It's literally a small version private park within a park. I took my kid and his cousins here for GG Christmas & Easter festival that was put together by the city, also city summer camp too. It is big, it has simi small hills, confession section, among others. It's also for rent too. Quite nice and they do have small private parking too.

    Plenty of shaded picnic tables

Visited the Atlantis Play Center today with friends and their kids (ages 3 youngest to 6 oldest). The area is fully enclosed so it's safe for kids to freely roam and run around. There were like 6 different play areas, plenty of shade, awesome seating areas, a lot of grassy areas to sit if you want a picnic, and a splash pad area to help the kids cool off. There is a small cost of $2 per person (as of June 19,2024), which I thought was so reasonable. If you have small children and looking for a safe fun area for the kids to burn off some energy, this is an awesome place. The shaded picnic tables offer plenty of seating. We came on a week day, so it was not too crowded, but it may get more crowded on weekends. Either way though, a great place and plenty of area to play.

My son can't wait to go back.

Walking around the Atlantis Play Center in Garden Grove, you can't help but notice how much care goes into the well-maintained and beautiful landscaping. Admiring and photographing the landscape alone is enough of a reason to come here and pay the $2, cash-only admission fee. They really do take care of the greenery here, and it is worth going just for a nice stroll through it. However, the greenery is just about all that is maintained, and that will become more apparent to you as you walk through the area and observe the playground equipment. The playground equipment was an absolute bummer, and I wish they spent more time and money on maintaining it. All of the slides, monkey bars, swings, and play tunnels were dirty, horribly sun-faded, chipping away, and in many cases covered in bees and red ants. The splash pad, though very compact, is probably the biggest reason to bring your kids here. With all the playgrounds, excluding one, being so small and spread apart you'll be thankful for the splash pad with only one exit if you bring small children. I was thankful for there only being one exit in the park, at least from what I could observe, because it is rare I get to let my son roam near-independently without having to worry about him escaping without me noticing. Overall, there is so much more that could be done with this place, and that is why I give it two stars. From consolidating and properly maintaining the play equipment for a better play experience, to expanding upon the biggest attraction which is the splash pad, I see so much untapped potential going to waste.

This is a fun park. As others have noted, some the of the equipment is a bit old, but my kids didn't complain. Lol. They had such a great time playing at the splash pad. It was nice to finally find one that's actually open again. It's not a huge splash pad, so it's easy to keep your eye on the kids. After we dried the kids off we took a walk around and they played on other stuff. The park area is beautiful and surrounded by different trees with random park/play bits scattered about. Google maps GPS took us to the other side of the entrance by the dog park. Make sure you drive up on Atlantis Way for the entrance side.

Location - Park is a bit hidden to find but if you use GPS its not too bad. Parking - On a busy weekend it can be a bit crazy trying to find parking. Park - Place is pretty chill as they have multiple sections as in Birthday area, water area, slides, and other areas for the kids to play. Admission - I forgot the cost to get in but it was very minimal from what I recall. Crowd - They have a limit on how many can be in the area, but eventhough it was a busy weekend it didnt feel packed at all. Overall its a cool place for the kids to come play, or cool down in the water area or have a bday. I would come back another time and would recommend it.

cool place to go if u wanna just go for a chill walk or bike ride. definitely gonna go here oftenread more

Haster Basin Park, Garden Grove:…read more $25 million. Two years. A facelift meant to turn a drainage ditch into a "recreational haven." They slapped on new soccer fields, jogging trails, shiny exercise stations, and even built a fancy pump station to keep the floodwaters--and maybe the city's reputation--at bay. On paper, it's a glowing civic effort, a love letter to the community. In reality? It's a postcard from the edge of dystopia. Step inside, and the illusion peels off faster than the faded graffiti on the crumbling fitness equipment. The gates are busted, the lake's a floating landfill, and wildlife swims through a soup of plastic and rot, like some grim nature documentary with zero budget for editing. The park's got more trash than a reality TV reunion show and enough drug paraphernalia to open a museum of societal collapse. Irony punches hardest in the form of a gated, compound-like structure smack in the middle--Spanish villa vibes, locked up tight. The most beautiful part of the park, reserved not for the public but for... well, who knows? Maybe the sparkling OC Parks truck parked inside holds the answer. Shiny, pristine, like it rolled off a showroom floor while the park rots around it. A metaphor on wheels. Clusters of people sit around, doing who-knows-what. I work in the homeless space, so no judgment here. But when the vibe feels more "post-apocalyptic gathering" than "community picnic," something's off. Suspicious characters, endless trash piles, and an atmosphere thick with neglect. Garden Grove wanted to hitch its wagon to the Disneyland star, sprucing up areas near the resort while the rest of the city gets left to decay. Haster Basin is the sad proof. It's a park dressed up for a party it wasn't invited to. Consider this review a beacon. I'll be posting it everywhere--tagging Disneyland, Anaheim, and the Garden Grove Council. Because if you're trying to lure tourists from the convention center for a quick jog, they deserve to know they're stepping into a facade. The closer you get to the park, the further you feel from any real sense of care.
