I'll start by saying the blonde last up front is very sweet. But everything else was garbage. Do NOT go here. First we waited over an hour for our appointment while the snotty lady up front just sat on her butt. We weren't given an explanation at all why it was taking so long and no one else was being seen. There was no line. Just waiting for no reason. Then they video conferenced in someone who barely spoke English to do the exam -I'm not upset he didn't speak English based in R*acism I am because he couldn't understand anything I said and just angrily kept repeating his script. Clearly no is here cares about your prescription at all. Which is even more evident because of the "free" glasses (they obviously can't charge for the shady way they get your prescription so they just charge you for glasses which is a scam) came small as heck and wrong. They blamed in on this or that and said to put them on in the morning. Didn't work. I assumed it was the size of the frames so I ordered more glasses from somewhere else and nope it's the prescription that's wrong. They claim it's cheaper then upsell you. I m from Vancouver Wa where I first went to Stanton Optical in Hazel Dell. I had a pair of glasses I needed a new perscription and my doctor's office wanted 600 to put in the new lenses. That was with my insurance!! I went to Stanton and purchased a new lense for under 200. I was so impressed I became obsessed with getting new glasses and prior to moving here I became a "Eyerwear enthusiast" and purchased several pair..plus sending several family and friends. The service was very good and then I moved to Nampa and refused to go to the Nampa Stanton optical and continued to buy more glasses when I went to Vancouver every March and October. NEVER had an issue aside from my husband thinking I had become a full-blown frame fanatic....the manager from Vancouver Stanton moved to Nampa store, where I have continued to purchase a few new pair of glasses. I have several pair of high end glasses...Prada, Coach, Ray Band, Gucci and other pairs from Europe...The glasses I have from Stanton are good quality, fun and very stylish. Any issues I have had are quickly resolved and I appreciate their service and all glasses are guaranteed and they stand behind that guarantee. Yes, sometimes they are very busy and you do need to wait. I had to wait at my regular doctor's office as well. It is worth it! You save so much. The Nampa location is very busy and the service is just as good as Vancouver location. There are rude folks everywhere. Perhaps a bad day. We never know what someone is experiencing. I hate to see bad reviews for Stanton because someone had to wait or was offended by a "rude" employee. You save a great deal of money, good quality and good service. I just picked up four pair of glasses today that I gave them the incorrect perscription. They re-did them all.....perfectly. I look so cute in all my frames.!! I discussed purchasing 2 pairs of glasses with Perla went through the whole process thinking I was getting 2 Pairs. A month goes by and I hear nothing so I called and tried the automated system. My phone number has no order associated with it. I call back and spoke to a live person they said oh yeah they are ready I know it I've touched them. Go into pick up and there's only 1 pair. They person said here's a copy of the receipt you received. I never looked at the receipt because we were talking about 2 pair the whole time. I thought with the offer they gave me $232.00 was for 2 pair. Very disappointed didn't take the glasses got refund for everything except the eye exam. Will never go back. The opthalmalogist was great! But then I received two text messages saying that my glasses had arrived. I drove to the store but they were not in. The store contains false advertisements on the walls to lead you in. The clerks lead you to the most expensive frame/lenses first. Their helpdesk said they take Medicaid, which is true. But the glasses are more expensive with Medicaid. $1200 with Medicaid, $750 without Medicaid and with all the coupons applied. Next time, I'll just take my prescription and go somewhere else for the glasses order. read more

My 1 yr old Rx was 4.0 & 4.25 on contacts. When I told them I was ordering thru 1-800-contacts I was shown my NEW Rx, 2.75 & 2.50... I laughed! I won't be able to see... was told I HAD to pay for the vision exam. I said this was just a waste of my time. I walked out. Know your current Rx b4 going there. Came in looking for a prescription update for my contacts. Made it clear to the staff throughout process that all I wanted was the prescription, she tries to sell me contacts anyway, after which I get annoyed. She asks if I don't feel like being social today as I'm clearly not engaging in her trying to sell me contacts. She claims I never told her I just wanted the prescription. I tell her I just want to pay for the exam and leave now. So rude. When a customer tells you exactly what they want, honor it. This place is severely overpriced. Contacts are not the same price everywhere as they claim. You can get them cheaper, particularly when you buy 6 or 12 months at a time. Most of the on line sites will automatically deduct your insurance from the cost at checkout. None of this rebate nonsense. This place is not great for the consumer. Also, the waiting area is depressing. TV's that aren't on, Water fountains out of order. Needs to be vacuumed. It was empty on a Saturday afternoon, I can see why. read more

Very terrible. Staff was not welcoming, terrible attitude. Talked to you like you should know what to do and they shouldn't have to do anything. Wasn't seen until an hour after my appointment. Doctor was absolute terrible. Mumbled everything so it was incredibly hard to hear him, that's whenever he did speak, which wasn't a lot. He rushed everything and just seemed like he had better things to do. Didn't really tell me anything about my eyes and if they've changed at all or not . Definitely will not be going here again. He kept telling me people pay out of pocket and find that cheaper then their insurance. Which to me that would vary upon each person's insurance. Worst optometrist experience of my life. When Dr. Fackrell came to call me to his office, he ran back to it instantly before I could get my stuff together. So I could not find him or his office. When I eventually wandered into the right room, he mumbled something to me that was indiscernible through his mask. He proceeded to do a normal eye exam, except that he clearly didn't give a damn; He mumbled 1 and 2 as inaudibly and unenthusiastically as someone whose kid just died. This wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, if he didn't start skipping sections of the test if I took more than a second to choose. He was also very reluctant to show me the previous 1 after he said 2. Any other optometrist goes back and forth a few times, to make sure the patient is happy with the choice. He also would not have given me prism lenses if I hadn't specifically mentioned it. He eventually reluctantly gave me a half hearted test for it, and said, "well, I guess I can add some prism." I ask that he is removed, and his license revoked. After the test, I was abandoned in the main room of the building, with no instructions, and no help in sight. I strolled around looking at frames, and tried to find the ones that go with the $80 deal. Eventually I found exactly 3 pairs, which belonged in a costume shop for pedophiles and clowns. There is a giant sign saying same day pickup. But after they took my money, I was told it would take 2 weeks! read more

I went in here as I recently broke my glasses and I really can't see up close very well without them, and using talk to text gets old especially when people keep telling you all the crazy stuff I've accidentally said so I wanted an appointment right away, I also opted to have my eyes rechecked as I had the last pair for so long. They were able to get me an appointment for the next day. However I had to wait much longer than I wanted to finally pick them up. I had requested the blue light blocking, I think that's what it's called, and anyway when I was first went to get them they didn't have that, so they took them back and told me it would be another couple days. And though I had to wait longer than I would have liked, everyone was very nice and they got me in very quickly so I was at least happy about that. And it was an honest mistake, maybe I didn't make it clear. But great customer service very nice people. read more

We had to have a teledoc appt. It was kinda weird. However the gals there took really great care of my daughter afterwards. One girl was super patient as my daughter was trying contacts for the first time. She was so good at encouraging her to keep trying. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The staff in Nampa is beyond incompetent. They were rude from the second that I walked in and even mocked a Spanish-speaking customer. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and when I express that they were unprofessional i was laughed at and told it wasn't their fault my insurance "sucked". I will NEVER be going back and made a formal complaint due to the lack of care the employees expressed. oke also failed to give me back my ID and insurance card. The glasses here are very dirty with fingerprints all over the lenses as well as face oil. They felt very gross. With the current outbreak of the coronavirus, there should be hand sanitizer readily available as well as paper towels, and toilet seat covers in the restroom. The staff were somewhat knowledgeable. Said there was a wait for an appointment, but then said there was an appointment available immediately. After going to the counter, they said there was a 20 minute wait to see the doctor. Very annoying. Think we'll go somewhere else. read more

Poor service. Disinserted service people. Some what deceitful pricing scheme. When I selected the frames which go with their 2 for pricing plan was told they would need two weeks to order the frames. Almost appears to be a bait and switch type program. Went to another discount optical and got two nice pair for less than $ 80.00 in under two hours. The sales lady(Priscilla) even reminded me of the 20% discount for veterans. There was only one other customer in the store when I was there so there was simply no excuse for the poor disinterested service. This is the only negative review I have ever written. read more

I called and asked the price for an eye examine and 2 pair of glasses with progressive lenses. They told me it would be $99. I made an appointment. They told me it would take 25 to 30 minutes. I was there over an hour and after the eye examine, I had to leave gor a Dr. Appointment. I paid for the eye exam and was told when I come back they would credit the eye exam towards the purchase of glasses. I returned a week later to get glasses, I picked out frames and was then told because I left, I could not get the credit. I said Thanks and left. I bought glasses 2 years ago and the lenses have a coating on them. The coating is so spotty on both pairs of glasses, I can't use them. I definitely would not recommend this place. Just moved to Idaho and hate exams, both physical and eye. Bit the bullet and went to Stanton Optical and the Dr. and his Saff were great. The Dr. was a bit aloof (shy?), but nice, calm, thorough, and took his time with my questions after getting some semi not so great news (mild macular degeneration.) Referred me to a specialist he has high regards for. The staff? Unbelievable! Professional, fun, helpful, kind...Can't say enough for them!!!! read more

Horrible! our appointment was at 6:05. We got there 15 min early to fill out all the paperwork. At about 6:10 an employee comes up to us and tells us the doctor is leaving in 15 minutes and won't be seeing us. Really?!?! We sat there for 25 minutes, preparer and WITH AN APPOINTMENT and the doctor decides to take off early?? I have never been treated like that in my life. Total disregard for our time. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Had multiple people come in after me and get helped first. When they finally did come to help me 45 min later.. they were rude, not helpful, and I got scammed into buying glasses from them. They told me it would take 2-14 days to get my glasses and they would call when they were ready .. I waited 16 days and never got a call I went in, had to wait 30 minutes and finally got my glasses. I found out that they had had them for over a week! When I asked why I hadn't been called they said they did call. They then tried to argue with me about it! Never going back there again! read more

DON'T GO HERE. The absolute worst experience I've ever had at an optometrist. I went to see Dr. Fackrell. He rushed through the test without giving me a chance to compare the lenses properly, or to even respond. Before I had even had a chance to compare them, he would cut me off and say "it's good enough" and move on to the next lens. His manner was extremely rude, he had zero patience, and I could hardly hear him through his mask and mumbling. He couldn't care less about my opinion or to get the prescription right. I almost walked out the room in the middle of the exam because of how rude he was, and how I could tell that the prescription was going to be inaccurate. He wanted the appointment to be over as soon as possible. I've been to many optometrists and know what an eye exam is like when done properly, this was the opposite of that. At the end of the test I told him that I still couldn't tell the difference between an O and a C, and he said "yeah that's fine". No one assisted me in choosing my glasses or even told me about the pricing scheme, I found that out by accident. There are about 6 pairs that are part of the deal and they all look like joke glasses, the kind you would find in a costume store to make you look ridiculous. So when I got home from the test I ordered others online using that prescription, so that I would have glasses that looked even slightly okay. They advertise same day glasses, but it took 8 days. After receiving the glasses, I still have terrible astigmatism looking through them, they are only slightly better for reading my computer screen compared to my 6 year old prescription glasses. The left eye prescription seems completely off, it pulls my eye in a strange way and is blurry compared to the right side. The doctor prescribed one set for reading and one for distance, but I have no trouble focusing my eyes for reading (I've never needed reading glasses), and I can actually read as good close up with the distance ones as I can with the reading ones, so why did he prescribe reading glasses when I didn't need them? My problem is astigmatism, not general eye strength. So now, only after receiving these glasses do I see how completely wrong the prescription was, and so I actually wasted even more money by buying okay looking glasses online with this wrong prescription. I wouldn't be surprised if using these glasses will make my eyesight worse, because these glasses aren't made for my eyes, the prescription is completely wrong. read more
