I had the worst experience with a representative of TSO ever I have never been treated, spoken to or yelled at by anyone as I was by Claudia from TSO. I am in customer service and if I had addressed someone as she addressed me yesterday I would not have a job. I spent almost $600 dollars for glasses and exams and the glasses are not correct. When I called to advise they were not correct the disrespectful conversation erupted. Very disappointed. The Doctors phenomenal, other care I received outstanding. This experience not acceptable. I just want a refund so that I can move forward. read more

What an exceptionally run business. The doctor (Dr DiMaggio) was great doing my exam...very thorough. The girl who helped pick out my glasses was fantastic really friendly. Can't remember her name but I remember she said she lives down in Granbury. My wife had the exact same experience I did. She said the doctor(Dr Nguyen) was wonderful the girl who helped her with the fitting etc was very nice....when we walked in the door the Reception area employees were very nice and professional...what a wonderful job they do hiring and training. read more

While I do not hold the office responsible for my confusion (showing up 45 minutes late because we thought our appointment was at a different time) I do hold the office responsible for the consistent rudeness you receive from the front desk staff. The woman at the desk today was so incredibly rude that even our children commented in the car and how she 'needed to learn manners'. This has been a repetitive experience for a long time (we have been utilizing TSO for over ten years) that we chose to ignore but today we are instead choosing to learn from this and will be switching to a completely different practice. And, while it is only a loss of four patients (so I doubt they'll actually care), I do want to post this review as a warning to other potential patients who are looking at TSO as an option for eye care. read more

Came in to order glasses. The 2 women at the front desk were very pleasant. A different person approached me asking if I needed any help. I said that I wanted to pick out some frames. My insurance would cover $150 for frames and 20% over that amount. The employee stated that those glasses were all in the back (which I was not allowed to go to) and the employee would have to bring some out to me. She also said that all of the frames out front were more expensive then what my insurance would cover. Talk about discrimination! As the employee came back to the front with both hands full of frames I was talking to myself saying how stupid this was. She said excuse me? And I replied that I was not talking to her. I said just forget it; I am leaving. Not that I could not afford the "name brand" frames out front but why should I have to when there were perfectly good frames in the back? I was informed by another Optometrist's office that by law those particular frames were supposed to be out front where people could get to them. read more

Update - Changed from 1 star because a day or two after I called their offices, one of the owners of the practice called to apologize and correct any issues. I appreciate the follow up and desire to make everything right. Hopefully my first experience was just a one-off and not the norm. I went in for an eye exam and was told there was no charge as my insurance covered it 100%. During the exam I was told I needed corrective lenses and was asked about contacts and glasses. I was given a couple of contact lens samples to try. When I left to check out, I was told I needed to pay $120 for the contact lens fitting. Very disappointed and surprised to say the least that a charge of that amount was not discussed or even mentioned there would be a fee prior to checking out. And even more disappointing, I went to try the lens the next day and saw it expired 2017/06 (2 years ago)...apparently patient safety is not a primary concern, nor patient satisfaction. My daughter and I will find another place to go. read more

TSO Mansfield is exceptional! I happened across their website about a year ago and decided to go in for the first eye exam in over five years. Dr. Prapta is very knowledgable and ensures you are always comfortable. I appreciate that he takes the time to sit with you and be completely thorough in his exams. I have a hard time focusing with my left eye, as it tends to be kind of lazy, and he never rushes through. The office is well kept and they're very quick in getting in orders. Contacts take one day and glasses take about five days. They will also give you trial pairs of contacts to try and are so patient as you try to put them in your eyes for the first time. I think the whole staff is excellent and quite patient and I've never had a single problem. I would definitely recommend them, and have recommended them, to many people. read more

Conveniently located off 287, this TSO's office space is a clean, professional, and no-frills kind of place. I don't remember much about the waiting area, as I was seen almost immediately but I vividly remember Dr. Nguyen. She had the joy in her profession and the interest in her patients that are characteristic of a newly hired graduate (which she told me she was). Hopefully, she'll maintain her passion and humor years and years from now because I don't plan on "seeing" any other optometrists as long as she's in the area. read more

I had just gotten a prescription for new eyeglasses that morning but their optical department doesn't take my insurance (a little something that they failed to tell me) so I went to TSO in Mansfield...I called the number on the door and explained that I had a new prescription but I need to choose new glasses...I was told that I need an appointment...I said, 'just to choose new glasses?" She put me on hold for 5 minutes to ask an optometrist which I thought was stupid but I waited. She came back and told me that the next appointment open was at 2:00! It was 1:30 and I was sitting outside their door! I said," do you mean that I cannot walk in your door and choose a new pair of eyeglasses?!" "Yes." I told them that they evidently didn't need the business...bye. She said "ok, bye." What a stupid way to run a business...make a customer wait outside running the AC in their car or what...drive around for 30 minutes?! What a stupid way to treat a customer. read more

I got my eye exam done there last october and I'm just waiting my time out to get it done somewhere else. I tried to get glasses and my contacts and just had a bad experience, didn't care much for the Dr that did my exam which was a Asian young man, kept trying to get me in a bifocal and when i tried the contacts it was worse than using my old glasses had to go back not even a hour after leaving and get fitted for a different pair of contacts and they were no better really except i could see the street sign at least. i could see that before i went in and got a exam with my old glasses just not as far, so i paid for a service that sucked actually, i didn't get my new glasses because if they were like the contacts then they would of been wrong to and that would of just pissed me off more. I would not recommend this TSO to anyone. read more

I do not recommend this facility due to the complete lack of customer service skills of Tommy, the business manager. I am wondering if Dr. Cameron Smith knows the poor business tactics being used by his business manager, because Dr. Smith and the rest of the staff were very nice. I gave my insurance information when I called to make my appointment. I gave my insurance information when I checked in at the time of my appointment. And, I gave them my insurance information at the time of check out, paying a balance of $193.00 that was not covered by my insurance plan. My husband went to pick up his glasses and my contacts and they wanted him to pay an additional $20.00 for the contacts...the rational being "they can't sell contacts for a loss". My husband became frustrated trying to negotiate with Tommy the business manager, so he did not pay the extra $20.00 or pick up my contacts that day. The facility was supposed to call me regarding the additional charge, but I never received a phone call. My husband had to return a few days later regarding his glasses, and picked up my contacts after paying NOW an additional $100.00! I called the business manager to discuss why they keep increasing the price. The business manager stated that they have to charge more for the contacts since I was using Davis Vision Insurance, the usual charge for a box of contacts is $95.00, but since I was using my insurance, they charge $120.00 a box. My question to him was..."if I told you when I made my appointment, when I checked in for my appointment, and when I checked out from my appointment...you had every opportunity to charge me $120.00 per box and I would have never known of the deception...BUT, you increased the charge 'twice' after the fact, making it very bad customer service! I requested he give me my contact prescription and I can get it filled online. He refused to give me the prescription, stated he would refund my money and it would be like I never had an exam "making me whole again" is how he put it. The problem being, they already filed and got paid by Blue Cross Blue Shield for my eye exam! My husband refused to go back and get refund after I talked with business manager, he never wants to go back into that place! The business manager did agree to email my contact prescription, since Blue Cross Blue Shield had paid the claim for eye exam. This "whole" situation is just BAD customer service...if you like changing and increasing prices every time you go to pick up your products, then take a chance and go here! read more
