I arrived at 4 pm and to reserve seating in an area to celebrate my wife's birthday. The person I had to speak too would not seat me and our party was supposed to be there at 5:00 sharp. So, I was left sitting there. At five our party showed up, then they tell me we can't seat you. So there I am with 20 guests and birthday gifts and cake, etc. By the way, when I arrived, the place was not even 25 percent occupied. We left and went to 306 grill downtown and they gladly seated all of us right then. Will never go back to this place, for anything. read more

Horrible experience!!!!! Food is mediocre but staff is in dire need of customer service skills! The customer is never right in this establishment. If you order one of the few selections that are not deep fried, say a prayer first that the inexperienced cook lucks out and gets it right because the bleached blonde claiming to be the owner will not be happy with you and she will let you know! Both the owner, waitress and chefs showed their ignorance in both cooking and running a business. We were very patient when having to send one if our meals back, not once, not twice, but three times before they could cook a steak to medium properly. We will never return and warn anyone before they try this place! Our meal was $75 and was worth about $20! read more

This is a great place to eat!! There were 9 of us and we were seated 20 minutes before projected time. We all tried different items off the menu and it was all great! Our party was ages 5-50 and there was something for everyone! Scenery was a plus. We will definitely be back! read more

First time here, boated over from Cypress Shores Campground. Shrimp & crab dip is awesome! Service great and so is the food. Glad we came in off-season....will be back regularly. Makes a great day on the lake that much more if an outing. read more

Had lunch there today and if I had to sum up the food I would say it is so-so. My biggest problem was the fries, shrimp flat bread and the soup was so salty! My server was ok, she was obviously a bit overwhelmed though. In fact, she kept forgetting my soup and when she finally did bring it, it was not hot and so salty I just sent it back. The shrimp flat bread had those tiny shrimps like you get in a can and again they were over-salted as were the fries. My husband had the clam strips appetizer, which were not over-salted but the breading was bland. His mahi-mahi sandwich was the best part of any of the food and that was $15 and it was a special. This place has an awesome location on the marina with great views but the food is not worth the price and/or calories. The biggest plus besides the views was they do have a lot good beers on tap and the tall glasses are 20-24 ounces (didn't have a beer menu, read off a board) so I am guessing based on the size of the glass) and the Blue Moon was only $5 while the Yuengling was $4. This is primarily why I gave the place 2 stars over 1. read more

The view and ambiance are great. The service from Ariel was very friendly, but not great. We waited 45 minutes for a table which is common around here on a Saturday night. Problem is, there were clearly tables available that they were having a hard time clearing and turning over. The kitchen is clearly deficient. Our order came out staggered and with an extra burger that we didn't order. The extra burger looked like it had been sitting on the floor for a while and then placed haphazardly on a bun. My wife's Riverbottom burger was missing the fried onions. The wings are small and 1/2 the order came out cold. The menu is way overpriced for the quality of food that is served to you on a frisbee. I would go back for drinks but will avoid the kitchen at all costs. By the way, as you go to the restroom, you get a good picture of how the kitchen functions because you basically walk right through it to get there. It's pretty good with great views of the Tennessee river. However don't get the crab legs. The portions are so small it is crazy. The portion size doesn't even constitute a good appetizer. read more

I love burgers, and River Bottom Grill has the best burger I've ever had, the River Bottom Burger. Would 10/10 recommend!

Horrible. This is a "fried stuff with cheese" type of place. Most everything is of the deep fried variety (ie: bags of frozen food and deep fried). Ordered the filet medium and had to send it back 3 times before they got it right. Over cooked, then under cooked, then they had the gall to throw the sliced up under cooked BACK on the grill (or is it grille?) and tried to serve and justify because "that's how they do things". Apparently ALL of their filets are butterfly cut before cooking (what!?!?) because that's how they're purchased. However, they're cut vertically and NOT horizontally which IS NOT a butterfly cut. It's apparent the teenagers working the grill have little to no experience in cooking meat properly without slicing into it. Do not even try to send anything back because the bubble headed bleach blonde that either runs or owns the place won't listen. You either eat what you're served the first time or she WILL come at you with one of the worst attitudes I've ever encountered at a restaurant. Needless to say, we won't ever return and everyone we know will hear about our experience at this "restaurant". On the plus side, the beverages were good. These guys just need to stick with what they're good at...deep fried appetizers and drinks. read more
