First time customer and I commend their great customer service! I was suppose to have a separate two appointment with my son, 30 minute increment, apparently I had a mixed up and was late and missed his, but they still entertained both of us. They were very patient and helpful. I love how thorough the check up was. We had two different ones. The first they called a "pre" eye exam which was handled by a girl. She had a lil apprehension on my left eyes result & she didn't had a problem redoing it. The 2nd one was done by Dr Fackrell and he was so great, very patient on repeating again and again for me to be sure that I see clearly. The cashier Nancy made sure she got all my info and what my insurance covers. That was great decision maker on what glasses I'm gonna get and my son's. She was very pleasant and super helpful. By the way, the establishment was a little tricky to find, they don't have a huge sign so it's easy to miss but other than that, great experience!!! Can't wait to get out glasses after 10 days!

They were sent back for replacement. Then when they returned and I was fitted to the frames they never fit right! They were Ray-Ban glasses and not cheap. The quality of their frames was so bad that after three or four adjustments - I stopped wearing them and went to Glasses USA. Paid $73 for two pairs of glasses that fit right out of the box - no adjustments necessary. Move forward to this year. Qualified for new lenses. Decided to get new prescription lenses for a 4 or so year old pair of Ray-Bans. After trying to be scared into trying to be new lenses into old frames, finally signed a waiver that released liability on them if they broke the frames (that were obsolete) putting new lenses in. Spent extra for the polarized lenses. When I received the glasses and put them on, noticed right eye wasn't as clear through my sunglasses as my eyeglasses. The right lense was a different prescription. Luckily I kept the old lenses from my sunglasses and just swapped out and threw away the right lense. Two weeks ago my daughter had an eye exam and picked out glasses. They were supposed to here yesterday. We got a call that the glasses didn't pass VSP quality inspection and they were being remade to arrive next Tuesday. My wife, meanwhile went to Costco (also VSP) two days after my daughters exam and got her glasses three days later. Her glasses had transition and bi-focal lenses and were still over $100 cheaper than my daughters standard lense glasses! In summary: Love my doctor at Vision One. Will never buy glasses there again!

I have been in glasses since 1979, so I've been around the block with several types of eye doctors,…read moresurgeons, billing practices, eye wear options and office staff at several different vision care centers. I'm confident in saying that Six One Six is by far, one of the best vision care facilities I have ever been to. I came here because they were one of the few places that took my horrible vision insurance from a previous job I had. I finally moved companies and now have exceptional coverage, yet found no reason to switch providers, regardless of the abundance of in-network and closer vision options to me. I have never experienced any issues regarding care, appointments, communication or billing in the 4 years I've been a customer. In fact, I've experienced exceptionally personalized, professional and authentic care from day one. I've had the absolute pleasure of being Dr Shelby Strick's patient from the get-go and am consistently comforted by her attention to detail, assurance and easy-to-understand explanation on everything I'm experiencing. Allie is usually the one that takes care of me with picking out eyewear, fittings and reviewing my bill. She is truly exceptional...with her patience, support to ensure you're getting what you need within budget (but still looking hot in your specs) and most of all, how approachable and friendly she is. I feel lucky to find such amazing people to take care of me.

On January 23, 2025, I visited Tree City Eyecare in Boise, Idaho, for an eye exam with Dr. Jeremy…read moreBall. Since I do not have vision insurance, I paid for the visit out of pocket. During the exam, Dr. Ball informed me that my prescription had changed, with my left eye's measurement shifting from -2.50 to -7.50. He also did not compare my old prescription to my new one so I could compare the 2. After returning home to Tennessee, I took my prescription to Sam's Club in Bristol, Virginia, to have my glasses filled. I ordered a regular pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses, totaling nearly $600, and let's not forget about the 1.5-hour drive each way from my home. When I picked up my glasses, I tried them on as usual. While I could see well for reading, my distance vision felt hazy, as if I were looking through a cloud. The staff suggested I wear my old glasses for the night and give my eyes a chance to adjust. I followed this advice, but the next morning, I still experienced cloudiness with the new glasses. After wearing them all day in an attempt to acclimate, I covered each lens to check for clarity. I found that my left eye was significantly blurry, indicating that the issue was with my new prescription glasses. Consequently, I scheduled another eye exam in my local area, which I also had to pay for out of pocket. The new doctor conducted a thorough examination and concluded that my prescription had not changed at all. This meant I would need to make another three-hour round trip back to Bristol, Virginia, to have a correct prescription filled. Additionally, I realized I would not have needed to order new sunglasses, as I already owned two pairs that were suitable based on my existing prescription. On the other hand, I do require new regular glasses, as my current pair is scratched and approximately five or six years old. After my recent eye exam, I contacted Kelly, the manager at Tree City Eyecare, to explain the situation regarding my prescription. She informed me that she couldn't assist me immediately but promised to consult with the owner, Dr. Jaimen Dixson, and get back to me the following day. When Kelly called the next day, she relayed that the owner would not take any action. I expressed that I was not seeking a full refund; I only requested reimbursement for my second eye exam. I explained that I had incurred over $800 in costs when it should have only been around $430, not to mention the inconvenience and travel expenses involved. Kelly suggested I return to Idaho for a re-examination, but I declined. I offered to show her my receipt and the new prescription as proof that I had been misdiagnosed and that it was unreasonable for them not to cover my new eye exam. I emphasized that this situation reflects poorly on their business practices, as I am a business owner myself.
