The floor is made of plastic material similar to beer bottle racks, making it non-slippery and great for safety, especially when performing ankle-breaking crossover moves. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 despite it being stunningly beautiful and the only full court available. The issue is that when groups of 10 show up, smaller groups get pushed out with nowhere else to go. After shooting around for a few minutes at half court, my son and I were forced to move aside when 10 people suddenly decided to play full court. This is a public court, so I don't mind sharing. However, with no other full courts in the area, we had no choice but to step off. I would have loved to reserve the next game, but we were there for my son's practice, so the timing wasn't right. Maybe next time we'll join in for some 5-on-5 with the older crowd!

The lake area especially has this peaceful atmosphere that still feels exciting because of all the activity happening around it. I saw teenagers taking photos with the water behind them, and the scenery looked so good that it almost felt like a real outdoor version of those fun, creative photo spots at Funko Hollywood. Everything was free, which makes it even better for teenagers who want a place to hang out, take pictures, and have fun without spending money. I only visited Ralph B. The City of Buena Park recently hosted Easter 2026 here and it was wonderful. The park was large enough for different set ups. Even though there was a great turn out, there was sufficient room to stretch out and enjoy the outdoors. It was nice seeing the park transformed into an event space.

It also has a swimming pool which is something I don't see often at other parks. The park is also a place for summer camps. There are multiple large grassy areas and during the summer it's used to place outdoor stages for events. During the summer there are free concerts every Wednesday during June and July. This is a really nice and big park that has a lot of amenities.

That's quite a lot to offer the community and still be in pretty decent shape. It's probably not always the safest area but it's not that bad. I come here for the racquetball courts. There are 4 courts which cost $10 per hour and there is even a balcony where you can watch the games down below. That's pretty cool but it sucks that if you try to hit off of the back wall your ball may go to another court so be careful. The floors and walls are in good condition and taken care of. I've actually seen a lot worse. They even have little lockers outside of the courts so you aren't tripping over anything while on the court. I just wish the hours were more flexible for the courts. Right now I believe they are open until 9 M-Th, 6:30 on Fri/Sat, and closed Sundays. (53/100)

Old review from 2 years ago still holds up: TRIPPY, unique, concrete fever-dream. Love this park and have never seen anything like it anywhere else in the world. I remember doing an Easter egg hunt here as a kid decades ago. A Gaudi-like organic structure dominates the park and you can walk from one end to the other. Whoever designed this made something truly special, you'll see in the layout of the park and on some of the details like the retention walls and path to the basketball court. This is a cool local secret, I come about once a year when visiting my parents and it's always empty in the early morning. Love this place and hope others discover how awesome it is.
