I needed an eye exam and a friend recommended All City Optometry. I called the office and spoke with Vanessa. She was very pleasant and had an available appointment in less than two weeks! She also handled all my insurance business. The office is very clean, has a 'boutique' feel and in a great location. Bill greeted me and was nice and friendly. I appreciated the Doctor being on time and not having to wait. Dr. Ho is personable, I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. We discussed my past eye health and he took the time to answer questions. Dr. Ho is thorough and knowledgeable. After my exam, Lanna showed me many styles of frames and I never felt rushed. She is friendly and funny! Lanna is well-informed about eye-wear, what looks good for your face shape and fits well (without slipping down your nose bridge!). THIS IS REVIEWS WITH DR. HO'S Location in BROOKSIDE: I love how he's taking so much care and precaution in his office against Covid! The front desk is lined with acrylic glass to prevent you or the staff from contacting. If you sign with a pen, the staff would tell you to leave it as they sanitize after you. You can definitely tell he cares about the safety of his patients and staff. Dr. Ho comes in with a face shield and mask. They rooms are open and spacious as well. Dr. Nguyen has been my optometrist ever since I've started wearing glasses which was when I was in the 6th grade. Over the course of all these years, he still remains the same, super friendly and highly knowledgeable. He always explains the process he takes during the eye exam, makes sure you understand and that you aren't in any discomfort. Recently, I switched over from prescription glasses to contacts. Dr. Nguyen walked me through the process and answered all my questions. He even had one of the assistants teach me how to put on my contacts so I wouldn't struggle on my own. read more

Dr. Ho is a great optometrist. It was my first time seeing him and he was very knowledgeable and educational which I really appreciated. He did not rush the appointment and it felt like he cared about his patient and did a thorough eye exam. I would recommend Dr. Ho to my fellow friends and family. He was very nice and did not try to pressure me to get a certain type of contacts since I barely started trying to use contacts and he even made sure my contacts were on correctly. I go back soon for the contact fitting to see how they worked out for me. He said if I don't like how they fit he would give me other brands to try. My previous optometrist just told me I needed to wear dailies and did not check to see if they fit correctly. He even realized my eyes were a certain shape (oval shape) so not most contacts would not work for me since they would fill stuck to my eye and he was right, my contacts did previously feel stuck to my eye. Dr. Nguyen is the best! I've been seen by him for 14 years now. He's very thorough and easy to talk to. He doesn't rush his appointments. I came in today at 4:30 (their last appointment time), and was really indecisive. I couldn't decide on whether or not I wanted to do a contact fitting in addition to my eye exam. So after 30 mins and me taking off my contacts, I decided I wanted to do the contact fitting, too. Then we ran into the problem of my old brand not fitting well, so I had to switch to a new one. Dr. Nguyen was very nice and understanding about the whole thing. I felt so bad because I made him work overtime on his birthday. Overall, I really recommend Dr. Nguyen. They used to be great, then the the doctors split and they moved and the service doesn't feel the same as well as Dr. Ho is not convenient for patients anymore only for himself and his staff. At the old location they were open until 5:30 M-F and opened every Saturday. They now close at 4:30 (which is not convenient for work people swing by after work instead leaving early), and they are no longer open every Saturday, they are now every other Saturday by appointment only, even to pick up glasses. I also didn't like the way his new office felt, can't explain it, but it feels nothing like the old place. I let them know today that I would not be returning. read more

If he can't do the exam than he'll send us to a specialist which is also a good one as well. He goes throughly wit the examine. There's no rush or anything. I gave a 2 stars because although we love Dr. Nyugen, the Asian receptionist is rude. My son went in there to try to practice for contact lenses and his eyes are really sensitive. The receptionist was helping him but told him that he will never be able to put contacts in his eyes and was not doing it correctly. what is she there for if not teach him how to put them in and take them out. We are not getting the service for free, we are paying for it and she cannot even give good service. The place he went to last year were very patient with him and I would rather pay a little more to get good service instead of rudeness. read more
