Dave was at the house ready to go even though it was raining. He was very thorough in his work and explanations of what he was doing and why. Reasonable rates, good service, and the fact that he was willing to install the floodlight on a ladder in the rain showed his dedication and wanting to make the customer happy. He didn't have to do that and could have re-scheduled, but he saved me time from changing my schedule to accommodate a new appointment. I am a stickler for good work and attention to detail. We met a few days later, discussed the proposed work and I was told that I'd get a proposal via E-mail. This happened before Labor Day. I received nothing in the mail that weekend, and I waited a few extra days before contacting Tom for status. He told me he was having problems with mail. OK, but a call would have been nice, and if he had worked up an estimate he could have given it to me over the phone. Instead I was told he'd get right on it, or something to that effect. To this day, 10-11-24, I have heard nothing! Fine, if you don't want the job just say so. I contacted another electrical contractor who looked at the job one day and had a crew there 2 days later to complete it in an efficient, professional manner. I hate to use the terms efficient and professional in the same paragraph that mentions Leinster Electric, since Leinster is neither. If their Customer Service attitude is any indication of how they approach a job. Steer Clear! They do not deserve the 1 star I was forced to select.

We bought a house with 99-year-old knob-and-tube wiring throughout 60% of the house. It all had to…read morebe pulled out and replaced. At the same time, we wanted to install new recessed lights in several rooms, a new chandelier, had a doorbell that existed in theory but did not actually ring anything, and old thermostats that needed to be replaced. We then had a number of other repairs we realized we needed, and new outlets and lights to install. The project lasted on/off for three months. Mike Dininno Electric was there from the start, and Mike helped us take care of it all. The results, now complete, are excellent. Mike was easy to work with. He's a pleasant guy to chat with and good at explaining the work being done. He was patient in the face of many questions, and we felt we could ask him anything. Beyond just electric, he also gave advice on things like the placement and quantity of lights. He was flexible on the wording of his contract, and flexible in his scheduling, offering to come out on almost any time, any day--whatever made sense at the time. He was always easy to get a hold of. Though Mike did some of the work himself, he has a staff. Pete, who ran the majority of our project, was also easy to get a hold of, did great work, was easy to work with, chat with, and to have around the house. I gave Pete and Mike what I felt were a lot of details, and I can't think of any they missed. You'd expect a house in the midst of this sort of work to be a mess, but they kept it surprisingly clean. Mike also referred us to good people. After the bulk of the electric work, we needed to re-plaster and paint a lot of the house, and his painter friend, Toni, and his staff, did exquisite work. When the installation of a Nest proved a little trickier than anticipated, Mike was quick to call HVAC experts he knew could do it better than he could. Moving into an old house was chaotic and introduced us to a seemingly endless list of tasks. Mike Dininno helped make a lot of it easier.

We asked him to come back and fix it to be able to dim. Benny kept giving us the run around and blamed us for it not working. He made it seem like we owed him something for having him come out at 7 when it was his fault he came so late. I wouldn't recommend this company because you'll be made to look like you're an idiot and have a stranger barge into your home without your permission. Save your money and go elsewhere.
