A great local cafe with exceptional attention to detail. We had wonderful hand crafted cocktails at the bar prior to getting our table for dinner. Super nice staff. The atmosphere reminded me of a NYC bustling bistro where the "cool kids" hang out. Our waiter was knowledgable of the menu when describing a few entrees I had a questions about. My salad did arrive with way too much dressing for my taste, and it was quickly exchanged for a new salad with the dressing on the side. Everything was delicious. We were here early, so we chose to sit at the bar and have a cocktail and just eat there. We had a sampling of some small shareable plates. The fried oysters were good, the tomato pie was good, the deviled eggs 2 ways were delicious, and the pimento cheese with fried saltines was fantastic. The standout, however, was our bartender, Emme. She could have a conversation, while making drinks, while keeping one eye scanning the bar so no one was missed. Really professional and personable. read more

The business has changed hands since my previous visit. The kitchen isn't as allergy sensitive as the previous owners. I came here for a birthday dinner and was very impressed with the food and drinks! I had the green drink cocktail and it was fantastic! I don't like cucumber, and they were willing to make the drink without. I also tried the peach cocktail and I could tell they used real peach juice which is sadly rare but makes a huge impact! The restaurant itself isn't very large, but it's very cute inside. I split the kale Caesar and rosemary focaccia with a friend and we loved both. I also got a cup of the tomato soup and it was probably the best I've ever had! Very rich though, not sure I could do a bowl. The service was the reason this isn't a 5 star review. It was dreadfully slow, and the restaurant was not busy. We arrived at 7, ordered drinks and a few apps, and he didn't come back until close to 8 and we had to ask to put in entrees at that point. Also, we had to pay a cake cutting fee just to store the cake in their fridge. Our server delivered it to our table along with small plates, but no forks, then he disappeared. I saw him on the back on his phone, so I went and asked a waitress if we could have forks. She was very kind and apologetic, and quickly remedied the situation. read more

The service was exceptional. I was greeted when I entered by multiple people. I made a reservation though it wasn't really needed. The ambiance is nice; I'm a huge fan of low-lit areas. There was a lot of light from the bar area. I asked my server, Mary, what she recommended for a sweet drink and duly went with the Swingin Sunset. It was fresh, sweet, and mixed well. There wasn't an incredible amount of ice, either. I was served a bread + (sea salt?) butter bowl, which was incredibly tasty. The muffins seemed like they were made with browned butter and a hint of caramelization. The saltiness of the butter complimented the sweetness of the bread. It makes me want to learn how to make it, haha. I asked for food recommendations; she recommended the cheeseburger + gulf fish piccata. I wanted something different from a fish and burger so she ended up recommending the Crispy Potato Gnocci, which was a great choice. It was incredibly filling. The pork belly was crispy and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients in the dish. There was a nice umami + peppery bite. The price of food + drink is a little high, but it goes with saying that the quality of the items made it worth it. I'm glad they have a seasonal menu to provide variety. If I'm ever in town, I would love to come here for brunch or lunch. read more

We started with cocktails which were delicious. There were four of us in the party and we were all from various parts of Georgia. Casey brought us a bread basket featuring homemade rosemary bread and corn muffins with whipped butter...yummy! We split two salads: the mixed greens and the strawberry salad. Two of us had the cheese burger, excellent, we especially enjoyed the thyme infused ketchup with the fries. One had the mahi mahi fresh Gulf dinner with shrimp, roasted cauliflower in a fennel sauce. She said it was great. The fourth had the steak tartar and the grilled asparagus and said it hit all the marks. For dessert, we shared a crème brûlée topped with an Apple compote. So good! My wife had her usual white wine, and I the Old Fashioned, I'm always a bit hesitant to order an Old Fashioned out due to them sometimes being too sweet, this was perfect! Bourbon forward and nicely done. We went with the sampler platter and an order of fried oysters. It was the perfect combination, the pimento cheese spread and fried crackers were delicious, the deviled eggs were outstanding and the sourdough toast was spot on. I've seen customers come in wearing something political or discussing their religion, and I overheard Odette's servers and hosts speaking negatively about them based solely on their outfit and beliefs. The food is overpriced and mediocre for a place that calls itself "fine dining." Your best bet is to go somewhere else. read more

When we sat down, we noticed the table had not been cleaned as there was a lipliner stick included in my place setting.
