gas is free here in California. Don't believe the 2 for DEALS They aren't real. They have VERY LIMITED like less than 10 to choose from and they charge you for everything it's not a deal! They ended up quoting me like $400! I could barely understand the doctor and it's virtual so that's discouraging. He was offended that I kept asking him to repeat himself because I couldn't understand him. The doctor performing the eye exam provided service from a television screen. The social noise of her background was so loud,I could barely hear her and had to stop a few times and repeat. When I received my glasses, they needed to be adjusted, when the assistant became annoyed that I needed them adjusted a little more, she went extra, and they've been painful for a year. I wouldn't dare ask for help again. She made sure of that. My husband's glasses were useless. He asked for help, as the prescription was wrong, they re did an eye exam with an assistant. His glasses were not changed and they have never been used. The only thing easy was them taking over $700 in addition to insurance. Take heed. I regret so much in coming here. read more

WORST PLACE TO GO !!! I went in with an appointment.. there's NO PROFESSIONAL PERSON THERE .... Took the vision test , the screen was smudged ... I kept telling him & he eventually wiped it , after saying ,YOU CANT SEE THAT ,???? Wow , I was so embarrassed... THEN ... Was told I had to go to Modesto because he was told by the doctor in Modesto that my test showed that my eyes were damaged... First time making an appointment for 5:45pm , 5 min within their "15 min grace period" and confirming over the phone if it was ok at 5:20 pm to be a few min late and proceeded to go , once I arrived after getting off work and picking up my son in the rain, MAYRA the sales manager didn't even greet us treated us as if we were picking up something, after telling her we had an appt said we were late and appt is cancelled due to staff issues. This whole experience felt like a scam. No one explained the process to the patient, who'd never been for an eye exam before. The optometrist was examining her via Zoom, but no one mentioned that ahead of time. Suddenly a disembodied voice come out of the wall. The exam was poor, and she left it feeling like she hadn't been properly examined for the best vision correction. They offer specials on frames, but the lenses are outrageously-priced. We got home and looked over the prescription and order pages and discovered that they'd charged us well over $300 for glasses that had *no vision correction*! The prescription sphere was 0.00! Recently my daughter recommended Stanton optical. I booked a eye exam and a prescription for 2 pair of glasses. I was impressed beyond expectations. I was immediately greeted upon entering. Promptly checked and and started the process. The receptionist and staff Delivered World Class Customer Service. Very friendly and helpful with all questions and concerns. I was excited and happy that I chose Stanton optical in Turlock. I will recommend to friends family and Colleagues. The only drawback was having to wait two weeks to receive my 2 pair of glasses. Took me in 15 minutes early. Answered all my questions I had. The eye exam was through a video with a doctor on a screen instead of a person in the room with you but it was pretty cool, I didn't mind because I have social anxiety anyways. I got 2 pairs of glasses and got a discount through my insurance that saved me $600+ dollars. I got one of the pairs within 20 minutes the same day and I'll be waiting on the other pair for a week or two before because it will have reflective protection and a few other things added to the lenses that will take more time. read more

They lie over the phone telling you they have great deals and so many deals. Also that they expect medical. That they have great offers for medical. It's all lies just to get people in their office. Supposedly they have a deal of two pair of glasses for $79 plus free eye exam. There's a catch though it's only for blue tags and those are glasses the size for kids only. If you choose to get any other glasses, you have to pay for the eye exam separately. This company is like a scam. The eye exam isn't professional. A lot of people have complained just don't know how to do it on here. Take your business elsewhere don't fall for these scammers. They are no help. She, well u come in and we will run what u like and set it up and then we will ck ins. I said is there any way u can know if u take my insurance? 100% sure they gave me the wrong prescription. Called customer service about this as well. Went to Target to get my glasses adjusted bc whenever I went here I felt hey made it tighter instead of loser. Had so many other doctor's offices tell me "we've heard stories about that place." This was my 1st time here bc of the reviews being so high but now I know to never trust a place with all good reviews. See some 1 stars are recent. Would not recommend. I had an appointment with them last week and now that I've had time to think about it. Here are my issues. The initial exam was great as a technician took pictures of my eyes as well as did the pressure test etc. then they take you back into a room where you sit and the machine comes over your face to do a standard eye test. What really bothered me is that there wasn't even a real person there it was just over a computer screen! The person conducting the test was exceptionally hard to understand, and seemed like you were talking to someone from overseas that sort of vibe. When you go back-and-forth between each lens, it was so fast I could hardly figure out which one was better than the other. I don't believe my test is this thorough and accurate as it could be. When it comes to selecting your frames, the advertise $79 deal is only available for about three or four frames which I expected. The other frames were buy one get one free which didn't seem like that bad of a deal. I chose a style that was around $200 thinking the other pair would be free and that would be it plus my exam. Turns out it's the frame PLUS $270 for the lenses, making my total almost $600. I understand this is probably a sales tactic, but it really should have been explained that it's buy one get one free plus the cost of lenses before I spent over an hour choosing the right frames for my face that I wouldn't be able to afford. I opted to walk out without purchasing anything except my exam which I will now be doing somewhere else because I thought it's not accurate. A waste of money and a lot of time. Do not recommend this business. Go somewhere where they are actually performing the test in the room with you. read more

I was completely happy with the initial service but once I got my glasses I told them something was wrong with the right lens because everything is blurry and they're making me sick. I'm not new to glasses I know it takes time to adjust but this was excessive. We'll time went by and I completely forgot about them and am now told it's been over 30 days so we can't help you. I said I understand loosing out on frames but if I had a wrong prescription how's that my fault? She said you're welcome to come for another exam but it's out of pocket. No ma'am I shouldn't have to pay again when the job wasn't done correctly the first time. Needed eyeglasses fast! I went to Stanton. Eye exam was via teleconference! Very unprofessional in my opinion. Found glasses. Very few at $79 as advertised. I did not find any I could live with. My glasses near $200. When I went home I found they charged me for insurance they did not discuss. This was dishonest in my opinion. Glasses took a few days. They texted and said ready. I needed an adjustment on my glasses that I didn't purchase from Stanton. They were very helpful and made me an appointment for the following day. Arrived early, graciously greeted by Yecenia and her coworker. After letting me know that they couldn't be responsible for my frame because I didn't purchase it from them, they listened to my concerns. Bottom line, adjusted my glasses perfectly and with no issues. Greatly appreciate Yecenia and staff, and highly recommend! Much thanks!
