Yes! This office is worth it! Let me explain why! Who love's an efficient system in 2025? EVERYONE!…read more Brookside Optometric Group offers so many options that many don't. I know! Hurry up Monique and tell us ! 1. From their website you can literally review and book your eye appointment online. Yes you read that correctly. 2. New and Returning patients can complete vision forms completely online. BEFORE your appointment! "THANK YOU FOR THIS!" I can't stand having to fill out all of that paperwork right before your visit, it's horrible ! 3.You can read review each Doctor's profile on their website and filter through the appointments for when this specific doctor has an open appointment ! I can't explain how much these three amazing options make my life easier! My eye exam experience; I was seen by Dr. Scheer, She was amazing! Dr Scheer took her time explaining what to expect. She is so down to earth! Extremely talented! There are so many frame options, I was there for over an hour just trying on frames. The staff were patient and helpful. I am definitely will make the drive from the Bay Area to see Dr. Scheer! Absolutely worth it!!

I've been a loyal patient and customer…read morehere for over ten years and have watched Brookside continuously go downhill as it appears they are trying to cut operating costs. My family of three all wear glasses and we've all had trouble getting our glasses in a timely manner. Three times now our lenses have come back with quality issues. Currently, it seems they're shipping out to a lab in Texas, causing around three weeks turn around. We've also had issues with the lenses' quality being subpar now (cracks not caused by us dropping/damaging, sunglasses lenses being too light), and the repairs also take another three weeks to fix. A handful of times we weren't notified that glasses were ready for pick up, despite us calling in for updates. They rely on a text system to alert us, but we haven't always gotten an alert to our phone numbers on file. Additionally, frame brand options keep dwindling. Brookside no longer carries the variety we originally came here for. Furthermore, it's frustrating to call and get to talk to an AI assistant robot. If I wanted big box instead of a Stockton business, I'd not be shopping here. You try and talk to someone, but their hands seem tied to their business model. Unfortunately, it is time to take our family's needs elsewhere.

He has very high standards for his practice; how it's run and for the most part-his employees. I've personally seen them come, go, and be terminated if they're not meeting the minimum standards required. While a majority of his staff is very professional and knowledgeable as well as supportive of the doctor's mission and vision, there is an overall average of 1 percent of the employees who are striving to learn the doctor's commitment to providing the optimal in patient care and satisfaction. But I am confident that those select ones will grow over time and understand the cost of being in business for patients and how it ties in to being the face of the company versus a stick in the spokes of the wheel. All but one employee has the "it factor" and that's superb! Susanna is also a great leader and example for others. I've know her since she started working there and she's always been a great person and has awesome customer service. Overall, the team is a very well oiled machine that is capable and caring. The doctor is very caring and cautious when it comes to precision, customer experience, ethics and integrity. Anyone (patient) who thinks differently solely based on availability and selfishness, not giving consideration that doctors and staff alike need time to level up and recover, they're the ones who need to take a look at themselves, and not the staff. The staff and doctor are superb. This review is coming from a picky and b!+[hy, 20-year patient who loves specialty and personal care (ask him).

I'm writing this review while I'm here…read more This is my first time here & as soon as I get in I'm automatically given attitude by the front office staff. I try to say good morning anyway but I'm cut off by this woman who says "I'll be with u" & picks up her phone to call someone. - 1 star They take my ID & my insurance card & tell me to fill out paperwork. I bring up the paperwork & they tell me to go "sit back down" & they'll call me when they're done w/ my insurance & ID. I've been here since 9 and it's 9:40 & the only thing they've done is tell me how much to pay for my co-pay which they decided to yell for from the desk to where I was sitting. - 1 star This place is small, REALLY small. Unfortunately that leads to everyone's business being heard, especially when trying to buy the actual glasses. This women didn't have insurance nor did her daughter have a social security card... This convo was going on pretty much in the lobby seeing how everything is done in the lobby & yes, everyone heard this woman's business about her daughter. The poor woman was so embarrassed. - 1 star. I'm saving the last 2 stars for the doctor in hopes that at least he will be worth coming here for. . unfortunately it's been over an hour and i'm still sitting here.

My advice to this business is to learn from Amazons customer service department. Calling this business for the first time, machine says to press 1 to schedule appointments. Waited 15 minutes, automated machine says something like "please leave a message because the front desk are helping other people" then the phone transfers the music in the waiting room to a machine that says "voicemail is full". The phone disconnected. This is probably a bad sign. I can't imagine being a patient with issues and dealing the issues of not being able to contact anyone on the other phone line. Perhaps this is a big red flag. I would just take caution with this location, be careful, and find a second and third opinion or business. Look into the differences between the doctors and the front desk services.
