Great little neighborhood park, easily accessible from Walker Street. Most of the playground equipment is in good condition, including the cushion type rubber playground surface. Ideal for toddler to 12 year old children ( although seriously, do those older-age groups still go to playgrounds?) Lots of climbing areas and steps for little kids to clamber up and down, a big structure that I called a ship is a fun way to play teeter tottering for several kids. This is a cute secluded park that is right down the street from the newly renovated park Cypress Arnold. I like the design of the park but you can tell it's been there for a minute. There are restrooms and a small parking lot. Do not park in front of the houses because you need a permit. There's bridges and benches to sit at. Definitely needs an upgrade but would recommend if in the area. read more

This is a clean park and has many amenities. The floor has the squishy mats and even had a work out area for the adults. There is so many things here to play with. Great for the kids. There are a few benches to sit around and watch your little ones. Bathrooms are here and about 3-4 areas with covered seating. Parking is good and also has street parking. Beautiful Park but has a very small parking lot. Tucked away near new condos. The park is well-kept and has enough play area for kids. There are two small bridges near the entrance of the park and a rose garden around the statue. I found that this park is very calm and perfect for taking photos. read more

This is now my favorite park in this area. I used to take my kids to either Heritage Park or Regional Park in Cerritos, but got tired of dealing with duck poop everywhere. This park is new, clean, and fairly quiet. It's a small park in the Mackay residential community but it has a little bit of everything to cover people of all ages. There's a very cool playground for little ones, a half size basketball court, exercise equipments for adults, a very small walking trail, BBQ areas, and a grass field. I mainly came here for my kids because this place has one of the best looking playgrounds. Equipments still look new and have a vibrant orange-blue-green color combination which makes the place look bright even on a gloomy day. Playground is separated into two areas, one for very little ones, and one for older kids. Both my 5-year old and my one-year old seemed to love playing here. The flooring for playground is made of some foam or rubber material so it's safe for kids even if they fall. It's much better than sand or wood chips. There's a small parking lot immediately to the right when you come into the community, on the corner of Orchid & Walker. It can accommodate about 10 cars. read more

Mackay Park is a nice community family park for children. I took my nieces a nephew here a few weeks ago to hang out in have some fun. I used to live in Cypress, and Id come to this park to workout sometime. I could have taken them to the ones in my area of Fountain Valley, but we were here, and I thought it'd be funner for them. Plenty of monkey bars and swings for them to play on. So may places for them to play with other children. Its a good family park to have fun with your children. read more

This park wasn't that great. The first time I went was during the weekend a few months back. It's in a residential area and has its own parking too. There are a couple shelter areas with shade you can picnic at but I'm not sure how much it is to rent out since I was just there to take my toddler to play. Some benches next to the playground. Playground flooring isn't mulch or dirt, it's pretty rough made of like a rubber mat material so I don't like that. Playground itself is okay, there's a pretty big field, a basketball court area and restrooms. When we went there were events going on so that made the experience not that great since the kids were extremely out of control and my toddler couldn't really enjoy herself with all these kids. I haven't gone back and don't think I will be going back either. read more

I've lived in Hawaiian Gardens & it's so nice to be able to go to a park late at night & not feel like you're going to be mugged or see a drug deal go down. They have everything you could want in a park. One of the best parts I've visited. Perfect for younger kids. All the equipment is newer and clean. There are two big play structures. Two swing sets. There are amazing features for differently-abled bodies, including some swings, ramps, a ride-type thing. Also has a small grass area. Small sandy area with beautiful flowers and benches. A couple picnic tables with shade. Small basketball court. Public restrooms. The only thing that would make this the PERFECT park is if they installed shade structures over the playground. Not bad. Small new playground for this little new housing community. Small parking lot bathrooms and a few structures to offer play for varying ages. Some ADA accessible features.. Kids had fun. We absolutely love this location! I have two children; 5 and 2, and both of them have a blast here every time. They go to school nearby and love to go here after school gets out. I have noticed that every time I've come here, it's always clean and full of happy children. The only think I wish is that it had more parking. It's entrance is right at a light and easy to get in and out of. The actual park area where the kids play is quite far from the street which I love! There is also two different play areas there and plenty of seating for parents that are covered by trees and a gazebo near by. It even caters to those who simply like to run and get a quick workout in. There is a running trail that ends with a small workout station that the kids even love! Great park but so little parking! It's located in a nice little HOA neighborhood, has lots of green space and picnic tables with barbecues. The kids play area is really good and it's super dog friendly, however there aren't many parking spaces available in the parking lot, and the surrounding street is private and not maintained by Cypress city (HOA), there's a sign at the entrance to the community that street parking is for residents only. The city should fix this somehow as it's a popular park. Also, I noticed that after the weekend parties at the park, there are so many ants in the picnic areas, definitely needs a good clean like some of the surrounding parks! read more

I really enjoy bringing my daughter to this park. It's an open space where she can run around or ride her bicycle. There are several things she can do such as use the playground, play a little basketball, or even exercise on the machines on the side. They have bathrooms which are very clean. I have seen people have birthday parties so I'm assuming you have to get there early to get the tables you want to use. It is in a residential neighborhood, so the only down side is the small parking lot but you can certainly find parking in the street. read more

The only cons is the parking is a little small and the trashy people who don't care about keeping their area clean when they have parties. Perfect for little children and even for babies below 24 months. It's our favorite place to go. Looks new, so it's still clean and not too many people here. The parking lot is very small but I've never seen the lot full. I guess it will be full soon when more people get to know about this place. The lights are on in the evening too so I go there when my kid is still hyper before bedtime. The downside is that the restrooms have no lights inside. Maybe I was the one who couldn't find it, but if you know that there is light, please tell me, that'd be so nice of you. Downside #2 is that the water in the restroom sink ges heated tooooo much that after 5 seconds of washing my hand, the water becomes extremely hot that I can't wash my kid's hands after. I went there in the evening and the water was still heated and hot. Other than that, perfect for little ones. I'll visit this place more often before many people start coming and before parking lot war happens! read more

A new park in cypress by the Mackay residential homes. Not a lot of parking and there are a lot of red fire lanes right along the park. However, you can park along the back where there is parking. I try to be courteous by not parking In front of homes but there is ample parking. There's a gender neutral bathroom and it's clean because it's newer. The best part of this park is the neat playground structures that I haven't seen in other parks in the area and the best part there is no sand!!! The flooring is very well cushioned for the kids to run around on and if they fall it's soft enough for them to fall on. There is three covered picnic area with two tables in each. That's about all the shade you will find here. Also, there is a one basketball area too and a area for adults to to do some workout while the kids play. Even though it's new it is showing some wear and tear but that's to be the expected how popular this playground gets. My kids love it and a great place to take them to run around and release a lot of their energy. Although it's near a major street, it feels safe for my kids because it's right in h middle of a bunch of new homes. Noise level from the street is minimal and overall, a safe and fun park to take the kids. It's also a fun play to grill something as there is a grill to maybe make some burgers and have a picnic. read more
