4 tries to get glasses and they still aren't right!!! Most recent exam was in November 2020. Finally got the correct Rx in the glasses in March after 4 different attempts...and they still weren't completely right but I'm so tired of dealing with staff who can't get the order correct. This last time the readers are way lower than the staff marked in the store....and I argued with how how high up I needed them to start with. If your are paying over 300$ for LENSES, shouldn't you get what you NEED?????? Misleading and incorrect information every time. I was told progressive lenses were the only option since they don't make trifocals. If I couldn't get used to the progressives, I could get bifocals and a refund on the difference. Never happened. They kept getting the wrong Rx in my glasses every time I went back and of course another 2 week plus wait. Staff were nice, just incompetent. And when a customer comes in on crutches and is told to wait in a long line, not offered a chair to sit in, ya gotta wonder if the people who work there really care about the people they are supposed to serve. Every single time I put my glasses on I get angry about a 700$ bill for glasses that were scratched after 3 months. I'll NEVER go back to Staton again. read more

If I could give your business zero stars I would. I visited your location at 2601 Louisiana Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87110 on 7/13/18 for a contact lens exam. I had a 5:45PM appointment which took about an hour and a half, nearly two hours to get done. That is a lot of my personal time for you to soak up for something as simple as a contact lens exam. Nothing was said about a free trial pair of contacts. Nothing was said about the doctor selecting a contact lens for me, for which I could ONLY purchase that contact lens. No one told me the doctor, and not my self would be choosing my contacts for me. In fact the last gentlemen I dealt with at approximately 7:20PM assured me that purchasing my contacts from 1-800-Contacts would not be a problem. I ordered my contacts the evening of 7/31 and uploaded my prescription to 1-800-Contacts and shortly after placing my order I received an email that they would need to contact the doctor to ask for permission to change my prescription since a specific contact lens was part of the prescription. I thought Ok well certainly the doctor will allow that to happen, but then I was wrong, my order was cancelled and my money was refunded. So then I called Stanton to speak with a manager, I asked for the manager immediately when the first gentlemen answered the phone, he said he could help me, so I told in no uncertain terms how unhappy and how unacceptable this transaction has been so far. I was put on hold and send to 2 other people who received the exact same explanation of my being extremely unhappy, 3 total who all "sympathized" BEFORE I got to talk to the Manager, a further waste of time, don't send me to layers of poor customer service who can't do anything for me. The manager told me he couldn't do anything for me, couldn't change the script, offered some empty apologies, and could only offer me another exam that would fix this issue. Absolutely irritated at this point I agreed to go in on Friday 8/3/18 at 11AM to do this, took the morning off of work and now at 10AM I get a phone call that the doctor called in to work and I need to reschedule my appointment. How does Monday work for you she asks? So now here we are, I'm going to take my 3rd day partial day off because of this companies inability communicate their practices that are bordering on outright lying to get business and costing me money by forcing me to take more time off or settling for contact lenses that I don't want and have never worn. This is the one and only review I have ever written on Yelp or any other site and I only write it because their service is so horrible, their practices are so disingenuous, I hope I can save someone else from going to this god awful shit show that pretends to be a business serving the public. read more

Made an appointment for Saturday at 345. Came and waited about an hour just to be rescheduled. I ended up picking glasses and paying for everything. Had to come back Monday for the exam and the lady wanted me to pay again and had attitude when I questioned why. Then gossiped that I was "rude" and rolled my eyes. My appointment was at 315 and I wasn't seen until after 430. I was told my glasses would be ready in 45 mins but I never got the call. I called after 3 today and came to pick them up. I get home to realize there is a crack in one of the lenses. Never coming back here and I strongly do not recommend you come here either. read more

This place is a disaster. We ordered glasses for my daughter. The order was delayed due to COVID-19 (not their fault). We called the office repeatedly trying to get someone to answer to give us an update. Nobody would answer. Not only the WORST opticians I've ever made the mistake of trying to use but by far the worst customer service imaginable, and THEN they messed up my glasses! 1st - The 'Free Eye Exam' is NOT free! It's $50 through the independent optometrist that shares the building. Then they charge the difference, about $25, for the frames and lenses. 2nd WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN WAL MART!! They told me my glasses would be ready on Monday, so I called Monday evening to check and they said they would look and call me back. They never called. I waited til Wednesday and called back. They said they would check and call me back. They never called. I waited a couple hours and called back. They said they would check and call me back. They never called. I left 2 messages with my phone number asking them to check and call me back, they never called. I finally went into the store and asked directly and they said they would have my glasses ready the next day (Thursday). I called on Thursday and they said they would check and call me back. They said they would check and call me back. They never called. I finally got someone on the phone Thursday afternoon who said my glasses were done and ready to be picked up. I got to the store and discovered that they were NOT done so I waited. They finally brought my glasses out and rather than 1 pair of distance and 1 pair of reading glasses they brought out 2 pairs of distance glasses with the WRONG prescription. These are by far the rudest, most incompetent people I have ever had the intense displeasure of having to deal with. I couldn't be more disgusted. These people consistently LIED about everything including how much they were charging me. I can guarantee that I will never go back nor will I ever let anyone I know go there. We just walked out. I set an appointment two days ago via telephone for 9:15 for my daughter to get contact lenses. I received a confirmation voicemail confirmation of 9:15. We got to the store a bit early and when we checked in we were told the appointment time was 9:30. Then they tile me they wouldn't be able to do the appointment until 10:00 due to staffing. When we were finally called forward to pay the desk associate told me they didn't have the know about the promotion and didn't have any of the lenses specific to the promotion we set the appointment for. Three mistakes in one appointment is just too many. I was not willing to entrust my daughter's vision to this disorganized store, so we left and went elsewhere. read more

My wife and I had the worst customer service. We ordered her glasses in late December We were told that it would take up to two weeks to get the glasses in. We never got a call or update. We got the first pair after three weeks. I would call for an update and they never followed through with a call back. We left a Costco and called for an update at the same time. We drove for twenty minutes and got to the eyeglass place on hold. No one ever picked up the phone. The second pair are still not done more than a month of waiting. Update: I followed the instructions mentioned below about emailing reviews@stantonoptical.com on February 6. I didn't read the reviews of the place until after I placed my order, but I would not have ordered the glasses if I had. If you notice, they post a similar apologetic response after every negative review, and request they contact the business to make it better, I assume. My guess this is purely lip service, and they will never reply to email. I will update this review when I hear from them. read more

Over the course of three days, and three appointments, I've spent eight hours in the Stanton Optical waiting room. Thus far, I haven't seen a doctor yet. They seem to book a patient every 15 minutes, which is fairly standard in my experience, but, their doctor consistently shows up late and is taking about an hour per exam. The result is that I'm typing this review at 3:40 on my third day hanging out in the waiting room while I wait for my 12:45 appointment to start...sometime. Glasses are a touch over other local prices, but the two for one deal they offer might make that worth it if I ever get them. read more

The signs out front can really catch one's eye, too bad Stanton cannot help you see those signs. The bright signs outside say "Two for $79 -with a free eye exam" which is great! That is, until you get inside and it's a half truth. More on that later. The people upfront are friendly and helpful. They give the place a welcoming vibe that you will soon be betrayed by. I went to the back where, once again it's presentable and the assistant is kind. The doctors on site are also helpful and cooperative, but evidently cannot do their job. I am no expert when it comes to eyes and how they work, but I would think that they would know how to give an accurate measurement for an eye prescription. Not only did I have to go back so they could correct the prescription (was too strong and everything was blurry so I developed severe headaches and nausea) but Stanton messed up three to four times on the prescription. I understand that getting a new prescrition requires getting used to and one's eyes need to naturally adjust, but this was too much. Back to the half lie; It says Two [pairs of glasses] for $79. The glasses included in that particular deal are unbelievably ugly. Disgusting hues of green and orange on ridiculously large and strangely shaped glasses. They looked like something out of the bad side of the seventies. Since I wouldn't want to be caught dead in any of those pairs, I chose from a large, beautiful variety of frames. Again, the only glasses included in the deal are the hideous ones, meaning that we had to fork out over a hundred for each pair of the preferred frames. After the whole dilemma, we (my family) ended up forking out over three hundred dollars for the frames and percription. In summary, they messed up my prescription numerous times, had a horrifying display of glasses that were part of the actual deal, and milked the consumer for everything they can spare but the one upside is that the employees were nice. If there was a possibility for 0 stars that's what this place would be. Horrible customer service, I should have read reviews before but I just moved here and was in a bind. I ended up being there for 3 HOURS and never left with a prescription. It's a virtual Skype exam, not once while I was there was I asked any questions about my eyes, contacts anything like that. I kept being sent to person after person for different things, sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes in between each exam then after my exam I told them that I usually use astigmatism lenses and they had to take me back in for pictures because I didn't realize that I had one. (probably because I didn't see an actual doctor) they finally took me upfront and some guy started whispering some deals about what contacts to buy for a year, it was the most uncomfortable situation. I waited over two hours for the "doctor" to write me a prescription and I finally just walked out. I never heard a word from them. I wouldn't trust what prescription they gave me anyways. They advertise a "Free exam" but it's not free. It's 45 dollars. They "discount" the 45 if you buy two pairs from them, but they keep your sales tax. I asked them to explain to me why that is, and they said "we can't give you back the tax". How can you tax zero dollars??? All the 2 for 69 frames are from the 80's and they have maybe 6 pairs to chose from. When I tried them on all the employees said they didn't like them. If the employees don't even like them, why are they selling them? Lenses are not included. One of the sets I ordered are blurry, the others are fine. When I told them they said I am probably not used to them. So I have one working pair. I asked on Saturday if I could pick them up Sunday. They said yes. Went Sunday and they are closed. WTF. They don't know when they are open I guess. I probably won't go back in the future. I don't appreciate false advertising. I usually go to eye glass world. I wished I would have stayed with them. The only reason I'm giving one star is there's no way to give negative or no stars. Where do I start?! 1. Made an appointment for my son over the phone for the east side location. Arrived early. Walked in, smells like cigarette smoke and is dingy and dirty. 2. Was asked what sort of appointment we were there for; contact lenses. Was asked if we could reschedule because their slit lamp was down and they couldn't do a comprehensive exam. Then the option was given to "transpose a prescription." In other words, they guess on what the script is by the glasses script. So we found out after that it's not accurate and potentially harmful. 3. Went to waiting room where there was 15+ other people waiting. Asked if we were being seen at our appointment time or would we have to wait behind everyone else; "you'll have to wait behind everyone else." Asked what's the point of the appointment time? "Corporate makes those appointments and we have no access to those appointments they schedule." As she nervously clicks on the computer. 4. I have no idea what sort of scams they're running but after reading other reviews, this experience wasn't unique. I'll NEVER recommend this "business" to anyone. "Eye exam and two pairs of glasses for $69.00" I asked to see the frame options, and the salesgirl led me past six or seven entire walls of nice (expensive) frames, to a corner, literally behind a post, and pointed to 10 frames at the bottom: a truly sad and tiny cluster of hideous misfit and mutant frames, and the only ones included with the BS promotion. Hey! take your pick out of these TEN awful frames, Including giant fluorescent orange ones somehow left over from the 70's. Really? When I said the promotion was misleading, she said, "Oh, but all our other frames are buy one get one free." Which is apples and oranges. And also, the textbook definition of bait and switch. I'm giving one star only because I have to to write this review. We waited over 2 hours from our appointment time, and while sitting there they were very rude to an older man sitting there. They said they cant give him an eye exam because he cant read or write. He still knew letters just not reading words. There so rude and will never be going back. My husband glasses lens fell out 5 hours after getting them we live an hour away and all they said is we have to go back there is nothing they can do and hung up. read more

A few things need to be said here. 1) I've needed glasses since age 10, so I'm familiar with what goes on in the frames, fitting, lenses and exam process. 2) I've got years of marketing and managerial experience in retail. That being said, let's start with the initial hour. This hour was comprised of my father in-law referring my husband and I to this place. The place looked beautiful, outside and inside. We walked in, aware of the " 2 Pair of Glasses for $69 + FREE Eye Exam" special. That's what we wanted and, considering that New Mexico is only one of two states that does NOT allow adults over 18 to have vision and dental insurance, this was our best bet financially and for glasses. Upon walking in, we went to go set up walk-in appointments for our eye exam. The eye exam and puff test took about 45 minutes total. The eye doctor was very friendly. We now know why. Between the puff test and the exam itself, we were told to "go pick out some frames to expedite the process". Naturally, we did. At this point, we were still under the delusion that we were not going to be screwed over. The salesman who spoke with us (who shall remain unnamed) was the pushiest salesman I've ever encountered. Ever. In 32 years. He was DEMANDING that we get memberships to their "FREE FRAMES CLUB". He even joked about how he would "do anything to get that money". I've met some people who were kind of pushy, but they had nothing on this guy. Hour two consisted mostly of picking out and comparing frames. We were told that the glasses that were $69 each were the ones to choose. The way this works is that you get two frames. They will, however, charge you for the more expensive one and give you the less expensive pair free. We weren't told until MUCH later that the glasses we had chosen had to have a BLUE tag. They couldn't have a green tag, an orange tag, a pink tag or a white tag. They had to have a BLUE tag (this is very important). Even if they cost $69, the tag HAD to be blue to qualify for the special. After looking around the entire place for an hour and 15 minutes and discovering the "blue tag" key, we were shown the blue tags. At this point, even though every wall is covered in frames, there were four for men and about four for women. For my husband, he got to choose from awful brown plastic frames and a pair of gold plated flimsy wire frames. So, he chose to get two of those. For myself, my choices were a plastic frame of black/pink (not TOO terrible), black wire rims that were inherently too small for my face OR (these were hilarious) plastic frames bigger around than a 16 oz. glass and looked like something my late grandmother would wear out of obligation. Naturally, I chose the black/pink plastic frames. Upon getting our SECOND quote (the first one would have been over $400 after the eye exam, lenses and frames), we were charged a LOT more than we bargained for. Here's the cost: $96.30 for BOTH eye exams (yes, we were charged for those and they insisted that they would defer the cost of the exams to cover the lenses.. I'll get to that in a minute) $25.68 for my husband's glasses (a ray of hope?) $68.48 for my glasses (they had to, because my prescription was strong, file down the edges so that it didn't look like coke bottles) The grand total = $190.46 I know you're thinking, "Wait. They said for two pairs of GLASSES, right? What?!" You couldn't be more correct. This falls under the "FALSE ADVERTISING" claim. Anyone who is anyone knows that you cannot legally state "glasses" if you mean "FRAMES". So, we were charged for the frames AND the lenses... not for glasses. So, for four pairs of INCREDIBLY cheap glasses, we paid almost $200. That equals about $50 per pair. Honestly, those frames weren't worth more than $10 a piece. Seriously. So, the lesson of the day is simple: If it looks too good to be true, it is. Also, get a pair of frames you like from a second-hand store OR from the local drug store. Take those in instead. It costs less. P.S. Due to our astigmatism, we were told it would take TWO WEEKS to get our glasses. We'll see how THAT goes. read more

I wish I came to Yelp before stopping in at Stanton Optical in ABQ Uptown area because I would have saved an hour of my life. I already had my prescription from my eye doctor, so I cannot review the eye doctor. I came in because I saw the "2 Pair of Glasses for $69" signs and because its a convenient location for me. A salesman immediately approached me, showed me the glasses on special, and I saw I wouldn't like anything for the 2 for $69 price (a limited selection but not surprising because its what's on special). I spent 30+ minutes looking at full-priced frames and then the salesman , who was nice enough, helped me eliminate most of my choices for "not looking good" on me. I was under the impression it was the customer's job to decide what does and doesn't look good on them. I could see some assisted advice, but it was unlike any other glasses shopping experience. He didn't ask to hear from me; he told me, nay man-splained, what he thought. I had already planned to only scope out some finalists, write them down, and come back later in the week when I had more time to decide and make a purchase. I told the salesman this, and he was understanding. I am a muser when it comes to decision making so I was upfront about this, and I truly planned to come back in a few days, even coordinated with that salesman to be sure he would be there to get the commission of my sales. I was planning to go when the sales manager came in to try to "close the deal" for the salesman. What he did instead was ruin an already average experience. This sales manager's strategy was the most terrible encounter of 1970s-inspired car sales that I've ever experienced. I seriously thought such aggressive sales were only in the movies. And these are for glasses frames. The sales manager tried over 4 times to hard sell me, went so far as dropping the price of the frames I liked to the 2 for $69 special (I explained it was not the price, I wanted time), aggressively tell me how I should buy today, described how his 5,000 frames were the best in the business and I couldn't find anything better, and just plain did not listen to a single thing I said. His response was just to be aggressive and undermine any kind of relationship his salesman had built with me. I would have come back to buy glasses later in the week. Now I never will go there, and just writing this review makes me feel fired up again. Save your time, energy, and try another place unless you like being bullied into buying glasses. read more

Very dissatisfied customer! I had an appt a month ago with Stanton Optical and wanted contacts for an upcoming vacation. I disagreed with the "virtual diagnosis" as to what I needed and was told, by a supposed "Mgr", they would check into obtaining the correct contacts for my needs. He took my prescription paper, wrote down my number and said he would get back to me on Monday (this was on a Saturday). He never followed up. Vacation came and went, no contacts, no call back. I called a weekend after my return and was told a "Mgr" would call me back, no contacts, now I no longer had a prescription and still no call back. Now here I am, a month later, chasing a "Mgr" to get an answer as to, where is my corrected prescription and I still have NO CONTACTS!!! No call back, no follow up, no prescription, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! This "virtual Dr", pop-up retail optical stand is no substitute to actual competent, properly trained staff and actual Dr! A lot of "Mgrs" but no Dr to follow up with! I received better service from the cashier at Walgreens than I have received at Stanton Optical! If you want proper eye care, do not go to them, they are no better than a kiosk at the mall! I will keep posted any updates but don't make the same mistake I did, go to a real optical Dr for your eye care. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! I can't stress this enough. The quality of their frames and lens is extremely poor. Their customer service is poor. After you have paid for your frames, you will wait an hour plus when you have to pick them up and God forbid they don't fit. You will wait an hour every time they try to refit them. They never called to tell me my glasses were in and they put the wrong lenses in my frames. When I went in to ask for a refund because I do not have the time to wait to fix their mistakes every time she said all she could do was exchange them for another pair. These guys have great products and great deals but their customer service is awful!!! I mean like really bad. And I went there at least 4 times giving them a chance. 1st- they were vacuuming way before they closed, and that was really annoying because I couldn't hear anything other than that. 2nd, in optometrist's office area the receptionist was very rude, kept messing up my appointment time. She said she fixed it but didn't, so when I went in during my appointment it was still wrong! 4th, one of the guys in white wouldn't put down his Redbull, which was rude because it was like he didn't care about my problems. And every time I went in, they just kept ignoring me and offered no help. I had to stand right in front of them and interrupt them talking to their colleagues. Never getting my glasses here ever again! After the first mess up I should've known not to go back there, but I decided to give them another chance yet again they messed up!! I decided to call and they had me on hold for 30 minuets before I decided to hang up that's just not right!!! A couple months ago my friend and I went to go get some glasses and we had told them we were going out of town and the shipped us the glasses, the left some behind because they broke the lenses, oh and because of them we had to leave a day after to our trip ugh, so we got back a couple of months after and went to pick them up and they said they sent them back to the lab because they been there to long, just a horrible experience there the old manager was rude he told us, sorry you have to deal with me because all problems go through me anyway! like who says that to a customer that just bought a bunch of glasses and sunglasses from you? Like are you serious?? The new people were nice when I went back but they just left me on hold for 30 min and I'm getting just fed up, I have no patience for this place anymore!!! My first appointment was about 9-10 weeks ago. I was there for over four hours!! I ordered three pair of glasses, one being sunglasses. After my insurance I still had to pay over $500.00. I was told to pick up the glasses in two weeks. I was called that they were ready, so I went in (I live 75 miles away). I got there one pair was ready, the sunglasses had clear lenses in them and the 3rd pair was still sitting in the tray without lenses in them. I told the guy helping me that I couldn't see very good out the one pair of glasses that I could take home. He said to give it a couple days and see if it got better. He also said they would fix the sunglasses and make the 3rd pair and mail them to me within week. I had to keep calling and then 2-3 weeks later I got the second pair, same thing couldn't see out of them. I called about the sunglasses and they said they were still there but they would work on them. I made a third trip the office and had to get another exam and found out they made the glasses with the wrong RX. I was told that all three pairs would be mailed out to me within two weeks. I've called over and over again, I get a different answer every time. I was told on Friday June 30th that two pairs were ready and they would be mailed out to me. I called this morning three different times---was finally told all three glasses are sitting there and they will be mailed out today or tomorrow. Will not use this company again!!!! read more

Pathetic excuse for a business. No optometrist on site. Entire exam was done via webcam, had to restart twice due to technical difficulties. Then the prescription for both my contacts and glasses was way off for my left eye. My 3 year old prescription was better. Horrible customer service. Horrible frame selection. Complete joke. Service sucked. The exam is not free. And for the 2 for $59 deal, they had three pairs of glasses to pick from- giant plastic orange ones, giant clear plastic, or giant black. And not cute. So disappointed I paid $50 for an exam with a doctor over Skype, and left with no glasses because the rest were very overpriced. My daughter needed glasses in a hurry, we read the reviews and thought it was worth a visit (reviews were not good), she had an appointment at 12.15pm on a Saturday. We were greeted by a friendly associate and chose the frames within 15 minutes, we were impressed; then it was down hill... I left my daughter at 12.45pm in the store, we expected the eye exam would be 30 minutes and the lenses soon afterwards. My daughter called me at 3.30pm nearly in tears to say the eye exam was completed but they misplaced the frames, the associate who helped her had left for the day, as well as the very friendly manager Michael, who took our money; eventually the frames were found. I picked my daughter up at 4.30pm, still without glasses. She went back about 6pm and collected the glasses. If you need glasses in a hurry, this is not the place to visit. I was impressed with the companies quick reply to my Yelp review. My good thought however were quickly dissolved by their follow up (or lack thereof). While I was finally able to pick up my eyeglasses and service was surprisingly quick I also had concerns about some things I heard/observed while I was there. I also was promised a call from Stantons customer service on a specific day at a specific time which never occurred. Follow up emails to customer service were ignored. And finally their"solution" to my customer service concerns was to promise a $75 "in store credit" towards my next visit. So in reality they had to do nothing (which they did) because I do not intend to return to Stanton and I would advise others to avoid this provider read more

I needed contacts so I googled exams. An advertisement for a free exam here came up. I called to make an appointment. I was told the exam was free. I showed up for the exam and threw my last pair of contacts away as I came in. I was then told the exam was $96. I have to get the exam now. This is a blatant scam. Do not give these people your money. read more

SCAM, Fraudulent, Awful Management, Unorganized, Misrepresentation of Billing Insurance Companies that are listed on their website, and so much more. Please read review below. I would highly suggest not going to Stanton Optical. Over the last two years management has been horrible along with service. I will never go there again. Their advertisements are a complete scam and they are fraudulently billing insurance companies higher than what they quote year. I did not pick up on this last year, but finally did this year. I work for a major company and have Vision Insurance. Even though their website states they accept about 36 insurance companies they still charge a co-payment and actually charge you more than someone without insurance. I spent 5 hours without pay from my company to deal with such disorganization, even with a "manager" and "regional manager" explaining my insurance coverage, their quote, which was to match Costco, not finding proper files and insurance coverage that they promised they would have prior to my appointment, etc. In the last two years I have dealt with my contacts taking a month to arrive due to sending them to the office on 10701 Corrales Road, glasses promised in a day taking up to 2 weeks, saying they price match, which they don't and actually charging my insurance the full amount verses the price match amount. This last visit, I refused for them to charge my insurance company the full amount, which totaled about $70.00 of to my insurance and stated several times this is unethical and fraudulent. The regional manager claimed this is what we do and could not rectify the situation after spending 5 hours of my day after promises and promises the entire time. The most disturbing thing was that both managers Brian (Regional) and Sederick (acting manager) tried to convince an employee Jonathon to submit it to another insurance company, which he refused. This all transpired in front of me for the hours I wasted. Jonathon refused to bypass the system and submit to an insurance I do not belong too (thank goodness for ethical individuals) and as I was there for my afternoon, he was pulled into the office and written up for not being fraudulent. Horrible! And shame on this company to have these standards and individuals that are ethical are reprimanded even in front of patients. I will be contacting the corporate and the HR department at my company, as I am sure they would be interested in knowing about the over billing. The funny part was that the regional manager printed off my statement from last year stating "This is what we charged you last year," even being told I was given the price comparison, which I should have looked closer at what they actually quoted me and what they charged my insurance company. During my lovely afternoon at this office, there were a dozen of patients coming in to complain about having to drive several miles 3 times for the correct glasses prescription, lenses falling out numerous times, over charges, being charge 3 times more having insurance than going to Eye Mart, even though Stanton proclaims they accept insurance, no real "free eye exam," up-charging, promotional deals are a scam, horrible management skills, patients being forgotten about, glasses missing, lied too in regards to same day services taking a month, spending hours in the office even with scheduled appointments, and untrained staff and significant staff turn-over. I would warn consumers to be knowledgeable and read the reviews before you waste your time, resources, and money dealing with a company that obviously should be shut down. I urge consumers that have had the same experiences, which I know are many contact the Better Business Bureau as individuals in New Mexico are being taken advantage off and this is shameful for people seeking medical care. read more

Even with an appointment, I waited for an hour, then my exam was conducted via computer and mirror. The exam lenses I looked through were messy. I waited for my Rx, but it took so long for someone to help me that I was there another two hours. When I got my Rx, it had not changed from the last prescription I had even though I noticed my vision had deteriorated. When I put in the sample contacts, the perscritopn was so off that I saw double and had a headache in ten minutes that made it hard to walk well and impossible to drive (I am legally blind as well). I took the contacts out and was ok, but the contacts were useless and so is the prescription, 1 year of contacts, and new glasses lenses they ordered for me. This was so time-consuming and expensive ($500 with insurance) and the staff was discourteous and pretty much ignored me. I am appalled that this location is still in business and I desperately need a new provider for vision. read more

Went for a appointment and had to be rescheduled because of lack of staff .Paid for frames and lenses and exam in advance because I was told if my frames got sold before I was examined they could not get anymore. On the rescheduled date Stanton called me and said they didn't have doctor could I reschedule agin .I asked for refund and it has been 8 business days and no money yet . read more
