I will never return to In Focus Vision, nor would I ever recommend family or friends get an eye exam at this facility. They issued me a prescription that was completely incorrect--off by several diopters compared to my actual vision needs and nowhere near any prescription I have ever had in the past. When I brought this severe error to their attention, management completely refused to correct their own mistake. Instead of standing by their work and ensuring accuracy, they demanded an additional $110 just to perform another exam to fix a mistake they made in the first place. A clinic that refuses to stand by its prescriptions and charges patients extra to rectify clear errors does not prioritize care or standard professionalism. had an appointment scheduled and confirmed, yet InFocus Vision - Cedar Hill canceled it without even giving me a 24-hour notice. I responded to their confirmation text with "C" to keep my appointment, but they still went ahead and canceled it. On top of that, they mentioned I would likely owe $49 out of pocket despite having insurance -- which makes no sense and was never explained clearly. It's frustrating and unprofessional to treat patients this way, especially without proper communication or respect for their time. I was looking forward to this appointment, but now I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

They are very polite but they did not inform me that I was receiving an eye check (picture of cornea) that I have never received in 40 years that would cost extra money. They also want an additional $90 for contact fitting after I paid $40 for the first contact fitting. Dr said if I didn't like the single vision I could go back to my multi focal no problem, but she didn't tell me that would another appointment and $90 EXTRA. This is the worst eye doctor experience of my life. I still can't get my prescription $175 later. read more

Pleasant experience from beginning to end. I took my daughters (ages 16 & 5) for their back to school check ups. As new patients we didn't know what to expect. Worst experience ever! I felt ripped off! I didn't know if they were just making up prices! Not happy with the experience! They should print out formal receipts that summarize the services I paid for!! The whole experience felt off! Also prices were too high for the level of services they provide and for the limited equipment they have. Never going back!!!!! They gave me the wrong prices twice! Also, doctor made me believe she was giving me the contact brand I asked for but instead she gave me a different brand which extremely dried out my eyes! She also gave me the wrong prescription!! I had to go somewhere else to get my eyes checked again in order to get the correct prescription and contacts! The visit at Infocus was a waist of time and money. To top it off they didn't want to take any responsibility and did not want to give me back my money. I was not fully reimbursed so I am still mad that this was not resolved like it should have been! Today, I sent my daughter for an eye appointment, for the specific reason of updating her contact lens prescription before she returned to school. Upon completion of her visit, she was told by Louise that once she came back to finalize her contacts order, she would be provided the prescription. My daughter then questioned Louise restating the fact that they were NOT going to give her, her contact lens prescription even though she had already paid for the visit. At that point, the doctor stated, "...the prescription will be with the order when you pick up your contacts." Upon further questioning Louise, my daughter was told again that once she finalizes her order, they would EMAIL her the prescription. 15 minutes ago, I contacted the office and requested to speak to either the Office Manager or the doctor. I was asked by Louise if she could get some details of the call to relay...I recited the fundamental details: name, appointment time, amount paid and she acknowledged the visit. I asked Louise why my daughter was not given a hard copy of her prescription. She initially responded with, "Ya, I think there was some miscommunication on my part. I told her that she could just get her prescription when she finalizes the order." I told Louise the transaction was finalized when we paid in full for the services rendered. She was combative, argumentative, and extremely unprofessional. A back and forth conversation ensued for a couple of minutes with no relenting from Louise - no forward to an office manager, and no forward to the doctor. She did however state, "...your daughter completely understood what we told her so we will just email her the prescription." With no satisfactory conclusion, I ended the conversation by stating we were going to have to drive back out to the facility tomorrow, and we would be picking up her prescription. We are NOT going to purchase contacts with you, and you cannot hold the prescription simply because we are going somewhere else for the contacts." She responded with, "whatever." I then told her to look forward to a review within the next half hour and she responded with, "sure, whatever, bye." As a professional who has built a career in branding, marketing strategies and building companies with dynamic company cultures, I can say the safest strategy for InFocus Vision would be to make some employee changes. Louise is a perfect example of why some businesses are incapable of true growth. If you cannot grow your employees, you cannot grow your business. Simply put, if this is the face of your company, your brand ambassador, then you will continue to suffer as a business. This was my 1st visit to this office. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I really liked my Doctor. She is nice, informative and funny. She was helpful in making decisions about my eye care. This was overall one of the best eye Doctor experiences I have had. I look forward to coming back!!! read more

Attempted to not release my contact prescription stating I had to physically return to the office, and sign a release form. Fortunately, I was able to research and find out that this is illegal, and they are required to release prescriptions upon completion of fitting. After notifying front desk that they are legally required to release my prescription, they promptly provided it through email. They are receiving 1 star due to the unnecessary inconvenience they are putting customers through (I'm pretty sure I'm not the first), and/or lack of front desk training. read more

First time visit today. Overall, the staff was friendly and professional, I was given my prescription only. I then asked receptionist for test results, so then she messaged Dr. Trang Dao, and asked if I could get a copy of my test results. She was told that it was $25 charge. I was shocked by that, in my opinion that confirms this isn't a place that cares about the patient just the dollar. The doctor wasn't even courteous enough to come back out to explain that to me herself. That changed my entire view of the place. I know for a fact that isn't normal practice. Just went with a friend the day before to another eye place and they provided printed results without asking. Any doctor that gives an exam should be able to provide you a copy of test results. read more

My initial appointment was great. This office has the latest technology and the doctors are very knowledgeable. However, my recent visit was awful. One of the assistants at the front desk has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called before I came in and she answered the phone saying, "Hello, yes?" No company name. No greeting. No manners. And she was just as unpleasant when I came in. I'm not sure if it was because of the language barrier, that maybe I mistook her trying to communicate for attitude. But either way, I left out and I don't plan to ever return again. read more

I've worn glasses for 23 years. When I go for an annual eye appointment, I expect the eye doctor to find the prescription which makes my vision sharp and clear. At my first exam the other day, the male doctor did not care at the end of the exam that I told him the letters were still blurry. He said, "you're seeing 20/20". I responded, "just because I can see the letters doesn't mean I'm seeing clearly." He stood by his prescription and I didn't "fight" it since I could come back within 30 days. When I received my glasses about 10 days later, I immediately knew when I put them on that the distance portion of the right progressive lens was too weak. I called to schedule a new appointment. The person I spoke with on the phone said the Dr likes his patients to wear the glasses for a week so I could get used to the progressive lenses. I explained that my left lens allowed me to see clearly, while the right lens did not. Progressive lenses may be new to me, but I wasn't calling about my mid or near vision. Those aspects of the lens were fine. What was not fine was the distance vision of the right lens. I got firm and said I would not wait a week knowing that the prescription was wrong and I needed the next available appt. She scheduled a follow up for me begrudgingly. When I arrived the next day, the girls at the front desk had clearly discussed my call and could barely contain their despisement as they glanced at one another sideways. (Let me just say that yes, I had to get firm and demand an appointment, but only because the week wait would have been a waste of my time.) Back to the appt...When the female dr came to the exam room, after checking my vision, she said the prescription the prior doctor made was exactly what I was testing as that day, to which I replied, "and yet...my vision is still blurry." She went on to explain that I don't just look out of one eye, and with both eyes open, I could see better than 20/20. Again, this was not my point. I am not paying and using my vision insurance to see "good enough". I am not legally blind. Is it too much to assume that I should be able to leave a doctor's office with crystal clear vision? I don't think it's too much because I've done this every year for 23 years and my other doctors were able to get me to see sharp and clear. When I pressed the dr on this, she asked if I wanted her to relook at the back of my eye to see if she saw anything there. I said, "no", and began to cry at this point. "What I want is to see clearly, which I don't think is too much to ask." She basically just gave up and said, "well, I can prescribe what you had for your right eye in your previous glasses", as if I was happy with that prescription. I wasn't, which is why I had scheduled an exam with them in the first place. I will never return, and I will tell others that if you're good with seeing "just ok," InFocus is the place for you. However, if you expect your glasses to make your vision crystal clear, you definitely should not waste your time and money there, they CLEARLY don't know how. read more
