Pick me Up (like a mimosa)
Leigh E.

We stopped at this beautifully, rustic spot in downtown Florence for brunch on UNA game day. We were seated immediately and our waiter was kind & attentive. I chose the snack plate and my husband got a burger. Both were so good & my "pick me up" drink was tasty! My fav was the sourdough toast... to die for!!

Great drink selection in the middle of historic downtown . Friendly bartender I ordered the Coppa Steak, was cooked perfect and sides were delicious

Green drink

I came here for a birthday dinner and was very impressed with the food and drinks! I had the green drink cocktail and it was fantastic! I don't like cucumber, and they were willing to make the drink without. I also tried the peach cocktail and I could tell they used real peach juice which is sadly rare but makes a huge impact! The restaurant itself isn't very large, but it's very cute inside. I split the kale Caesar and rosemary focaccia with a friend and we loved both. I also got a cup of the tomato soup and it was probably the best I've ever had! Very rich though, not sure I could do a bowl. The service was the reason this isn't a 5 star review. It was dreadfully slow, and the restaurant was not busy. We arrived at 7, ordered drinks and a few apps, and he didn't come back until close to 8 and we had to ask to put in entrees at that point. Also, we had to pay a cake cutting fee just to store the cake in their fridge. Our server delivered it to our table along with small plates, but no forks, then he disappeared. I saw him on the back on his phone, so I went and asked a waitress if we could have forks. She was very kind and apologetic, and quickly remedied the situation.

Chicken Bahn Mi Lunch Special

We had a very nice lunch starting out with the creamy deviled eggs. I had the soup and salad combo with the mixed greens and chicken & wild rice soup. The salad was dressed perfectly with a nice crunch from the almonds, and the soup was warm and comforting on a dreary day. The rest of my party enjoyed their meals, and we would definitely return.

Bread + Butter

The service was exceptional. I was greeted when I entered by multiple people. I made a reservation though it wasn't really needed. The ambiance is nice; I'm a huge fan of low-lit areas. There was a lot of light from the bar area. I asked my server, Mary, what she recommended for a sweet drink and duly went with the Swingin Sunset. It was fresh, sweet, and mixed well. There wasn't an incredible amount of ice, either. I was served a bread + (sea salt?) butter bowl, which was incredibly tasty. The muffins seemed like they were made with browned butter and a hint of caramelization. The saltiness of the butter complimented the sweetness of the bread. It makes me want to learn how to make it, haha. I asked for food recommendations; she recommended the cheeseburger + gulf fish piccata. I wanted something different from a fish and burger so she ended up recommending the Crispy Potato Gnocci, which was a great choice. It was incredibly filling. The pork belly was crispy and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients in the dish. There was a nice umami + peppery bite. The price of food + drink is a little high, but it goes with saying that the quality of the items made it worth it. I'm glad they have a seasonal menu to provide variety. If I'm ever in town, I would love to come here for brunch or lunch.

Bluewater Creek Cheeseburger, hold the bun, add avocado, fries with Mayo and Thyme infused house ketchup

We had a reservation at 5:45 pm on a Tuesday night and we arrived right on time and were promptly seated in the dining room. Casey, our server, was amazing! We started with cocktails which were delicious. There were four of us in the party and we were all from various parts of Georgia. Casey brought us a bread basket featuring homemade rosemary bread and corn muffins with whipped butter...yummy! We split two salads: the mixed greens and the strawberry salad. Two of us had the cheese burger, excellent, we especially enjoyed the thyme infused ketchup with the fries. One had the mahi mahi fresh Gulf dinner with shrimp, roasted cauliflower in a fennel sauce. She said it was great. The fourth had the steak tartar and the grilled asparagus and said it hit all the marks. For dessert, we shared a crème brûlée topped with an Apple compote. So good! I highly recommend this local favorite.

Yummy food for 4 and fabulous fun!

Our experience for our celebration of our daughter's Doctoral Degree Accomplishment & Our Son-In-Love's MBA Degree Accomplishment was phenomenal, everything from our appetizers to our Bloody Mary's to Our Entree's were delicious and superbly prepared! Thank You for a wonderful dining experience and a well-earned and deserved celebration to year's & year's of hard-work to cap off the final cherry on top of educational sundae!

A little gem in Florence, Alabama. Escalated food, the prices can be a little escalated too. Great service.

We opted for 1/2 Muscle Shoals Sound and 1/2 Sweet Margueritte. Pizza and drinks came out promptly with a complimentary side of ranch. Pizza was thin and crisp, no flop. The MSS had a "hot sauce" smell but it only enhanced the flavor of the pepperoni and sauce. The SM was a little in the dry side, only being an olive oil base. Pizza was large enough that we each had a slice for leftovers. Atmosphere was more of a bar vibe but at 1 PM is was quiet and quant. Overall good experience. Courtney made it even better!

Had been waiting for the perfect time to eat at Ray's at the Bank. Checked their website to see if…read morereservations were required due to it being Valentine's weekend with nothing posted that reservations were required. Waited an hour for them to open so we would be sure to get seated only to be turned away at the door because we did not have a reservation. Poor management!! We live over an hour away and did not get to experience their wonderful menu that was planned. Sadly disappointed and do not think we will return to give them an opportunity. I hope that no other couple had this experience there. I would have gladly made a reservation had it been posted on their website!!!

My husband saw this restaurant, about a mile from our hotel (Hampton Inn and Suites). I didn't…read morereview it as I was happy to let my husband choose for once. This is a quaint little restaurant that was nicely decorated for the Christmas holiday. We chose our table and were attended to immediately. There were two other tables of 5 and 4 customers when we arrived around 1:30 pm. I noticed they close at 3 and open again at 5 pm. The special of the day was red beans and rice with andouille sausage served with corn bread which my husband ordered. I was surprised because I was pretty sure he chose this restaurant because it had the word "ribs" on the menu. He said his beans and rice were a little bland and his cornbread was average. I tasted it and have to agree it could use more seasoning. I ordered the brisket platter which included two sides. I ordered cornbread salad and macaroni salad. The brisket was delicious served baked as two types of sauce were offered-red and yellow (mustard). I have to say I liked my brisket without the sauce. A slice of Texas toast was also on the platter. I offered some of the brisket and the toast to my husband so I can't comment on the buttered toast. I chose the cornbread salad because I had never heard of it. It was interesting. It was a cold salad that included crumbled cornbread, diced celery, onion, green pepper, corn, and I think pimento binded together with a light dressing and served in a scoop. The macaroni salad was plain ole southern elbow macaroni with a tangy mayo based dressing. Both salads were tasty and I enjoyed them. Good food but nothing that says I would drive out of the way to come here. Our server was working alone and was efficient as she waited the 3 tables, including serving wine and drinks from the bar. We took a pint of their smoked pimento cheese with us and had some of it for dinner with some sausage and crackers. It was tasty. We didn't get dessert here but noticed a bakery across the street that was calling our name..
