Review for Stanton Optical, 1309 E Pleasant Run Rd, Desoto, TX I recently visited the Stanton Optical on Pleasant Run Road, Desoto, TX, and I must express my profound disappointment with the service I received. On 3/12/2025, I went in for an eye exam and was dismayed to witness the staff prioritize a group that arrived after me, which felt discriminatory and unprofessional. The preferential treatment I observed was frustrating, to say the least. Returning on 3/14/2025 to choose frames, my experience worsened. While on FaceTime with my wife sharing my frustration and selecting frames, the manager, Melinda, began discussing me in Spanish with another customer, unaware I understood every word. When I confronted her, instead of showing any professionalism, Melinda reacted with hostility, loudly ejecting me from the store in front of everyone present. This behavior was unacceptable and embarrassing, not just for me but also for my wife who witnessed the ordeal live. I then visited the Stanton Optical in Waxahachie, where the staff was exemplary, and it became apparent that my experience at the Desoto location wasn't an isolated issue. Professionalism in customer service is paramount, and failure to uphold it can have significant negative repercussions. Word of mouth is powerful, and experiences like mine can deter potential customers. I hope that Stanton Optical takes my encounter seriously and implements disciplinary measures to prevent such incidents. No customer should endure what I did, and it's crucial for the reputation of your business to uphold standards that reflect respect and inclusivity for all patrons. Sincerely, [Ken] read more

I had the pleasure of being serviced by Brenda Snowden, Store Manager at Stanton Optical in DeSoto. Brenda did all she could to get me in the pair of eyeglasses that I needed at the lowest price possible by applying every discount available. I purchased a beautiful pair of frames including single vision astigmatism lenses w/ anti scratch resistant polycarbonate coating for $114.99, wow! Brenda was patient and priced a few different frames and various options only for me only to pick the first option we started at. Not once was I made to feel like she was frustrated with me or that her time was wasted. I also needed a replacement contact because I'd lost one. She not only replaced the one I was missing but gave me an extra since she happen to have another in stock. While she was taking care of that, she provided colors and activity books for my 5 boys to keep them busy so that I could focus on getting assisted. I still need another pair of eye glasses and to order a 6 month supply of contacts and I can't imagine going any where else after the awesome service and pricing I received there at Stanton Optical of DeSoto. Please come see Brenda and allow her to take care of you. She truly desires to take care of the community's optical needs. Thank you Brenda :-). Sincerely, ~Phillip Alexander read more

Hello I would like to leave my review on my experience with Stanton optial. From my first experience with Kimberly & Brenda the store manager her team is great all around Kimberly she was very professional even though the first time I met her I was not getting glasses that day, When I did come back for glasses she made me feel welcome. She helped me pick out the glasses as far as making sure they fit as well as the style. Today I picked up glasses and Kimberly and Leslie was there and greeted me with a smile. This was the best experience I have ever had when getting glasses. I literally had a 2 hour window to get glasses so that I'll be able to complete a DOT physical. With no eye exam appointment I was able to get 2 pair of glasses and eye exam for just 79.99. I would love to give a shoutout to Kimberly she was amazing and really showed that this isn't just a job for her and that she cares about the people that comes in she really helped out a lot even with a full store of people and they was short staffed she was able to multitask and get every done in a timely manner with out rushing the patients. If I could give her 100 stars I would. read more

I had a great experience at Stanton Optical recently. What really stood out was how good the customer service was. The staff were super helpful while I was looking through all their different frames, and they made picking a pair out pretty easy. I especially liked their color-coded price list - it made it so much simpler to stick to my budget. Even though it was getting late in the day, I didn't feel rushed at all, and they really took good care of me. It was just a really nice experience, and I'll definitely be back! read more

We're quick to complain and leave negative reviews, but we should also do the same when we have positve experiences. Linda was amazing prior to and had such a great genuine spirit about her. Brenda and Rueben were both such a great help during my visit, and went above and beyond with their customer service "and" customer care energy. That goes a long way. All 3 need a raise for being a great representation of the company. I can't speak for others, but my overall experience was a great one. I would recommend! read more
