One they don't take health insurance Two I made my son an appointment and paid cash out-of-pocket When they were booking my appointment they told me it was $149 for a six month supply of contact lenses however when he got to his appointment it was $160 and he owes $160 more that doesn't sound like a deal to me So I made a complaint five days ago and no one has returned my call because I was sold false information We paid for a contact lens fitting he didn't even go home with contact lenses not even one pair to try on how does that work read more

Then I waited even longer for a doctor to sign off on a prescription... still waiting...it's been an hour since I got here and there's nobody else waiting but me. read more

I can't speak for anyone else here but Bryanna was a Rockstar for me! I came in on a Saturday morning about a problem with my prescription and she not only helped me find the right prescription and print it also taught me about how progress lens work so I could understand and a few other things. This place is a joke,they charged me 79 $ and didn't even get to see a actual eye doctor.The lady there kept telling me and my wife the doctor will see you in a few minutes never came it ended up being the lady at the desk that checked us in.when I made the appointment nobody informed me about no doctor on site and that my insurance wasn't accepted until It was time to pay for nothing I was told I was going to get a discount.i should of went to lens crafters because I have never had a bad experience with them all the time I have gone in the past,I will never go to this shit hole again and if you are smart you won't either it better to drive to Stockton. I have had a very difficult time with this optical. I came in to get my eye exam for my out of state drivers license renewal form and not only did they get my prescription wrong they did not get it back to me in time. They also gave me the wrong price for the eye exam and I had to pay way more than I expected. They told me it would take a day to get back to me, it took them a week and they did not once call me to tell me it was ready. I recently received my drivers license form back in the mail because the provider did not fill it in right. I called them and they told me they would see if they could book me in and promised a call back and they did not call me back at all. Overall a terrible experience. I will not be going to this clinic again and would not recommend it. read more

I went in yesterday to see if they did minor repairs on eye glasses. I had two pairs of glasses that were missing a screw that held a lens in. Brianna from Stanton was so helpful and pleasant. She fixed both pairs in just a few minutes at no charge. She told me if it happened again, just stop by. Thank you Brianna and Stanton Optical!! It was a wonderful experience; and made my day. Quit employing the omission of rules and obscuring policies to try to upsell customers to astronomical charges. When called out on this strategy, the "manager " claimed every kind of half truth and outright nonsense to make it my fault that our transaction went sideways. My favorite was " I was overwhelmed with customers". There were two of us. After reading the complaints of bait and switch,incorrect prescriptions, lost orders, and huge wait times, I'm glad I didn't overlook their shady tactics and went elsewhere. I even called to see if they would make it right by excepting their malfeasance and get closer to the advertised price. At one point, the " manager" hung up on me. read more

Well I'd like to give a great review because they do have a couple employees who are very nice but..I've had 2 exams to try to get my prescription right. I don't like the virtual doctor thing. I just feel it's not as accurate. Im still not sure my prescription is correct. I've been waiting since June for them to give me contact samples that are the exact prescription, they have given me samples twice that are close but not exact. I don't feel comfortable ordered until I try to exact prescription because these ones definitely are not right. So frustrated. I wish I could just get my money back for the exam and I'll go somewhere else. On another note Brianna was so kind and took her time with me to help me pick out frames and I did appreciate that. read more

I had an eye exam done and it wasn't even close to my current prescription. I took it to Costco to get glasses made, and the clerk there said I should go back and get an eye exam again. I got another eye exam and it still wasn't right, so I ended up going to, the eye doctor in Costco. My insurance covered Stanton optical, but it will not cover my eye exam at Costco. Total waste of time and money dealing with Stanton. read more

Went back to fix my prescription and they did a wonderful job of fixing the problem. The doctor had written the wrong script for me and had to change it. So Stanton Optical stepped up and stood by their warranty. I will keep going back for my future glasses. read more

Well I would have to say that the first time I came to the Stanton optical office in Lodi, a couple of years ago it left a bad taste in my mouth. But now when I came in the two Representatives that was here which was Chris and John were so very freaking polite they were very professional and a very friendly. Miss what's your name and Alicia was a very professional receptionist. she got my information. she was patient with me while I was on the phone with my sister and she got me all all booked in. I was looking for a low-cost eye exam, as I could tell my old prescription was getting a little old. I did not want to spend a ton of money, nor have a hard sell on glasses I did not want. I like to purchase online and only wanted the prescription. They have a $59 exam and 2 pairs of glasses. I thought it would be too good to be true. I was wrong. The exam is strange. It's telemedicine with a remote eye doc. It was quick and easy. I got the appointment on my phone and an hour later I was there in the chair. I told the staff I wasn't buying anything more than the 2/59 included and no upgrades. There was no hard sell or anything. They were great! The 2/59 selection is... well... slim and not the best. But for the price, you can't really complain. They had one of the two on-site and in less than an hour I was walking out with an exam and new glasses. I'm still kind of shocked that it was all this easy. I'll be back in a year or so and will send friends/fam as well. read more

I took my exchange son here for a pair of sunglasses. We ordered them on March 4. We were specific and clear with the staff: We are leaving for a beach vacation on March 14. We need the sunglasses before we go. The tech said she would put a rush on them and we should have them by March 13. Not to worry. March 13: No glasses. March 14: We go on vacation. March 21: We return from vacation. March 23: I call to arrange for pickup. The store is "closed until April 6." April 6: I call again, and am told to email customer service to arrange for pickup. I do. April 8: No response from customer service, so I email again. April 10: Still no response, so I email a third time. I started receiving replies to my email. Each reply gave different instructions. One directed me to "call this number and someone will arrange a time for you to pick up the glasses." Another said the store would open on April 18. The third was addressed to someone else. So I called the number and was told that "someone" from the store would call me in 24-48 hours and arrange to bring the glasses to our house. It's been 72 hours, and (color me NOT surprised) no one has called me. I get that the COVID-19 shutdown has caused some challenges, but THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. Schedule a 4 hour window once a week for customers to come pick up their glasses. Enforce social distancing. Meanwhile, we are out $200 (for the $59 glasses with exam), and no indication that we will ever receive the glasses. At this point, a refund would be just fine. read more

The young women in the front who "helped me " was very rude upon me asking questions regarding my contacts and when she tried to charge me i informed her I had insurance so she can see how much my insurance covered and she looked so bothered. This women had a very negative attitude I did not get her name or else I would've called the manager. The women then informed me she was the best worker there. Well with that attitude I did not see how that was even possible. My contacts prescription I got was wrong and along with my glasses that I spent so much money on. I have set two different appointments for a contact exam over the past two months. The first one I received a call 30 minutes before cancelling my appointment. Apparently they did not have a doctor in that day. So why did they schedule me in the first place? Two months later I tried again, drove 40 minutes to my appointment, and was told one of their machines was broken so they could not do the exam. They said they tried to call, but my phone was disconnected. Well, confirmed the number, and I guess they must have misdialed? Their solution was a 2.5 hour wait for their branch 15 minutes away. Stanton managed to disappoint me once again. I called them to have my prescription emailed to me so I could go to Costco to buy glasses. They said that they cannot email my prescription but I could come pick it up. So I drove down and told the girl that I need a copy of my prescription to go order glasses elsewhere. She said ok and quickly printed out a paper and handed it to me. I drove to Costco. Picked out glasses and handed them the paper. The Costco employee said "What is this?" I said it my prescription. She said "There is no Letter head or Stanton Name or a dr signature." Costco then called Stanton, asked for a proper prescription to be faxed over. Stanton employee said ok give me 5 minutes. We waited and waited. After 20 minutes they called back. Someone answered the phone but then sent us to the Call Center and we went told that the store is closed. What? Ugh. read more

She had a great eye for what looked complimentary. She was also knowledgeable about the insurance coverage and how to find the appropriate information for my needs. She was very patient with my son who was purchasing glasses on his own for the first time. She explained to him the costs and specials and was not pushy or rude. She also helped him with getting his eye exam . She also assisted me with purchasing the right fit glasses as I had already seen a optometrist prior to coming in. She gave me advice on the correct size and shape and we were very pleased with her service she provided . We will definitely be returning to this location for future glasses. I'm a returning customer. My first experience was in Stockton, CA and my expectations for this location was very high. They definitely met and surpassed the bar. Super friendly and attentive!! Greeted as soon as I walked in. I didn't have an appointment but they took me in anyways and got everything taken care of in one swoop. Mo helped me and he was absolutely awesome! He went above and beyond to look for the frames I had last time from the Stockton, CA location even though I didn't have the SKU or barcode. PLUS my glasses are promised to be done by tomorrow for the frames they have and then 2 weeks for my frames we had to look for. read more

I called to set up an appointment and they scheduled it for the same day which is great. He said if I register online I could save $25 off my visit. I went in with the intention of buying two pairs of glasses for $79 with a free eye exam. They had three racks of glasses that were available for this deal, but when I went to pay, they said not those glasses. There only about 20 pairs at that price on the racks that stated 2 for $79 with about 200 other pairs varying in price. Total bait and switch tactics. Stanton Optical is the worst business I've ever dealt with. They make a promise of satisfaction guarantee or a replacement or refund. The brochure they hand you at purchase clearly states this. Don't believe it!! It's a complete lie. My request for a refund was flat out denied. The manager's explanation regarding the refund policy when I read the phaphlet back to her was, "That's not what that means." Evidently they are deceptive in their refund policy using hidden loop holes that are undetectable to increase sales. Don't ever trust them! Furthermore, their glasses are low quality and feel like they came from a box of cracker jacks. Also, they did not offer to make adjustments or even check the fit of the glasses when I put them on at pick up. My recommendation is "Stay far away!" There are many other optical business that treat their customers right and stand behind their promises. read more
