There is a small bleacher area for parents to chill. FEATURES + spline ramp + steps with rails & ledges + flat rail + sloped rail + ledges with steel edges + curbs + funbox with pyramid ledge + benches with steel edges + snake runs + hips almost everywhere you turn + bowl As of our first visit on July 16, 2022, you can see how time and rowdy kids have taken a toll on the rubber surface areas not to mention graffiti everywhere. Seemed a bit trashy in areas. While this is one of the more challenging skate parks that I have brought my 7 and 9-year-olds to, skating here was scary and invigorating for them. A healthy dose of learning. The adults and older kids were all very cool with my little ones. I cannot wait to see what my kiddos learn next. Thanks to all involved for bringing this to Cerritos. TIPS + Free, ample parking is all around with some shade trees nearby. If you can find the tennis courts, you'll find the skate park. + Restrooms are within short walking distance too. There were so many teenagers around the park when I visited, and it made the whole space feel even more lively because you could see them hanging out on the grass, walking around the paths, and using the open areas to take pictures or just relax together. I didn't expect a park to have that kind of youthful energy, but the way the trees, the open fields, and the little activity spots all come together makes it feel like a place where teenagers can be themselves without feeling rushed or watched. I appreciated how easy it was to walk around and enjoy everything without any pressure, and it reminded me of how much I enjoy places that let me feel playful and relaxed at the same time. I only visited Veterans Park a lot of times in my life before making this review, but it left a strong impression on me because of how peaceful and fun it felt, especially with all the teenagers enjoying their time there. It's one of the most enjoyable and welcoming parks I've been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a safe and open place to hang out, take pictures, and feel creative in their own way.
