Do you like dinner with a view? How about the best view in Northwest Alabama? Do you like to eat? Like, your plate is overstuffed with yumminess and you can't eat another bite? Do you have an expense account or a high credit card limit? Then I have the spot for you! Better half wanted to go to the "round, rotating place" so off we went. It was a beautiful day (not too sunny, not too cloudy, no rain) so the view was spectacular. They were also SUPER busy because of Shoals Fest, but still booked us a table. Note: go there before sundown if you can for the view. If you get motion sickness or are afraid of heights, you may not have a good time. Regardless, the food. You can order as many courses as you want, but I'll warn you: portions are large. We started with the foie gras and crab cake and could have easily just split a starter. The foie was an extremely generous portion (though I will wag my fingers at them for serving me a piece of burnt, black, charcoal briquette bread) and nicely cooked. I didn't try the crab, but it was reported as "excellent." You're there for steaks, though, and good news: you don't have to order sides ala carte anymore. My asparagus wasn't properly trimmed and extremely woody, but the mashed potatoes were delightful. Our steaks were cooked exactly to temperature requested, and overall it was an ample portion. My filet was more than I could finish. Expect good, if not overly attentive, service. This doesn't bother me, but I was a bit curious as to why they asked if we wanted dessert before we'd even cut into our mains and then ignored our empty water glasses. Again, though, they were fully booked so I'm sure they were trying to turn over tables. I'm giving them five stars because this is an "experience" restaurant and at that they excel. The food is good, if not stunning or overly inventive, and I found it worth the (for this area high) price for the gorgeous views. I wouldn't make this an everyday stop, though I think lunch prices are more reasonable, but for what we wanted--a nice escape in a lovely spot--it more than fit the bill. Don't expect to spend less than $150 or so on dinner for two, sans alcohol. read more

My wife and I spent our 7th wedding anniversary at the 360 Grille and I have to say it was a most wonderful experience for both of us. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were seated immediately. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic and of course the view from your table is amazing. I timed our arrival so that sunset was about an hour after our arrival and the sunset was beautiful. We did get lucky to be on the side of the rotating restaurant facing the sun while it set. Our server Victoria was fun, delightful and very knowledgeable. We started with two martinis which were perfectly prepared (I am so picky) and garnished with blue cheese stuffed olives. Victoria recommended the Scallops for a starter and they were perfectly seared and topped a delicious pile of creamy goat cheese grits and a tart raspberry Demi-glacé. We enjoyed out appetizer and drinks. We were never rushed to take the rest of our order. Next we decided to split the Wedge Salad. It was huge and was served two separate plates. The pickled shallots on the wedge were a nice touch, but the best part was that instead of bacon they used crispy pork belly to top the salad. So delish. Based on further recommendations from Victoria, my wife chose the Salmon and I chose the NY Strip. The Salmon was perfectly pan seared to almost a medium. The Salmon was served on top of creamy Parmesan risotto and the salmon was topped with arugula, avocado and chorizo. The flavor combination was amazing and I found it hard to stop stealing from my wife's plate. My 28 day aged strip was cooked to order a perfect medium rare. I chose truffled mashed potatoes and a Swiss chard baby spinach combo for my side. Every bite of the steak was amazing and I ate all 16 ounces of it. The truffled Mashed Potatoes had a great flavor, but they could have been warmer. The Swiss Chard and Baby Spinach side was way too salty, but Victoria quickly had the chef prepare me another portion and it was divine. The bitter chard and spinach were quickly wilted and topped with a delicious brown butter. A simple and fantastic combo. We paired it all with a nice bottle of Alexander Valley Cabernet and finished our meal with a French Press Decaf and a huge ramekin of Crème Brûlée. The 360 Grille has an exceptional view, a great selection of high end food perfectly prepared and a great staff giving excellent service. Our group had an 8:30 reservation and It took 55 minutes for the server to visit our table after we were seated. The aim is a classic steakhouse vibe and they sorta get there but seem to trip over themselves a bit too much. Once the server let us sit for an hour, service assumed a more normal pace and she was pleasant and reasonably attentive. The food was good but nothing special. The $10 wedge salad was comically small with bacon curiously devoid of flavor. It's essentially $2.50 per bite...for a salad. The risotto was dry and gummy. My homemade is much better. The steaks were good, the view was lovely and the bread was fantastic. A $4 charge to share an appetizer? Seriously? You're clearly paying for the unique venue but this place really needs to up their game. They'd be toast in a more competitive market. read more

Came here for lunch during a conference. The restaurant is a revolving tower which was really interesting. I ordered the 360 Bama Cobb salad. It was very good. The candied pecans really added something extra as well as the honey vinaigrette. My husband ordered the wagyu burger which he said was wonderful except it could do without the blue cheese which was too overpowering. Overall the food was tasty and the atmosphere was quiet and elegant. read more

An hour and a half after we sat down we still didn't have our entree. The excuse was they were busy at the bar. That had nothing to do with the kitchen. Perhaps one in eight of the restaurant tables were occupied. We had to search down our waitress to ask for a bill so we could leave. The 360 Grille is a unique and novel place for a dinner. The rotating outer flooring continues to move and provide new views as you work your way through your meal. It's definitely an older restaurant but they've managed to keep it in great condition. The staff are friendly and professional and manage to keep tabs on their tables despite the constant movement. Quite the challenge. The menu is fairly classic with the typical offerings you'd expect at a high quality grill. Our table shared some of the crab cakes and baked brie. Both were quite delicious. I opted for the filet mignon with truffles mashed potatoes and asparagus. They nailed it. The drink menu has plenty to offer to keep everyone happy including signature cocktails and craft beers. The view is excellent. The food was pretty decent. We both ordered the pork chop, which was cooked sous-vide. It was a generous cut of meat, but I don't think it was finished very well, as I found it bland. I think it needed a good searing after it came out of the vacuum bag. We usually love this place, but this week's experience was much less than what we expected (based on past dining). Service was mediocre, at best. The staff was not engaging AT ALL. The prawn "shrimp cocktail" was tough, chewy and unpleasant, and for $25 for an appetizer, we expected better quality and presentation. The wait was nearly an hour for dinner x2 - with only ONE entree (I was full after the prawn "thing" and the charcuterie board - which was pretty good, b/t/w). Just disappointed overall and question whether we will return. Again - we usually love it - but for a $$$ dinner? They did not deliver as expected. Do not recommend the holiday buffet specials they offer. We went for the Thanksgiving buffet because it sounded wonderful. The elevators stopped working on the way up and we were trapped. They didn't have any one manning the emergency call line which doesn't seem right. After about 45 minutes and several calls to the hotel front desk, the elevator started working again and we finally got to sit down for dinner. As soon as we sat down, the hostess informed us that we needed to get our food pretty quickly because they needed to start pulling all the food due to safety protocols. We took one quick trip around the buffet and apparently they had already stopped the heaters because all the food I took - turkey, prime rib, mac and cheese and one other side dish I can't remember - were all cold. It was terrible. I didn't eat much of what was on my plate. I found some bread and cheese to eat and I had a dessert, but that was all we were able to get because they were shutting down. They were literally stacking chairs and vacuuming around us. After that, I called and talked with a manager who was very kind and said she was going to send us a gift card or something to come back and give them another chance, and she too never followed up with us. Saturday, October 1 - We had to hike down the tower when the fire alarm went off. Alarm stopped when we were about a third of the way down but staff did not try to call people back, nor did staff descend the stairs. We waited uncertainly in the parking lot until another patron called the host stand and asked if it was safe to come back up. No part of our meal was comped to ameliorate that experience. For a restaurant this nice with these prices, where patrons wear dresses, suit jackets, and heels, partial comp service should have been provided after forcing your patrons to hike down 15 flights of stairs in a cramped service stairwell. There were women walking barefoot down because they couldn't walk in heels. There were older people weak and gasping at the bottom of the tower. The food was good - a little overpriced. View was fantastic. Our waitress was very good. Management seems poor. read more

Let's be honest: any bar that makes their own blue cheese stuffed olives has my attention! The bartender even gave us extras because we enjoyed them so much! After enjoying my martini at the bar, we moved to our table, reserved for 7 pm. Wonderful waiter and helper who knew the menu and delivered the focaccia with butter. Amuse bouche was brightly acidic. We shared the scallop app and the wedge salad. The scallops were served on grits that had a polenta texture. The salad had a slightly sweet vinaigrette dressing. Delicious! And surprisingly, the steak is what stood out! Perfect temp of medium rare with that perfect crust--and a wood smoked flavor. My husband swears that his ribeye was the best steak he has had all year! He even mentioned it in the same category as our steak Florentine in Italy! He ended the meal with smoked banana pudding, and as he said, it's the kind of dish that a good chef screws up. Not this time! The warm banana with lightly whipped cream and caramel was perfection. Hubby's birthday dinner was amazing! From start to finish, we enjoyed our experience! read more

This restaurant literally located up on a huge tower and in a circular shape because it ROTATES ( slowly) as you eat, giving you a complete 360 views below of the Tennessee River as you dine! I can't even explain what an amazing experience this is. And to add to this, the food was absolutely outstanding!! My filet mignon melted in my mouth. As an Uber driver, I know for a fact this locale's food and service are topped only by the ambiance of this rotating restaurant in the sky!

What a fun experience! Make sure to book a reservation if you want to eat here for dinner, it sounded like the hostess stand was getting multiple calls about availability when we showed up, but they were booked for the evening. We had showed up to our reservation an hour early so we took the elevator down to the lobby level and had a drink at the hotel bar before venturing back to the tower. Our server was amazing, I wish I got her name because she was so sweet and fun to talk to! This is a super high scale dinner experience with lots of steak options, and also a market seafood option. Unfortunately, my partner and I are vegetarians and although they had a vegetable plate for an entree, we decided to snack on a cheese board and salad instead. We knew their menu did not really cater toward our diet but my mother in law really wanted to take us here and we still had a great time. The floor is rotating, and for dinner service it takes about 1.5 hours to complete the rotation, which is about how long they expect your dinner to take. We shared a few small bites for our table and ordered drinks as well. Lots of great alcohol choices, wines, beers, and lots of liquor options.
