Briante and Kasey helped me get contacts, new glasses, and informed me of some options I had never been told about by other optometrists. I received EXCELLENT service and an amazing deal. I would recommend this location and was very impressed with staff knowledge. Way to go gents! Made a customer for life. P.s worth mentioning it was 30 mins prior to closing on a Friday and these two still bucked up and made it a great experience. read more

I'm very disappointed with our experience. My husband and I ordered glasses, and there were mistakes with both of our orders. The communication was awful, which made an already frustrating situation even worse. We expected our glasses to be ordered correctly and to receive clear communication about any issues. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. This business needs to improve its attention to detail and communication with customers. read more

They use terms like free or bogo but you end up spending more to get what would be free anywhere else. I was told $1600 but they were able to get it to get to $800. Used car salesmen would be blush at thier tactics. Cheap frames and when you finally get your glasses 2 weeks later they the wrong prescription and you have to wait 2 more weeks. The person I talked to when I picked up was helpful with fixing the problem but offered no upgrade expedited service. He also knew the person doing the sale was incompetent and the knowing "yeah she can't do math" when I described the person was an obvious tell. I talk myself into going there every few years but their frames last 4months at best. Save yourself the headache, money and time & get a prescription and buy online. The eye exam is worth it but not if they are going to hard sell you out the door. read more

Double thumbs up with customer service with the staff at the Stanton Optical in Roseville, CA. Stanton Optical - STANTON OPTICAL - Optometrists Near Me - Roseville, California

I was very dismayed to discover that my granddaughters did not have an exam given by a licensed Optometrist. The Optometrist is only on site on Mondays. Every other day the exam is given by a "refractionist". What ever that means. My younger granddaughter could not even get glasses because the "Doctor" was unsure, I was told. Well, she wasn't a doctor, which may be why she was "unsure". I believed she was. But, it was a Wednesday. Their frames are very expensive and their exams are given by "refractionists"? Save your money, your time and your gas. Go to Walmart, who has an Optometrist, in the store, in an office next to the Optical dept. Or Costco if you are a member. read more

I have never experienced such poor communication and disorganization from an optical store. In February, I went to Stanton Optical to use my warranty to replace both my frames and lenses. The employee helping me told me she needed approval before submitting the warranty claim and that I would have to pay a percentage of the original cost of my glasses. She said she would call me as soon as the approval came through so I could come in and pay. A week went by with no call. I stopped by the store, and she said she was still waiting for approval and would contact me as soon as she heard back. Another week passed with no communication. I finally called the number listed for the store, only to reach a call center. The representative told me something completely different. He said I didn't owe anything, my warranty claim had already been processed, and my glasses had already been ordered. At that point I had no idea who to believe because the store and the call center were giving me completely different information. I didn't hear anything until May, when I received a notification that my glasses were ready. When I arrived to pick them up, the store couldn't even find them. After searching, they realized they had only received replacement lenses instead of both the frames and lenses that I had requested. They then tried to fit the new lenses into my existing frames, couldn't get them to fit, and had to reshape the lenses. When they handed me my glasses, I immediately realized the prescription was completely wrong. I pointed it out, and the employee apologized several times, put my old lenses back into my frames, and assured me that someone would call me the very next day to resolve the issue. That call never came. I was traveling for a while, so I wasn't able to go back immediately. When I finally returned last weekend, I spoke directly with the sales manager. She apologized, promised she would make sure I was contacted, and assured me someone would reach out. Once again, I never received a call. It's now been months since I originally went in for a simple warranty claim, and I still don't have the replacement glasses I was supposed to receive. Every step of this process has involved misinformation, broken promises, and a complete lack of follow-through. I've been told multiple times that someone would call me, and every single time I've been ignored. A warranty is supposed to give customers peace of mind. Instead, this experience has been months of frustration, wasted trips to the store, conflicting information, and zero accountability. If you value your time and expect basic communication, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Five phone calls (their call center screens all calls regardless of the number you call) to simply track a pair of replacement frames. And after 40 minutes they cannot tell me if they can replace my frames. My mistake to counting on them to support me. Back to Costco. Get what you pay for...... read more

I really wish I read the reviews before coming here. My son had his lenses replaced, and when we made the appointment, we were told that they would be same day. However, it took weeks to arrive and then when it did, it was not the right prescription. So fast forward to another couple of weeks, it finally arrived, and he had them for one day before they got scratched. When we placed the order, we told them that we wanted scratch Protection and that did not happen. I just tried calling their customer service and they said that we would have to buy a whole new set of lenses. What a horrible way to treat a customer. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

I just walked into Stanton Optical with no appointment (customers in seats) asking if they could fix my 5+ year old glasses. Without hesitation they took amazing care of me with excellent customer service and accommodations. A very nice lady and young gentleman fixed, cleaned and returned my glasses to me and told me about their discounts for me for the future. I left thinking "you don't get that kind of service any longer". Thank you for taking the time and giving me your best! It is much appreciated and I will be a return customer! read more

If you want the worst customer experience this is the place to buy. First the eye exams gave different results. 2nd top of the line transition lens glasses were terrible. Couldnt see straight without eye stress. 3rd The high end sun glasses started coming out of the frame and they did not repair or resolve that wanted to charge more and said you need lens warranty( what!!!) to repair. AVOID STANTON AND THIS LOCATION AT ANY COST. Terrible service. I paid almost $1200 for the glasses and this is the result. Their manager is not available and you got to run around. The counter person is not helpful. Get Costco or others not this read more

If you have to go here, ask them what size frames you wear before you purchase glasses. They sold me frames that were two sizes too small and I experienced terrible headaches. They didn't even measure or ask what size I was when I originally purchased the glasses. read more

I normally go to Costco, but I thought I would try Stanton because they advertise that it was a quick turnaround for a prescription lenses. I will never step in that building again. When I walked in, there were several displays of glasses and people walking around looking. There were two customer service desk, one on the side and one in the back. I stood in line at the one on the side. I was second in line. Every once in a while an associate would walk by and say I will be right with you. I waited there for 25 minutes and in that time people were constantly cutting in front of me, asking the clerk of question. I fully expected the staff to say she's next, but that never happened. This place was so disorganized that I have ways. Don't mind that people were cutting in front because everyone there was frustrated. The staff was of no assistance whatsoever. When I finally got up to my turn, I asked the clerk is there a number system or anything and she told me no. I gave her my prescription and asked what the turnaround time would be. It was not the advertised quick turnaround instead it would be two weeks. Twice as long as the Costco turnaround. I took my prescription to Costco, grabbed a number there and was served within a minute of grabbing a number. Found some glasses placed my order in. It arrived in four business days. I got a text from Costco with my code and pick my glasses up in my locker. At Stanton if it was so hard to get service as a new customer, I made the conscientious decision that if I did place an order, I would only be again frustrated when I returned to pick up the glasses by the lack of organization and efficiency in this store. It really wasn't so much the clerks problem. The problems at this place start at the top. I'm sure the clerks were just as frustrated as everyone else in that building. read more

Stanton Optical - Great deals for October 2022 - Optometrists Near Me - Roseville, California

My family has been going here your years but we are now done. In August my teenager went in for her yearly exam (virtual optometrist) and was told there was an issue with her eyes and needed to see the in person optometrist. They go back see the optometrist and was told a severe eye issue and will need special contacts that will help correct the issue, and if not corrected she will lose her vision. They also said tell her primary in the new year and get a referral. Primary needs there report and after that battle we get it and it says her eyes are healthy! Leave messages and emails.... They promised the optometrist would call us back to explain and it's been over a month and nothing. Today go to the EYEcenter in Rocklin and full exam and NOTHING is wrong with her eyes! My daughter cried.. In front of the optometrist at the EYEcenter hearing she wasn't losing her vision. How can you guys be so heartless and tell a teenager she is losing her vision and it's all a LIE?!!! There is special karma coming to people who are cruel to kids. Your office is a flipping disaster, doesn't matter what day, what time and you will be there for hours. I have dealt with it. I have dealt with one of the employees charging me for a glasses feature that they never added to the order. THIS THOUGH? final straw. This time you messed with my kid. This time you made my kid cry thinking she was losing her vision!! The day I see this location close is the day I will celebrate. You are cruel, heartless people. Especially the optometrist but entire location needs to close read more

This location is sooo much better than the one in Stockton in pacific the service is very welcoming and friendly

I went to Stanton Optical on 10/4/24. I needed glasses quickly for my trip to South Lake Tahoe. I was given excellent customer service by Pieora. He helped me with selecting my frames, setting up my VSP Platinum Account and went above and beyond, by getting them to me on the following day. Their machine was down, so they went to another location to get them done. Pieora was kind, and enjoyable to talk to. I'm thankful for everyone's help! I highly recommend them. The last time I had an eye exam there, the prescription was wrong. I had the glasses made and they were wrong, of course. I had to have an exam somewhere else and remake the glasses. Their ad for 2 pairs for $79 is not true and made in one day is a lie too! I will never go there again!!! read more

Service date 1/4/2025 A few months ago my teenage son was given the news his vision needs correction. He was not thrilled with this development and was a reluctant shopper for frames. After much prodding, my son sorted through the many Stanton options and found a suitable pair. Demetrius assisted us with the rest of the transaction. He had the glasses ready quite fast at a fair price. Extremely thankful to stay under budget since I was paying out of pocket and money is tight. As soon as we left the store, my son put the glasses on and was shocked at how better things looked. He instantly went from reluctant to very pleased with this purchase. Grateful the my son will be able to bring his glasses to school after the long winter break. Thank you so much Demetrius for assisting this Mom and son!!! I will definitely return when either of us need new glasses. read more

Stanton Optical is a rip off. They advertise " buy one get one" for $79.00 with free eye exam. I had my eye exam and paid $80.00 for a pair of glasses. when I asked them abut 2nd pair, they said I had to pay extra. I agreed for one pair I was told that the glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. When I called them after 2 weeks , they told me that it'll take another couple of days. I called them again after 3 days, they again told me again that it'll take another couple of days. Finally 1 month later they texted me that the glasses were ready . When I went to pick up the glasses, and put them on to check it out, there was no difference in my vision. I told the employee and she agreed for a re-test of my eyes. This time my result of prescription was different. I was told that this would take 2 weeks for the new glasses. I needed the glasses today so I asked for the refund so I can get it made somewhere else. I was told that I would be refunded with $55.00 only and the $25.00 would be deducted for the service. With the glasses arriving in 1 month instead of 2 weeks , and , not having the right prescription, with their mistake, I should have been refunded the full amount. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO VISIT STANTON OPTICAL read more

(Review made during COVID-19 period of essential business operation only) I made the mistake of going to Stanton Optical today. An appointment for 3:45 PM. It is now 4:27 and I am still on one of these uncomfortable steel benches. If it was not for this pandemic I would have gone anywhere else. Not only are staff very dry and unfriendly, but the place is kind of clustered and messy. Probably the worst experience I've had at an optometrist so far. Additionally, I'm over here fasting for Ramadan and these guys are getting Cheesecake Factory delivered here, leaving their lunch door room open for all the odors to fill the waiting areas. Oh! And FYI, they are doing all this through tele-Health (Skype/zoom) you do not get a 1 on 1 with an actual optometrist. You agree to that when you sign the oily iPad for terms and agreements AFTER YOU MADE AN APPOINTMENT. On some sleazy snake oil salesman hype. I will never come here again. STANTON OPTICAL: Do not offer appointments just to lock patients in. I would have came later had you told me 3:45 was not gonna work. Also, the eyewear selection is super sad here. I just need my prescription to buy my stuff online, y'all are too much . Update: Hey guys, they refused my service after going through the entire examination it's all good I didn't wanna pay for that half-given service anyways. I guess take everything I say with a grain of salt? Ultimately, their loss! I also emailed them, see their response to this review below...waiting to hear back from someone. They respond to all the reviews obviously to improve their online image. Take your business down the street to Stanford Ranch Optometry. The difference is night and day. read more

I am very disappointed that I can only select a single star. There should be a -4 and that's what I would choose. Three weeks ago I made an appointment with this company. The appointment scheduler told me 6:45 PM would be great. I show up and there's a sign on the door saying they close at 7 PM. That struck me as odd because I've never had an eye exam or an eyeglass fitting in under 15 minutes. I entered and the receptionist was pleasant. I went to the back where I should've been escorted into an eye exam room and was told that my eye exam would be virtual because the doctor "leaves at a certain time. " I asked how that was possible? I was told "You know, they put the machine to your eyes and they go 1,2,1, 2- the usual." No, that is ridiculous! I did not order a baked potato with sour cream and, "you know, the usual." I'm talking about my vision, which should be of the utmost importance to them since that's the business they are in. Not only was that information delivered in the most nonchalant manner possible, but also came with attitude, as if I made the error in scheduling. I said calmly, "just cancel my appointment" and I left. The receptionist was very empathic and tried to be of service. I appreciate her. Be forewarned, your eyes are extremely important. If the company that's in place to help you ensure they are working well behaves like this, go somewhere else. I deserve better than this in exchange for my money; my time; my patronage, and my good recommendation. Suffice to say they did not and will not ever experience community with me. If you are wise they won't see you either! read more

If I could give them no stars I would. I just got off the phone with a gentleman who claims he's the manager of the galleria location... I believe he said his name was Xavier and I had signed up for a club to get a free exam and I was not told that there was an expiration date for the free exam so essentially I just gave them a $20 tip for no reason and he said that the receipt states that there is an expiration, however I explained to him that I was verbally told that there was no expiration by the lady who pushed the club on me in the first place and his response was "it clearly says it on your receipt" He was extremely rude and unprofessional and this was the third person that I have been transferred to with this issue. He told me that he was not going to give me a free exam and I stated that I was not looking necessarily for a free exam I just wanted to make it right since I paid them $20 for a service I never received even if he could do a promotional price or a discount on the exam and he said "...not unless I was willing to purchase contacts from them but it would not make sense because they charge $150 a box for the air optix colors and it would be cheaper elsewhere" he didn't even look up the price he was guessing $150 per box and even told me I'm not going to give you a free exam to go elsewhere. I cannot believe how rude they have become and it's all about the money not being fair or making things right or listening or helping the customer. I'd rather go to the place that I went to recently and pay them $120 for their exam as they at least listen and try to help. The only reason I didn't return to Stanton optical was because my new place accepted my vision insurance until recently. Thank you for taking a $20 tip from me and not offering a service as you promised Stanton Optical and thank you for how rude and short you were on the phone with me Xavier. I've been a manager for many years and I've never treated anyone so poorly, let alone try to make things right. Even offering $10 off of the exam was out of the question. I asked, he laughed. Update 1/4/2020 They asked me to call back so they could help resolve this and I was transferred to Xavier again who told me that it's an automated response to my Yelp review and there's nothing they would do to help me or rectify the situation. So thank you for wasting my time as I was on hold for nothing. Way to go with your customer service super disappointed in you. read more

Its just days before school, and I need a pair of glasses for my daughter... why did I wait until last minute... What is a girl to do... I came across Stanton Optical when looking for something I could get in an instant. There was a phone number, so I called right away. The person that picked up was quick to help me any way I needed. They made my daughter an appointment to get in within half an hour. When we arrived at Stanton Optical, the look inside was crisp, clean... prestige looking. There were samples of glasses neatly organized along the wall. A woman named Cassidy greeted us and showed us around the wall of glasses, to where we do an eye exam. The cost of the eye exam is free, with the purchase of glasses...so you do pay the $45 fee for the exam. When you purchase the glasses within so many days, the cost of the eye exam is credited to the glasses you purchase. Kelsey did the eye exam. She was very professional, not too talkative unless she was giving directions. She did great. Then it was off to another room to find the right prescription lenses for Angelina. Dr. John Jordan brought us into another room, first, he had Angelina try to read what was lit up on the wall. Then he put the mechanical mask over her and switched up the lenses until she was reading the letters 200% better! Success!!!! We paid for the exam and were then taken to the wall with the different kinds of frames. We were also told that there was a deal going on... BUY ONE FRAME, AND GET ONE FREE!! The frames we were looking at ranged from $99-$129...Cassidy came back and introduced herself again. She's the girl I pay for the frames. When we picked out our 2 choices, she went over cost, and protection. She was very wonderful and patient with us.... All together- $395 later, we walked out with a 1 pair of frames with the correct lenses... the technician accidentally broke the other frames we picked out and they just happened to be the last ones. He said, if he could find the same frame at his store, he would bring them and I could pick them up in a few days. He did call the same day with good news! He said they should be ready for pick up in 3 days! I ended up waiting a week before I went in again(I checked on Monday, 8/29/16), and they were the wrong frames. Stanton Optical actually had no idea about the frame the technician had broken and they thought I was exchanging for another pair. So I had to explain to them I was still waiting for the orginal frame we had chosen. Cassify said they are going to have to order them and will call me when they are ready... So far, it's been a pretty good experience. Although I do not have her 2nd pair of frames yet, I am blessed that my daughter has her sight back, and don't mind waiting for her second pair.. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THERE THAT HELPED US!! I will let you know when I do receive the 2nd pair of glasses read more
