Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from the beginning. When we arrived, our table was missing cutlery. We initially assumed that perhaps the table was still being prepared, so we did not make an issue of it. It took quite some time before our waitress came to take our order. We soon realized that she appeared to be working on her own while the restaurant was quite busy. While we understand that staffing shortages can happen, the level of service we experienced was unacceptable. We waited approximately 20 minutes just for our beverages. When our waitress returned to the table, she still had to ask what beverages we had ordered, despite having written the order down. We also ordered orange juice and were very disappointed to discover that what was served was essentially an orange-flavoured drink rather than actual orange juice. For the price being charged, we would expect the product to be clearly represented, particularly if it is not freshly squeezed. There were also several trips to our table before all seven of us received our beverages. Even after that, our first round of drinks still had not all arrived by the time our food began coming out. Unfortunately, the food itself was another major issue. Several meals arrived cold, and the potatoes served with one of the meals were actually still frozen. We also had to repeatedly ask for additional cutlery and wait for condiments to be brought to the table. We understand that restaurants can become extremely busy and that staffing issues can arise. However, if the restaurant was operating with insufficient staff, it would have been more appropriate to limit the number of customers being seated or reservations being accepted rather than provide a level of service that left customers waiting, repeatedly asking for basic necessities, and receiving food that was not properly prepared. It is especially unfortunate because we genuinely would like to support local businesses. However, based on this experience, I would not recommend your establishment to others and would not currently consider returning. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and look into what happened today. Customers should be able to expect reasonably prompt service, properly prepared food, complete table settings, and accurate orders--regardless of how busy the restaurant may be. Sincerely Vanessa
