The best part about this place is Bailee. I can't imagine how this place would be with out good employees like her!! Food is also never bad.

This is a really neat Western themed restaurant with actual history behind the name and the location. It is set on the old stagecoach trail between Joliet and Chicago and next door to the original Stagecoach Inn. Inside is set like the Old West (Lantern lighting hanging from the ceiling, an old stagecoach inside, rustic tables, wanted posters on the wall), meets modern day (mix of several TVs Juke Box, and a video golf game. I wish it were a western themed shooting game, but that's me). There is a stage and lighting set up for future performances, with what seems like a legit sound system. The food ranges from burgers, sandwiches, onion rings, cheese sticks, pretzel bites waffle fries, fried pickles, wings, & southern Illinois staple: the horseshoe which is an open faced sandwich covered in fries and then cheese sauce. Then, there are more interesting choices: fried avocado, impossible burger, bison burgers, rabbit stew, venison steak, blackened pheasant, and elk dip. We started out with fried pickle chips. They were really tasty, but the portion seemed small even for two people. The sauce that they are served with was good and I'd like that as a substitute for ketchup for fries. My lovely wife had the bison burger which came out cooked medium just like requested. The portion on the burger and waffle fries won't leave you hungry. I had the fried pork tenderloin horseshoe. The pounded out tenderloin was thick and juicy with great flavor. I had the waffle fries as well, but if I order the horseshoe again, I may opt for the regular fries. The beer and liquor selection is pretty vast with an impressive whiskey and bourbon collection. We look forward to going back with friends and will try to get one of the patio tables out front. So "Git along little doggies," and "pony up," to this "ace high" establishment. Enjoy some "vittles," and "fire water" for yourselves. See ya'll "cowpoke" there.... read more

A modern bar and grill with a old west decor. Nice inside with a nice large bar, good sized dining room and also sidewalk seating outside. Nice cozy feeling inside, but too many televisions distract from the saloon theme. Nice menu with the favorites people like Plus unusual menu items like, bison, venison Elk, pleasant and rabbit stew. Staff was friendly good selection of beverages A fun atmosphere here, worth checking out. read more

The Horseshoe sandwich was really good, had it with the breaded pork tenderloin. Boneless chicken wings and chilli fries were also delicious. Will definitely be back for more options when they are running full steam on a the full menu vs. just the late nite menu. read more

First time in! Popped in on lunch break during the week and was impressed by the larger-than-life saloon style atmosphere. It's a versatile vibe - construction workers, moms with kids, professionals working through lunch. The reason I went : their menu has a whole section devoted to every Western Illinois University Alumni's favorite: THE HORSESHOE! Endless combos to build your perfectly personalized horseshoe plate. I went with a ponyshoe, the smallest and it was big enough to take some home! All shoes start with a crispy piece of Texas Toast. Then you pick your protein. I went with grilled Buffalo chicken. They had fried as another option. My friend had a burger (they even had bison). Next up pick your choice of potato to stack on top. I chose the seasoned waffle fries! Tots were another option I'll try next time. Then smother everything in cheese sauce - the cheese sauce is what makes each restaurant's version of the horseshoe special. Stagecoach's cheese sauce is a mild house made white cheese sauce and it was great. No canned cheese here! The sodas were served in cute tin mugs with free refills to wash down all that sodium lol. If you can, sit at one of two booths straight back from the entrance with the red curtains for a fun surprise when your food comes out! My bill with 20% tip was $15. That's a steal if you ask me! read more

The atmosphere and design of this restaurant is super cool!! I love how they open the little doors by the kitchen and hand you your food. The fries are AMAZING. My family loves the food here. Super flavorful and just delish. The only thing is, I have a dairy allergy, so I think the staff should be more helpful on that. I'd love to see some vegan and gluten free option(s)! Definitely coming back. I've been here twice read more

the food was good but a little bit pricey . The server was very attentive . I felt that it was very cold in the restaurant .

Terrible customer service. Drinks are terrible and bartenders are incredibly rude. My friends and I have been there several times and they always have terrible attitudes, not to mention the bar is always coated in spilled drinks. Unfortunate because if they were more pleasant Id be willing to go back. read more

Horrible service! I came here on Thursday 8/4/22 with 4 other people and we never got service. As we were walking up one of the waitresses was outside and asked us if we would be sitting inside or outside. We told her outside. She never came back to take our order. After about 15 minutes one of our friends went in to get some drinks. The bartender stood at the other end of the bar holding a conversation with others and never even acknowledged my friend standing at the bar. He stood there a good 5 minutes or so. As we were leaving my friend told her apparently nobody wanted to serve us so we were going to go somewhere else. She then laughed and said "Have a good night." By the way, they were not busy at all. This place has really gone downhill. read more

The cornbread casserole is by far the best item offered here. I ordered a burger to be cooked "medium", it arrived well done on a burnt pretzel bun, I sent it back asking again for "medium", again it arrived done - cooked through, no pink, but at least the bun was not burned. My friend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap which was VERY SPICY. Unfortunately, my friend finished his meal before I was able to get mine to arrive cooked the way it was ordered. On top of that, when the bill arrived we noticed we were charged for every little thing - different bun? Extra charge. Sauce? Extra charge.... it was $40! 2 people for lunch? $40? Unbelievable! We will not be back. read more

Husband and I used to eat here 3-4 times a month. Could get great food and have a modestly priced beer. We know between COVID and the current economy some prices would go up but $8 for a Revolution or similar style beer is ridiculous. Especially when the menu says its $7 and the only excuse is that the menu is out of date. The staff changes frequently, the bar can sometimes be sticky and smelly from not being cleaned properly. Too bad, used to be one of our favorites. read more

We went here last night for the first time. First off, the bartenders were too busy eating and drinking behind the bar to help us in a timely manner. Even worse, my brother who has a speech disorder, was harassed by the bartender for "not speaking correctly". She told him he could have his drink once he could pronounce it correctly and even refused to serve him, passing him off to the other bartender. The other bartender reluctantly served him, telling him he was too drunk to order and needed to drink a glass of water before he could get more to drink (he had had two beers at this point). After the gave him his beer, the bartenders went to the back and were clearly talking about my brother, looking over at our table. To finish the night off, as we were leaving once we finished that drink, he said goodnight to the staff while walking out and the bartenders pulled him back into the bar berating him about how he was "giving them such a hard time" when all he was trying to do was order a beer. We will never return to this establishment. read more

Lady behind the bar was nice but the dartboard took our money and didn't give it back. Lady couldn't do anything bar was empty and they closed earlier than hours listed on the front door and online. Feels bad this is the first time here and I feel like I was robbed lol read more

Never had a bad meal. The new menu has a nice selection. The food is served hot and lots of side dishes to choose from which is a nice compliment to the main course. OK, but far from being worth a return visit. The best part were the cauliflower and avocado appetizers. Beer selection is big, but local liquor store has better quality selection. Food was meh. Had the horseshoe, but it seemed like the horse was left out in the cold. Waitress apologized for delay saying she served a bigger party ahead of us. Not my problem, it is theirs. Lock and Mule right across the street blows them away with both food and service. Will not go there again. read more

I don't know why this place only has three stars. I feel like the only people that come on here are people that want to complain! This place looks awesome inside. Great new restaurant in historic downtown Lockport. Came in on a Tuesday night for "singo" where they bring in a DJ and you mark off song titles on a card just like in bingo. Ordered a steak sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese which was surprisingly delicious. Food was served quickly, however my wife ordered a chicken sandwich sans cheese and it came with the cheese anyway. Server took it back to remake it but it seemed to take a while. When it finally did arrive it was delicious and the chicken was juicy. Cool atmosphere with a western theme. I'll probably be back. read more

We went for Sunday lunch. The food, atmosphere, and service was spot on! Highly recommend trying this place.

Service is incredibly slow. We were ignored for twenty minutes after being seated inside. Employees could be seen standing behind the bar texting on their phones. We then asked to be seated outside and finally had our order taken. Food came first with no drinks, not even water. When our drinks finally did arrive they were wrong. The two stars were for the tots nachos. They were really good, but the bloody Marys (whole reason we came there) were very disappointing. Make the drive up to Milwaukee and go to Sobelman's for some great bloodies. These were definitely not worth the thirty minute drive. read more

Alright- I was very excited to try this new Lockport pub, but was sadly disappointed. Loved the theme but the drinks & appetizers were subpar. Now I know I'm being very judgmental but the bourbon/whiskeys need more of a variety then your basic list you can find at a liquor store. Expand past your regular every bar whiskey/bourbon brands. Please work on your portions a bit more as there wasn't even enough to share with two people. I understand you're new, but simple things can add a great deal to this establishment. read more

They just had their grand opening this weekend and today they were out of everything except a few appetizers and a sandwich smothered in gravy off of their late night menu. Bartender and waitresses were wearing 1850's style clothing. Our waitress was very nice and apologized for being out of food. They should be restocked by Thursday. So I like the place but did not care for the small burger on a piece of Texas toast covered with waffle fries and white cheese gravy for $13. Will try this place again in the future but not a great first visit for me and my son. read more

My husband and I went here this past Friday. We will not be going back. There was hardly anyone there in the restaurant. Service was very slow. The food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. We ordered the mozzarella sticks. We both ordered Cesar wraps (very small) with fries and I had lemonade and he had a diet. $70?!?! Plus there were gnats flying around. No thank you. Nice place. I was there 6/16/19. Brand new. It was pretty busy due to a festival in town but we were sat and served quickly. I noticed a stage and look forward returning for live music. Decor- solid. Place really looks old westy. The Dr McGillicudy's stuff blends right in. Can I sit in the stagecoach? Wasn't sure so we didn't. 5 stars Drinks- didn't get any so can't comment Food- lots of unique offerings but we went with standards. Burgers were all good, homemade Mac n cheese was good, buffalo chicken horseshoe was good. 4 stars because the price doesn't match the portion size. My horseshoe had 8-10 waffle fries on it. I'm no chef but fries are cheap and a horseshoe should have a lot of them. Service- they were training a girl but everyone was polite and attentive, even with a difficult member of our party read more
