Well, the day finally arrived when I have to cross my favorite steakhouse off the list. Usually, service and food is good here. Tonight, service was non-existent (checked on once and never again) and my wife's steak was cooked completely wrong (ordered medium well and got, at best, medium rare). I came here for dinner on a Sunday night. It was pretty packed, but Service was quick. There was no distancing between tables. Personally, I don't mind that. The Servers wore masks. Our server kept us STOCKED with rolls, waters, etc. To start, We split the blooming onion because that is just tradition at Texas Roadhouse. It was perfectly crisped and piping hot! Perfectly done. Of course we plowed through a few baskets of rolls which were fluffy and warm and smothered in their magical cinnamon butter. For dinner, I ordered the 6oz sirloin which comes with two sides. My Meal was great! I got the Caesar salad which wasn't the best Caesar ever, but still good. My sweet potato was enough for a whole casserole lol. It was absolutely worth it to pay the $1 up charge to load the potato!! The Marshmallows we're plentiful and toasted to perfection. I ordered my steak medium, and It was spot on. It was thick and juicy with a nice pink center. For about $12, this was a fantastic deal. I ended up having about half my meal leftover for lunch the next day. I know they have pretty good lunch deals as well, but these prices are awesome! Texas Roadhouse isn't a luxury dining experience by any means, but an awesome place for a quality dinner at a steal of a price. I treated myself to dinner here. I ordered the Prime Rib haven't had Prime Rib in years. It was great normally I would get a box to take home what I couldn't eat there. Not a great experience. Pick up to go food next to the toilet that wreaks with the stench of urine. Through the roar of nonsensical chatter from the staff standing around talking next to me I hear a toilet flush. My husband and l always go to the Texas Roadhouse on our anniversary. Everything about our experience this afternoon was wonderful. The meal was exceptional. Our waitress, Samantha, was one of the best waitresses we've ever had while dining out. So cheerful, uplifting, thorough, and just sweet. I have eaten at Texas Roadhouses in many different cities and states. They are typically the same and consistent in the menu and service. I ordered an 8oz sirloin here at medium well, but came out more medium than medium well. I didn't mind too much, but the steak was tougher than they normally are at a Texas Roadhouse. I know it wasn't a filet, but whenever I have eaten here, the sirloins have always been tender. Too many choices of restaurants in the area to go back here. I guess on the positive side, there wasn't a wait at all for a table and the place wasn't to crowded. read more

My family and I decided to come here and celebrate my mother's birthday. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, even with the baby. My sister ordered the sirloin steak w/mashed potatoes, green beans and a salad. My mom ordered the American cheeseburger with a loaded baked potato and salad. He ordered the most expensive steak they have, and fed it to the dog because it was so tough and had mostly gristle. The rolls were hard and cold, and this is within a minute or so after we pulled out of the parking lot. We both tried one on the way home. Then, when I get home, the "smothered" chicken I ordered had no cheese. Its been almost a year since we tried it, and hoped it would be better this time. Without a doubt, the best steak dining experience to date. A little after 3:00 on a Sat and had to be seated at the bar...but there were 8 empty tables in the dining area. Go figure. The bartender kept the drinks topped and anything that was needed she took care of. The NY Strip was thoroughly seasoned or marinated and extremely good. The cut and trim was spot on with only two small pieces that were inedible. The meat was fork tender. The appearance really catered to the "you eat with your eyes" aspect, with the perfect crosshatch grill marks. The baked potato was perfection encrusted with salt. Not over or under baked. The bread was savory and fresh. There isn't a salad bar but the prepared salad was very satisfying. Northeast MS really needs a quality restaurant like this. The drive to this location is rather long, winding and tiring but the trip will be made again. **update** We have been here 6 times over 2-3 years and each and every meal has been perfection. People around us got their food, ate, paid , left and new people were seated and got their food before us. First off this establishment isn't fit for groups over 4.. We came in today on Father's Day with 8 and a baby.... My sister in law's salmon was raw so it had to be sent back.. We all sat without drinks for WAAAAAY too long... My sister in law ended up having to get her food togo because she had to go and feed her crying baby and the manager brought her a box but didn't even offer to take her salmon off the ticket even though she could see we were NOT having a happy dining expierence.. My fiance helped her out by taking her son outside so she could eat but obviously didn't get to so by the time he got back in his steak was ice cold and his salad was soggy, which granted we could've handled it better by her feeding him right after she ordered but no matter.. I am a server at a fine dining establishment in Sheffield and if I know I'm busy with multiple tables I make sure I take 2 drinks to each person but we have pitchers of tea and water and I'm guessing your place doesn't do that because of us having empty drinks most of our meal... We had been there so long that my fiance didn't even ask for his steak to be heated or a fresh salad because we had been there since 11 am.... It was after 2 when we left because we had things to do other than be there all day... We eat here alot, not by my choice because I always have a bad expierence, but my family keeps giving y'all chances to make it up... A wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk in and hear the music and watch the line dancing. There isn't a single thing on the menu I have tried that I wouldn't recommend.
