Missed my eye exam last year, my fault, scared to get Covid. I've been seeing Dr Robinson going on 5 years or more. It's always been a positive experience here. He is very thorough and explains everything. I've never felt rushed, and he answers all my questions. When it comes to my eyesight, teeth and hair color, I am not bargain shopping EVER. Some complain about his pricing??? I can't complain. My son bought a home in Waxahachie and it's never been cheap to shop, or have services rendered in the Gingerbread Capital Homes of Texas. It's no different then North Dallas. However I personally feel Dr Robinson can solve any issue that one might have. I haven't had any, but if I did I am sure he would explain it to my satisfaction. Two older blonde ladies at the front obviously hate their job. Bad vibe from the start. Didn't greet me, nor make me feel confident about my appt. I work in healthcare and this is not how you act or treat your patients. Dr was alright, he saw me for like 5 minutes and prescribed me medication. Will not be back! read more

Excellent experience! The front office staff were polite and checked us in promptly. Dr Robinson was friendly and professional. My daughter is trying contacts for the first time and he was patient and when we did have to return he explained the different options and benefits of the different types of contacts. They also have several specials going on which help out with cost as well. read more

Dr Robinson great!!! glasses other side horrible! Got new prescription and they ordered new lenses. Called to say they were in. Wrong size! We need your frames also they said. Was only pair I had. Had to go home and find old pair from 13 years ago just to wear and glue side back on. Going on two weeks and called we called and said the glasses were in. Go there to find out they aren't. I moved to Waxahachie 3 years ago, got new insurance, and needed a new eye doctor. After reading reviews for the places in town, I selected to go to Vision Source. They took my insurance, the call to make the appointment went well, and I was excited to go in. My 1st experience (2018) was... interesting. My actual appointment went excellently. I was extremely impressed by the technology the office had, the front staff were great, and Dr. Robinson was awesome as well. My mom has a genetic eye disease and he reassured me that I'm not showing any signs, so it was really nice. Now, I went in expecting to order glasses from Warby Parker. I've always wanted glasses from them and they had recently partnered with my insurance so my frames, no line bifocal lenses, anti scratch and anti glare would only be $10. I don't know how the math works out there, but I knew that was what I wanted to do for actual glasses. They didn't know this, but at that time that was honestly all that I could afford. When my appointment was over, I was ushered into the glasses portion of the office. I was told to look around while they wrote my prescription. I did what any young adult would do, try on some frames, and at this point I was approached by a glasses saleswoman. She told me those looked great, brought me to a desk, and began to sell them to me. Listen, I've worked sales, I know the name of the game, and I was getting hardcore sold. She writes a bunch of numbers down, crosses them out, and does a lot before settling on a price of $160. I didn't want to tell her I was going to another place out of politeness, but after 5 minutes of pressure to swipe my card and knowing I didn't have the money I told her I planned on going to Warby Parker. The entire mood changed. She went from selling me to being angry. She took her pen, hit the $160 multiple times and told me to explain to her how that works. My insurance only did this and that and like I said above I didn't know how it all worked but they were partnered with my insurance and that's how it worked on their end. I was extremely uncomfortable and upon asking 3 times she finally relented and gave me my prescription, and I was on my way. I remember calling my parents and explaining how uncomfortable and unprofessional that was. This left a sour taste in my mouth, but the next summer I needed new frames and elected to go back to Vision Source again (2019). I decided that it was a one time fluke and everything leading up to the sales lady went well so I would just avoid the glasses store at all costs. This time I went in and was going to tell Dr. Robinson I wanted my prescription and leave before they had the opportunity to sell me in there. My appointment finishes and I do just that. I tell him I can't afford my insurance's copay for the no line bifocals and plan on going to Warby Parker again. This time HE got angry with me. He looked at me and said, "That's why I'll be dropping your insurance. Insurances like yours is why people like me go out of business." Listen, I understand most eye doctors make their money off of glasses sales, but it was EXTREMELY unprofessional to take it out on me. I'm not my insurance. And if he was intending on me never coming back, he assured that. I received a post card asking me to come back this summer and it reminded me I meant to share my experience. Also, no. I will never be returning to this establishment and I hope everyone else is wary before visiting as well. read more

Suffice to say, my final experience with this provider was not good. Let me preface this review by stating that i haven't worn glasses before and I travel for work, a lot. I scheduled a visual exam well in advance, made the appointment, all went well. We discussed life style options and was convinced the tri focal lens was the best option. Basically an all-in-one lens to cover near and far sightedness. Frames were picked out and lens ordered, so many weeks to get the glasses in. All good, no hurry, I wasn't going to be back in town during their business hours for a while. Upon receiving my new glasses, my vision was blurry and staff told me my eyes needed time to adjust. They checked the lens and said all was good, installed properly, made per work order and my eyes just needed to adjust. I finally figured it out. They cut 1 lens 180 from the other. In other words, reading part of lens was in the upper area on left lens and lower on the right lens. Far sightedness the same. Glasses reordered, no big deal. I gave them plenty of time to correct because.....I travel a lot. New glasses come in, put them on and now get to experience trifocal transition lenses. I struggled with the adjustment while trying them on in the office. Look high in the lens for far sight correct, look through the bottom for reading, etc. The catch is you have to move your head, NOT turn your eyes as there is no correction out of the lens "center". Turning your eyes left/right will not work. Again I was encourage to take them home, give my eyes and self time to adjust. Wore the glasses a week, experience not good. You have to crank your head up to use the reading lens. In 20 minutes, your neck is strained and gets sore. Looking through the top of the lens out, line of sight is good but your peripheral is blurry. This is was a very nausea experience now for me. Wearing them 1-2 weeks didn't make a difference at all. I had been told that if I couldn't adjust, I could come back and move to readers OR farsighted set. I only agreed to take this trial time because I had the option to do something else. So, after wearing them 1-2 weeks, off a week, back on, repeat a couple of times, I decided to-take them back. After all this and when it fit "my" schedule, I took them back for 1 of the replacement options. Well, today I was told that the lab only allowed returns within 30 days. Would have been nice to know up front. I would have never agreed to take the glasses and "get use to them for a week or two" because.....I travel a lot. So, $250 down the drain with this experience. The people are nice, no complaints there. But their customer service, identifying an individuals needs are beyond lacking. Good luck everyone who goes here read more
