Seems that the collection of the co-payment is the only thing anyone there knows or cares about. We are asked to pay in advance. Why? Shouldn't they perform the service first. Curious as to when they actually billed Medicare. Also, not sure why this doctor has a surgical location 30 miles from their offices. Certainly there are locations closer to patients. Their offices are big enough to house a surgical area, also. Dmsurgical doctors and staff are dismissive, gaslighting and don't have any concern about patient, just the necessity to cover their butts with disclaimers and give patients excuses, each staff member ruder than the last. This is actually some of the best customer service I've ever received, so I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4. -----original review below----- The way you're treated here, it makes it seem like all they care about is money. The glasses I got were strange from day one. I've been wearing glasses since Elementary school and I have never experienced anything like this with any of my lenses. Right away, with these lenses from America's best, I noticed I could see my own eyeball reflected on the inside of the lense. It's incredibly distracting. They're supposed to be anti-reflective but they reflect more light on both sides of the glasses than any other pair I've ever had. It's quite evident in photos. Also, the coating on the lenses started coming off after about 6 months of wear. Manifesting as small dots on the outside of the lense, the damaged coating is also very distracting. The final straw came when I asked to extend my prescription. My prescription has not changed much at all in 5 years, and I even commented how this current prescription was the same as my prescription from three years ago. I cannot deal with the dots on my lenses anymore, it is interfering with my daily life. I had hoped they would understand and grant me an extension on my glasses prescription, but sadly, that was not the case. I explained my situation, but I was told "the doctor said absolutely not." I asked why, and they told me "your eyes need to be looked at." I'm 25 years old. I do not have a family history of any eye diseases. There is clearly an option for a two year prescription on the paper, yet they insist I come in every year. I asked to speak to the doctor, but I was declined. Why am I not allowed to speak to my own doctor? Seems to me like they don't care about me as a person at all and just want the $60 or whatever it is they charge for an appointment. I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time and money here. Poor customer service and poor quality glasses. My advice to you: Find a local doctor for your prescription and go to Warby Parker. It's cheaper in the long run and they give a pair of glasses to someone in need every time you buy a pair!

Be careful with that membership fee. It's $20 I believe. I had to tell the young man to remove that. The exam itself was $119 and the contacts were going to cost about a little over $300. The major problem was the time it was going to take to receive them. I was told about 4+ weeks and that there wasn't a sample pair available. The sample pair had to be ordered as well and "maybe" I'd have them in a week. I didn't want to wait that long and good thing I didn't. I ordered from 1800CONTACTS and they got to me in 3 days. I also saved about $160. It was the same lenses that were recommended there. I didn't want to drive out to Dallas to my regular eye doctor. Lesson learned.

We were greeted and showed the way to the waiting area. And in a professional manner was treated and seen efficiently and effectively. While the prescription for the eye exam was being administered we were shown the glasses available and explained how the process worked with my insurance. Once we found what we wanted it took no more than 15 minutes to order what we needed and wanted. I also had my order the next day. Give these folks a try and if you walk in the favor I do you will be more than satisfied.

The doctor is very insensitive and I don't feel he has the skills to deal with children. Children need to feel comfortable, especially when it's their first visit. I even asked the doctor does he see normally see children, he replied yes, which shocked me. He kept telling my son and myself how kids always lie on the eye exams to avoid getting glasses. After the first couple of time saying this, it can make the current patient feel like you are calling them a liar. I was really hoping to like this doctor, because he is close to my home and I was able to get a next day appointment. But it didn't turn out that way, me and my family will be looking for another physician. I also posted to this location facebook page, but they deleted my post. I guess they only leave 5 star postings on their page. The doctor did reply to me via email, titled "apology/explanation" which was all explanation and no apology.
