She also handled all my insurance business. The office is very clean, has a 'boutique' feel and in a great location. Bill greeted me and was nice and friendly. I appreciated the Doctor being on time and not having to wait. Dr. Ho is personable, I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. We discussed my past eye health and he took the time to answer questions. Dr. Ho is thorough and knowledgeable. After my exam, Lanna showed me many styles of frames and I never felt rushed. She is friendly and funny! Lanna is well-informed about eye-wear, what looks good for your face shape and fits well (without slipping down your nose bridge!). All City has a great selection of frames, from Maui Jim sunglasses to other affordable styles. Both of my glasses were ready in eight days! I made an appointment and Lanna fitted them. I tried speaking to a manager there, and she handed the phone to Bill Henshaw. This is where lies, and getting yelled at came in while currently pregnant and pretty far along. He kept talking over me on the phone, not wanting to hear me out. Angela admittedly told me and my husband she had sent in the wrong prescription. And Bill Henshaw said she didn't and it was a "mistake" He told me that my insurance didn't cover my frames, lenses, and my prescription was too low to cover. And I wasn't billed. But I was! I told him that I spoke to my insurance. Not only was my prescription fine to cover as it met the requirements, but I was also billed! He argued / yelled at me while I was asking him to please call my insurance so he can hear what they told me. He told me he knows "Every doctor" and will call them. Today I got a call from Delta Eye (where I got my exam) and it was strange!!! All I wanted was glasses and for him to call my insurance to hear everything should be covered and fine. I've been a loyal patient and customer…read morehere for over ten years and have watched Brookside continuously go downhill as it appears they are trying to cut operating costs. My family of three all wear glasses and we've all had trouble getting our glasses in a timely manner. Three times now our lenses have come back with quality issues. Currently, it seems they're shipping out to a lab in Texas, causing around three weeks turn around. We've also had issues with the lenses' quality being subpar now (cracks not caused by us dropping/damaging, sunglasses lenses being too light), and the repairs also take another three weeks to fix. A handful of times we weren't notified that glasses were ready for pick up, despite us calling in for updates. They rely on a text system to alert us, but we haven't always gotten an alert to our phone numbers on file. Additionally, frame brand options keep dwindling. Brookside no longer carries the variety we originally came here for. Furthermore, it's frustrating to call and get to talk to an AI assistant robot. If I wanted big box instead of a Stockton business, I'd not be shopping here. You try and talk to someone, but their hands seem tied to their business model. Unfortunately, it is time to take our family's needs elsewhere.
