I am beyond disappointed with the service I received from John and Montillo Electric, LLC. I hired Montillo Electric to install a new power source (box) to an area in my house where a fireplace was being installed. My first complaint is that the staff was extremely messy and broke personal items that are irreplaceable. They did not even have the decency to let me know, my wife found the broken items after they were left on the floor. However, my biggest complaint was the job was not completed property. When the fireplace company came to install the fireplace, the power source, which Montillo Electric installed, was not working. I called and texted John and explained the problem. His response to me was, "You can turn breaker off, connect the 2 wires in that box with the wire cap. Turn breaker on." WHAT! Are you kidding me! I was shocked that the owner would actually tell a client this. Just so you know I am speaking the truth I have uploaded screen shots of the text messages. After I told John I was not comfortable handling the electric (God forbid I do something wrong) and when he had time to please come by and fix the issue. John compounded the problem by never responding. After three weeks of countless calls and texts, he finally sent a text message asking if I was home and sent one of his employees to fix the issue. No "sorry for not responding earlier" or "sorry the job wasn't done correctly". Screenshots of John not responding to me for over a week are all below. Excellent service by Montillo Electric. After calling around to find an electrician, I made an appointment with John to replace a transformer so that I could finish up an IOT project. Right away I could tell that I wanted his company to do the job. His guys were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They completed the job to my satisfaction. When it was time to pay, he informed me they don't take credit cards. He told me not to worry about payment, John could stop by the next day or I can go to their office. My lights went out after the storm and I contacted PSE&G. PSE&G informed me that I needed a electrician because there is an issue with my fuse box. I contacted Montillo Electric and they were able to schedule the service call at 9:30pm and was at my house by 10:3pm. John assessed the problem and explained what was needed to fix the issue. He fixed the problem very quickly. He arrived on time, and was very professional. He was patient, answered all my questions and provided guidance. After Ida I had no power going to my Hot Tub and since it was a long weekend I needed to get it fixed to avoid further issues. It was a Friday before the holiday weekend and John answered all my texts regarding finding a breaker even though he was absolutely swamped. He got someone to me by the end of the day to fix the issue. I was nervous t receive the bill based on all factors mentioned. I was pleasantly surprised to find the labor under $100 and I was charged for the breaker what it would have cost me at the supply store. He has all my electrical business going forward. Can't say enough about how great John and his crew were, from pricing to the quality of the work they exceeded all my expectations. My issue started late on a Friday evening and John came right out when we could barely get in touch with other electricians never mind them actually coming out 7 o'clock on a Friday night. My home experienced a severe flood and my insurance required a licensed electrician to examine my appliances to certify they needed to be replaced .I called several electricians in the area who acted like they couldn't be bothered. I called them to help with a wall socket that didn't seem to work for my new stove. They uncovered that my recent renovation work people made a mistake in the wiring for new undercounter lights in my kitchen. Montillo fixed it all pretty fast and did another small electrical job that made a big difference. Price was quite reasonable for an hours worth of work.
