This rotating restaurant in the tower at the Renaissance Shoals in Florence, AL has spectacular views. This place has a great staff and they have food... yep... no adjective there! I ordered the "Sampler" which had a piece of dry aged ribeye, a crab cake, and a piece of amberjack. At $70, it was kind of a let down, especially since the ribeye was almost well-done (I ordered medium). It ate like a piece of meat-gum (IYKYK). The amberjack was also over cooked and dry. Finally, the crab cake was a crab cake which is the nicest thing I can say about it. If you're going to display dry-aged steaks for all to see and get excited about, then you better make sure the staff at the restaurant knows how to prepare it properly. Otherwise, just call yourself Outback with a view. My coworker ordered the Pork Chop which actually was pretty good. So I guess things are hit or miss. Drinks were good, the service was good too until we got our meals, then it kinda dropped off, and the amouse bouche at the beginning was a nice touch. If you're staying at the hotel, this is a good option, it can be tricky to find so ask so you don't get lost. read more

More like 3-6-oh no What went wrong? 1. Made reservations for 7 pm, hoping to enjoy a little of the scenery (you know, a spinning restaurant up in the cloud's whole vibe?). Arrived at hostess stand at 6:55. Told our table was being prepared and we could wait there at the entrance or go in the bar. We chose to go to the bar. Ordered drinks. Waited. And waited. I went back to the hostess stand where the manager was now standing and asked how our reservation was coming, as I watched the last bit of color slip from the sky. "Just a few more moments...we're setting your table up." Seated us at 7:17. It was completely dark outside. Nothing to see. And the kicker? The restaurant was not full. There were available tables. The way they kept telling us they were getting our table ready, one would think they had a box from ikea back there they were assembling. 2. When I made the reservation, it asked "are you celebrating anything special?" Yes. A birthday! My daughter's 22nd. And we've come to this resort and this restaurant for a fun girls getaway. Did you do anything to mark the occasion? Did the host or server comment? No. Was a piece of cake offered? No. Did we ourselves have to ask to see a dessert menu? That happened. 3. The server asked if this was our first time visiting the restaurant. "It is," I replied, looking out at the dark expanse and seeing my reflection. Did she offer any fun facts about this unique experience? The history? How fast it spins? How long it takes to make a full revolution? Squat. Did she walk us through the menu? No. She mumbled through the catch of the day and a steak. That was it. 4. Ordered. Sitting there waiting on our food and noticing everyone else had bread baskets on their table. Flagged our server down. "Could we get some bread?" "Oh...huh...they should have brought you some. Yeah, I'll get that." 3-5 minutes later, she returned with an assortment of bread and crackers and a dish of butter. Honestly, that was maybe the best part of the meal. 5. Because we were miraculously still in a celebratory mood and wanted dessert, we asked for a dessert menu. Ordered 2 items which came boxed up and in a bag. We had asked for cutlery as we were hotel guests and didn't want to get back to the room and eat like hobos. As we were walking out, I saw we didn't have the requested cutlery and stopped at the hostess stand. 6. Two aloof hostess girls and the manager were there. To the manager, I asked "could you please get me the cutlery I requested but was not given?" He went in the back. Then Twiddle Dee smiled and asked "how was everything?" Sis, word of advice. Don't ask questions for which you're not prepared for the answer. "Not good. Not good at all." She just looked at me. I continued. "We waited 20 minutes to be seated, missed seeing the view, service was lackluster...and do y'all not do anything for birthdays?" Then she told me about a birthday package where a guest can indicate they're celebrating a birthday, pay an extra fee, and get some piece of cake and fanfare. The manager returned with our cutlery. I pointed out to him that Dee needs to stop asking people how their meals were and then not know what to do with the answers. But it was apparent he was just as ill-versed. His response was "I'm sorry. Who was your server?" I don't know and honestly, what difference does it make now? The kicker? The dessert I ordered was crème brûlée. One of my favorites (when done well). But not easily transported. Because it was most likely prepared in a ramekin they didn't want to part with, they dumped it into a take out container. Upside down, rumpled. When I opened the box, it looked like someone had already eaten it. Perfect ending to this dumpster fire of a night. Do better. read more

Visited here with family while in town. The restaurant rotates at the top and is on the higher end of service. It is located at the Marriott Shoals Hotel. We had reservations (highly recommended). A 360° rotating view of the Tennessee River and Florence area will take your breathe away. It takes a full 60 mins to make one revolution around the restaurant. The service is top notch and the food is just simply amazing. Don't forget to order a cocktail or two. While you're there stop at swampers in the hotel bar for a night cap make even get a room. We really enjoyed our time here celebrating our anniversary. You definitely get what you pay for. Our server Zoe was so kind and professional. The charcuterie appetizer was beautiful and so fun to eat! (I forgot to take a picture of it.) Our steaks were perfect, and the bone marrow butter is a must for me. The mashed potatoes and risotto sides were very good. We brought home 2 bags of leftovers! And of course, the views were beautiful! We recommend reserving a time before sunset and watching it go down as you dine. The fact that the restaurant rotates all around is so fun. We went for my Sister's 70th bday celebration!!!! It was AMAZING from start to finish!!! Most of us traveled/flew in and stayed at the resort but some lived local!! We all loved it!! They treated us as family!! What I love about it is that I'm pleasantly surprised by so many little details. From the flaky salt jar on the table, to the amuse bouche, to the brownie crust on the chocolate cheesecake, I'm really just blown away every time. The servers are always so incredibly helpful and nice. This time we had Beth and Anna Claire and they were absolutely precious. We started off with the shrimp cocktail app. I loved that they had 3 different sauces and the shrimp were colossal. (25) I got an appetizer as my meal this time. The goat cheese grits (what really sold me) and the perfectly cooked scallops had a crust of seasonings on them - divine. (29) I added two scallops since it was an app serving. (20) (so 49 for the whole dish) The fries are the best I've ever had. Truly. So we each had to have an order of those. The truffle salt makes them magical. (Not exactly sure of price but I think around 10). David got the 22oz Tomahawk ribeye and it was cooked to his medium rare perfection. I'm not a steak girl and I even love this. It has a great crust. (68) For dessert we opted for the chocolate cheesecake and were so blown away by the brownie crust. They even included a little sign made of chocolate because at the beginning we said we were celebrating our anniversary. They really don't miss the small details. We love it here so much we opted for the brunch the next day. It's all buffet style, but don't let that deter you. Probably the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. The sauce was SO flavorful and not too spicy. French toast sticks, bacon, scrambled eggs, muffins, monkey bread, and sausage were all amazing accompaniments. My family and I went to 360 on a Friday afternoon and it was a great experience. We each ordered something different being that it was our first time here. For the appetizer we got the Brussel sprouts, crab and corn chowder, and the cheese curds. We ordered every flatbread on the lunch menu and the crab sandwich. For the entrees, we ordered the chicken, filet mignon, and the mixed grill. Every thing was tasty. My favorites were the chowder and the flatbreads. My daughter and husband loved their steaks! My son loved the crab! To top it off we had the best waitress-Ellie who was also the best bartender! The ambiance was great-seeing the sights below. The portions were not very big. Emily was the server for our party of 4. She was outstanding! She recommended items off the menu and we were very pleased with our orders. After a round of interesting cocktails, the Chef sent out an Amuse Bouche. It was delicious! The Charcuterie Board was amazing. Four different cheeses, olives, cured meats, crispy toast, honey. Next, we shared the arugula salad and the mixed greens salad. Both were just enough to be shared by two. Then, the shared 7 ounce crab cake...it was so good that one of our four ordered it for her entree. Two of us shared the pan seared salmon over rissoto and an order of baby spinach and Swiss chard sauteed in brown butter. All excellent! One of our party ordered the double-bone butterflied pork chop with truffle mashed potatoes. She said it was delicious and took most of it back to our hotel to enjoy the next day. All in all, this is a must-do for the Florence/Muscle Shoals area. You will not be disappointed! We had early dinner reservations (5:45 pm). Second time coming to this place, we have an hour and half drive from Huntsville to get here and it has been worth it both times! The view is so nice, staff has been incredible both times and the food is delicious! This visit (Saturday evening) was great other than the whole restaurant being very cold. I was pretty uncomfortable because of it. Our server and the assistant were both so kind and knowledgeable. Charcuterie board and pork belly appetizers were amazing. The pork belly was very unexpected, it's served with a cheese sauce that is poured over the cotton candy on top and sweet potato on the bottom. The flavors were amazing! And the pork belly was so good. My husband and I shared the cowboy steak, which is a 22oz tomahawk. That was seasoned and cooked perfectly, no complaints at all! Truffle fries were also very good. Cream corn queso was delicious. The mashed potatoes with truffles were different, kind of sweet, not my favorite. Sweet tea was a hit! Crème brulee was good, nothing special though. The only bad thing we tried was the Caesar salad. It had entirely too much dressing, parmesan, and black pepper. I'm sure it would be good if made correctly but we both took one bite and couldn't eat another bite. Highly suggest this place for special occasions. What fun. Conveniently attached to the Marriott Shoals, just a short walk down a hall. Views are, of course, better during the day or towards sunset. Suggest reservations a little earlier than you otherwise might just for the views. Small bar was packed with drop-ins. Nice that they have some seating available for those without reservations, but be aware those seats are limited and in high demand. Tried two cocktails. The slightly dirty martini was a salt bomb, pass. At least the blue cheese olives were a blast of tasty blue. The second, a specialty martini featuring rye and fig (don't recall the name) was better, a bit sweet, not something I'd order again. Next time I'll stick to the short list of local draft beers they have available. We shared a shrimp cocktail, three huge shrimp on a bed of really tasty slaw (they call it fennel salad). Not the traditional shrimp cocktail, and not so much a traditional cocktail sauce, no hint of horseradish, but still tasty. We shared a mixed greens salad, separated on two plates by the kitchen. Very good, very fresh, excellent dressing, and plenty between us. Wife's filet was correctly cooked, my Delmonico (ie boneless ribeye) ordered medium rare was served very rare. I don't mind an undercooked steak, so didn't return, but note inconsistency in steaks for a place that specializes in steaks. Really liked that the sides we selected were served in small portions on the plate. I had mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The mushrooms were thin sliced, which I usually don't like, but these were very flavorful, and excellent along with the potatoes and steak. Overall it was a really nice steak dinner. The steak was a little under seasoned, but nothing a pass over with salt couldn't fix. 360 really borders on 5 stars, may well get bumped up by return visits, and is certainly a special occasion place that we'll return to. read more

This restaurant was wonderful! We came up to the area for a quick getaway and while planning stumbled upon 360 Grille and made reservations right away. We shared the baked brie appetizer and each had a drink to start. For entrees we each had a steak with different sides (risotto, steamed kale, grilled mushrooms and truffle potatoes) and to finish it off we shared the creme brûlée. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. The view was amazing and being just before the 4th we caught a few fireworks going off. We reserved a table for our anniversary last night. The drinks were good, and the salad was decent. We were looking forward to the Tomahawk steak, but unfortunately, they were out of it. That was a bummer. We ended up choosing the ribeye, which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Sadly, the steak was flavorless, and the mashed potatoes tasted like instant ones from a box--runny and also lacking in flavor. Fortunately, there was salt on the table, which I had to use. Typically, when I go to a nice restaurant and the food is good, I don't need to use salt. To top it off, they didn't even offer a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was disappointing.
