the front desk "ladies" are horrible and until they find new staff for the front desk i will never…read morerecommend this place. i've been a paying patient there since a teen and i have chronic eye issues that leaves me with swollen and infected eyes and the pain is excruciating due to the inflammation from the infection and eye abrasions. i called this place so many times in the last 4 or 5 days till when they finally decided to answer my call and not send me to the voice mail one of the front desk "ladies" said in the background quote "i've been blowing the phone up" and the other one was rude and kept cutting me off when i tried to tell her what was happening to me. i'm hurt because it's not the actual doctors there its those chicks. i also heard the man who fits your glasses talking about me to those same chicks as if being at that front desk listening and giving his two sense in a matter that is totally not his business is his job and it isn't. i do not recommend first eye care in desoto on wheatland in dallas because of this and my family and i are finding another eye doctor due to this new staff. they had other actual women and true ladies with great attitudes and professionalism there at one point. no idea what happened but i read another review saying the doctors are great there (thomas and burton) but the staff in the front ruins the place. they need to be fired expeditiously in my humble opinion for their passive aggressive attitudes and their lack of urgency in an emergency situation thay only required them to let my doctor know so he could send over the right prescriptions to clear my infection and stop the pain. i finally was abke to talk to my doctor bt going around the front desk and calling an after hour number for the doctor and i told him what those little girls did. they also said things that implied they were screening calls and purposely not answering for me. i am done with them as a patient and it is because of how they did me. my mother is leaving as well asnshe has been seeing me suffer and seeing nothing being done about it because those girls have no compassion and no couth at all. we both (and my grandmother) were long time patients and now it's come to an unfortunate end because that is ridiculous and i won't let them take me though there ever again i prefer to take my leave and pray for everyone who are still patients there and hope they never have to experience what i have these last 4 to 5 days.

My glasses came in less than a week. They quoted me three weeks. I can actually see. I didn't want progressive lenses but I needed them. The last time I got them I couldn't see out of them. Well things changed. I was reading things outside of the store. The young lady who was providing me services said wait you can read all of that. Yes! Yes! I can! To be able to see and the glasses are so fashionable is great. I got three pairs of glasses and I couldn't be happier.

When I brought this severe error to their attention, management completely refused to correct their own mistake. Instead of standing by their work and ensuring accuracy, they demanded an additional $110 just to perform another exam to fix a mistake they made in the first place. A clinic that refuses to stand by its prescriptions and charges patients extra to rectify clear errors does not prioritize care or standard professionalism. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
