HORRIBE. I don't usually write reviews this long or get this angry, but this was one of the worst…read moreshopping experiences of my life. First of all I don't know what Furguson building that is in the photo, but it is definitely not the building on 835 Bloomfield Ave. Clifton. The one on Bloomfield Ave. is much smaller & has no double grand entrance like the one shown in the photo here on Yelp. This was our experience {my Husband & I}: You walk in from the bright sunshine outside into a very dark dimly lit store, so you are basically 'blinded' by that and your vison takes a while to adjust. Due to being temporarily blinded you don't see that there is a tiny little white sign the size of a sheet of paper in a plastic frame sitting on the corner of the reception desk telling you to 'sign in' if you want help. So you pass right by the front desk with your still blind eyes where you get a weak hello & nothing more from the front desk person. After that you wander around the store for an hour & do laps around it in circles waiting for someone to approach you to help you. No one does. No one bothers telling you about the sign or that you need to sign in. Every person working there acts as though they don't see you diverting their eyes, some will detour their direction to avoid you, but you know that they do see you. No one offers any help EVER. No one smiles, no one makes eye contact. So you decide to try again and go back a second time on another day because they have the products you are interested in, hoping for better results. THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. You still don't know about the sign or the sign in policy. After the second time of not being asked if you needed any help you finally ask the receptionist at the front desk for help. 'Ella' then seems confused & doesn't seem to know the products Furguson sells. She expected you to know more than she does herself about the products, and then becomes nasty when you don't. She is visibly aggravated when asked for her help. Another couple who had come into the store AFTER YOU DID comes up and asks Ella for help even though she was still 'helping' you. Ella gets up and just leaves you alone in order to go to help the other people. You call after Ella & tell her that you came in BEFORE the other couple. So Ella sits back down angrily and continues to attempt to look things up for you on the computer. The other couple comes back again to the reception desk and asks Ella "how can we get some help?" Ella then tells the other couple they had needed to 'sign in' when they first came in---THE OTHER COUPLE HADN'T NOTICED THE SIGN WHEN THEY CAME IN EITHER! So the other couple, who were visibly unhappy, leave the store in a huff without being helped. You tell Ella that the small 'sign-in' sign that they have there is very difficult for anyone to notice, & the proof is that the other couple didn't notice it either. Then Ella says to you in a very nasty tone of voice "I expect you to sign in and obey the rules in the future !!" . At that point this last comment form Ella about 'obeying the rules' {scolding you like a small child} puts you over the edge and makes you very angry, you explain to her you that you feel you were treated rudely and inappropriately and that you found her comment to be insulting and that her sign was NOT noticeable. And you are thinking to yourself, ISN'T IT THE RECEPTION DESK PERSON'S 'JOB' TO 'NOTIFY PEOPLE' AS THEY ARE WALKING IN THE DOOR THAT THEY NEED TO 'SIGN IN' FIRST IN ORDER TO BE HELPED?! Needless to say you DID NOT buy anything from Furguson of Clifton, and you don't plan to in the future. You would rather spend your money elsewhere ---anywhere else but the Furguson in Clifton {which is overpriced anyway}. It's a very strange place & the worst customer service EVER. And as a side note, they are in the business of selling things such as bathroom supplies, toilets, sinks etc. however their bathroom for customers use is FILTHY DIRTY. Not a very good image to portray if you want to sell bathroom fixtures....just sayin'.

Showroom is nice enough, however the Receptionist needs a class in customer service! She told my…read morechildren (who were quietly sitting) they could not sit in certain chairs in the showroom because the chairs were for customers! Hello Clueless Receptionist - We ARE CUSTOMERS! Our contractor referred us to come here on Central Ave in Yonkers because of their reputation, quality and variety. Lights on Design was like a crisp breath of fresh air when we stopped in here. Main floor is mostly crystal grand chandeliers, attractive contemporary style lights, some 1960s-inspired and more. And, if you're on their website, you can shop by style, fixture type and browse through some of their inspiration gallery photos. Paula was a doll, showed us the upstairs filled with mostly pendant lighting, floor lamps and some smaller chandeliers. Since so much has changed in lighting trend, getting rid of our wrought iron dining area chandelier had to happen as well- especially since it has a country-chicish look I don't like anymore in my home. There's another lighting store on Central Avenue which we could've gone to- but based on reviews, so glad this place came out on top. Owner Glenn, was helpful, patient and friendly. Even when hubs and I didn't find what we wanted on their website, Paula helped locate it in their paper catalog. I loved how she gave us expert advice on how to choose fixtures and even determined which size was best for our space. She was our lighting whisperer.

Reached out them thru their website and got a reply from Mike (the owner) within few minutes. They collect initial information such as electric panel, location of installation and pathway from main box to the location. Mike stopped by few days later to survey the property and provided me an exact quote via online. The quote site provides option to pre-qualify for financing which was a convenient option. Once I accepted the quote, got an installation appointment date 2 weeks away. On appointment day, Gladiator team arrived right on time. They did an amazing job of pulling the cable through my basement ceiling without cutting or poking anything. They used good quality material to run the cable through the trench to the charging dock. They installed the charger and ensured my Tesla was charging properly post installation. It took them about 6 hours to complete the job and they were dedicated to it through out the time. John, Jessie, Marcus were amazing. Gladiator pulled the permit and scheduled inspection with the town. I received notification emails for each of the appointments and reminders as well. Once inspection was done, I got all the documents from them to submit to PSE&G for rebate program. Overall I had an amazing experience working with Mike and Gladiator team. Really happy to see such a great company operating from my town. Would recommend them for any EV or electrical job. Will reach out to them for any future work in my house.

At the same time, we wanted to install new recessed lights in several rooms, a new chandelier, had a doorbell that existed in theory but did not actually ring anything, and old thermostats that needed to be replaced. We then had a number of other repairs we realized we needed, and new outlets and lights to install. The project lasted on/off for three months. Mike Dininno Electric was there from the start, and Mike helped us take care of it all. The results, now complete, are excellent. Mike was easy to work with. He's a pleasant guy to chat with and good at explaining the work being done. He was patient in the face of many questions, and we felt we could ask him anything. Beyond just electric, he also gave advice on things like the placement and quantity of lights. He was flexible on the wording of his contract, and flexible in his scheduling, offering to come out on almost any time, any day--whatever made sense at the time. He was always easy to get a hold of. Though Mike did some of the work himself, he has a staff. Pete, who ran the majority of our project, was also easy to get a hold of, did great work, was easy to work with, chat with, and to have around the house. I gave Pete and Mike what I felt were a lot of details, and I can't think of any they missed. You'd expect a house in the midst of this sort of work to be a mess, but they kept it surprisingly clean. Mike also referred us to good people. After the bulk of the electric work, we needed to re-plaster and paint a lot of the house, and his painter friend, Toni, and his staff, did exquisite work. When the installation of a Nest proved a little trickier than anticipated, Mike was quick to call HVAC experts he knew could do it better than he could. Moving into an old house was chaotic and introduced us to a seemingly endless list of tasks. Mike Dininno helped make a lot of it easier.

From the initial visit to the final installation, Mike was responsive, punctual and delivered on all promises. We were under the gun with timing and while most contractors promise the world and deliver far less, Mike said he would do the best he could and, in the end, over delivered. He got multiple rooms done in one day and was able to seamlessly hang two large TVs. The work came out perfect and he cleaned up everything before he left. Five star service, A+ experience!! I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Mike DiNinno Electric.
