Was very dissatisfied with the meal. We thought it was busy because of the cars around the parking lot. Those people must have been inside the boats that dock around the restaurant. We ordered hush puppies as a appetizer, but they had a strange taste and were doughy. The shrimp and the fish, neither had any type of seasoning. Tasted like deep fried oil. It was not a cheap experience, and even after we told the waiter after he asked how we liked it, he made no adjustment to the bill nor apologized. He even said, they experience different hushpuppy flavors to try to find one that people might like more than the traditional flavor. I did tell him when "we" order them, we expect the traditional flavor. It was very disappointing all around. Def won't return. read more

We went by here after the muscle shoals sound studio tour because j was hoping to have a beautiful view of the Tennessee river, get an app and a vino. It was a beautiful day and we sat at the upstairs bar. Friend had an individual prosecco and OJ and an app., Or maybe we each had a shrimp skewer and a veggie. The view was unrrmarkbale. friends prosecco was obviously fresh (it's a one serving size). I ordered a Pinot grigo that suffered from O2 exposure. It was terrible. When I told the bartender she happily took it off my bill and I got a nice prosecco. We walked around to try and determine if it was an actual boat that was docked or what. Walked thru the breezeway of the downstairs kitchen to use the restroom prior to exploring outside and it just felt and smelled dirty. The River Bottom Grille is a casual dining spot on the Tennesse River. The menu offered a variety of choices. I got the butterfly shrimp with Hawaiian Cole Slaw. My husband got the fish and chips with corn on the cob. We ordered the alligator bites as an appetizer. It came with two ranch like sauces. It was good. I got a white sangria. It was a generous size and tasted good. L My dish was delicious. The batter was light and it was cooked just right. My husband thought the fish tasted good. When my husband asked the waitress whether the fish and chips came with fries or chips, she said fries. For the additional one side the entree allowed, he ordered the corn on the cob. The meals came out in a reasonable time but my husband's "chips" were missing. When we asked about it, the waitress explained that since he asked for corn, it took the place of the fries!????? So bottom line is the entree was really fish and not fish and chips. To finish up, we ordered the blueberry crisp with ice cream. The crisp was warm and the ice cream gave it a nice balance, highly recommend. Prices are reasonable here. read more

We were on a 35 day camping trip in the southeastern states and stayed at the nearby McFarland Park and were told by locals to check out the restaurant. All of our food was good: loaded fries, beer battered chicken tenders, pimento cheese bacon cheeseburger. We would recommend this place. It floats on the water and the kids can feed the fish from the porch. Be careful though, the rope railing isn't that secure. There is outdoor seating on the upstairs patio that overlooks the marina and Tennessee River. read more

I'm going to only review what I specifically ordered for this review. I ordered the crab legs special. Which came with corn, sausage, crab legs and shrimp. While the variety of items was just what I wanted, the lack of flavor was very disappointing. I could not believe that NOTHING had flavor. For my meal I was a little unsure about ordering a Flat but chose to try one anyway. I ended up with the Smoked Brisket...The flavor and the heat perfect. Two people in our party split a Boiler and they were VERY happy with their selection. Yet another had the Shrimp Happens and I was able to sample a few. They were also Delicious! They don't have reservations and don't handle large parties well at all. The food is okay but not the best. The prices are rather high for what you get and the server we had was great. The waiting area is tiny and we had to wait outside with small children and my 80 year old mother in law. We were told it would be an hour to an hour and a half to be seated. They sat people who came in after us and made us wait the entire hour and a half. We drove an hour to get there and the experience wasn't that good. We won't go back. read more
