This place blew us away! Almost literally, it was a terrible storm while we visited! The service was spectacular, and friendly. We had coffee and a scone and a cookie that were the best in place could ever produce. Soft and nice on the inside crispy and fresh on the outside. The coffee is roast here for god sake's! Four items of amazing deliciousness totaled just over $8 read more

So my mom and I wanted to try something new and something sweet and we stumbled across this amazing Coffee shop. It was a very nice atmosphere, great food and excellent drinks. I ordered a Dirty Iced Chai latte ( a normal ice chai with a shot of espresso) and it was AMAZING!! I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie which was perfect. I totally recommend this place for a quick stop by for a coffee/tea and a little dessert. They also have breakfast and lunches!! read more

The food was excellent. We went on a rainy day, too late for eggs, as they go to lunch promptly. At first we were disappointed, but they even had quiche and puff egg pastries, which satisfied a few in our party. We found a table in the corner, where they were roasting their coffee. It was a sight to see and a smell to experience. The food was up in a timely fashion and delivered to us. The curried chicken salad is a must have. All around a great spot. read more

Great place for casual bite to eat. I came upon this place around 11 on a busy Saturday. There was already a line out the door!!!! . Anyways based on the yelp reviews and the level of hunger from my friends and I, we decided to stick it out. The only con I had about this place is that the menu overhead was all their drinks. They have a good menu but it's on little laminated sheets of paper while you wait in line. And there were only two of them to look at. I wish they had the food menu in multiples so that you could get a few minutes with it if you're waiting in line already instead of hastily making your choice few minutes before you get to place your order. I got a basic egg cheese and bacon bagel sandwich. It was just ok. My boyfriend ordered the ultimate without sprouts. NOW the ULTIMATE is what you HAVE to get here. Like wow. My tastebuds were blown away. Such a creative flavor profile. I was in heaven. Compared to my basic bagel sandwich.... the ultimate is the showstopper. As you read this I am reminiscing how it tasted and how good it was. Sigh. They have indoor and outdoor seating. While it was too chilly when I went, the outdoor seating looks quaint just like the town it's in. They have an immense collection of coffee drinks/tea. Facilities were clean. I would definitely come back and order the ultimate. Hopefully with sprouts this time. read more

We waited 45 minutes to have two orders, one didn't come. In a Post-pandemic world, we know to be patient and kind, restaurants are understaffed and overwhelmed. However, their operations are adequately staffed and there should have been no problem with our orders. They had at least three people at the front, 2 people doing coffee and three people preparing food, not sure they could fit anymore staff. We were patiently waiting for our order, given it's a Saturday and they are busy. We noticed people coming 15 minutes after us woth big family orders getting their food. When we confronted them about our order after standing for 45 minutes in the line the girl doing the food told us we might have not heard the name "Kevin", we told her we were the only Kevin and she rolled her eyes at us. Didn't say sorry and asked if we still wanted our order. Then we went to the front and the woman only wanted to comp our missing order not our entire order even though we waited for an hour. After she was done I asked her if she could apologize and she said "oh.. yeah I'm sorry" Just be aware when you go and if you don't get your order after 20 minutes call them out. read more

Worse place ever. SOOOO slow. Waited almost an hour for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and what was supposed to be ham and egg on a bagel but came out on rye bread. People who ordered after me got their food first and the girl who brought our food out had a total attitude. read more

Townie coffeehouse café popular with both the tourists and the locals. There's definitely a lot of foot traffic here as it's 2-3 blocks from the busy HOF. Stagecoach provides the quintessential coffeehouse experience with the energetic young staff, homey cute decor and the smell of fresh roasted coffee wafting through the air. The menu has a fair amount of variety with an assortment of healthy and/or vegetarian options. Locally sourced ingredients. Regular Cuppa' Joe - Full and bold, roasted to perfection. Pumpkin Pie Chai - Essentially diabetes in a cup. Way, WAAAAAAY to sweet and milky. I tossed it half way in. Pass. Toasty Tuna Sandwich - Similar to what I know as a tuna melt, but with olives and onions. Came out hot and toasty. Portion size was good and it came with a side salad so I split it for a mid-day snack. Free WiFi and Smiles :) read more

Had the pleasure of working out of Stagecoach for a few days. It was always busy with vacationers and locals strolling in and ordering their caffeinated beverages. Plus, their food menu is great -- a ton of breakfast and lunch options made fresh to order, including gluten free and vegan items. The staff are friendly and quick to get you your order. Plus the atmosphere is great. While the front room always seemed to be packed, there's a lovely patio out back to sit and enjoy the day plus more indoor seating in the back room next to their roasters (yeah, they also roast their own coffee here). There are a couple of other places to get coffee in Cooperstown, but Stagecoach is the only real option if you want that authentic coffeehouse experience. read more

Nice joint in a crazy town. Bean prices are quite reasonable, and I very much like their espresso roast. The quiet back patio under shade trees is a pleasant escape from the summer madness of the baseball museum. Close enough to the museum that non-fans accompanying pilgrims could use it as a place to bide some time with a book. Also, within walking distance of the waterfront area, if you wish to grab a cup to bring down for a read by the lake. (In the summer, parking can be hard in this area. Walk if you can.) read more

Deliciously, amazing baked goodies and coffee. Coming up from Manhattan I was struck at how inexpensive my two cookies and cappuccino were. Upon eating, I was blown away at how ridiculously delicious everything was. Honestly, these were the BEST gluten free desserts I've had in the last year or two. The sandwiches everyone got were also great. Though they weren't giant in size, the quality kept me full. I'd HIGHLY recommend this perfect little cafe to anyone in the area. read more

Stagecoach Coffee - Bacon egg and cheese - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Cooperstown, New York

The bf and I came here twice in the 2 days that we were in Cooperstown because it was a pretty solid place for us the first time we had come in. The staff is friendly and the menus are quite staggering. Be sure to come in before 11AM if you're hankering for some breakfast-y type eats as they stop serving their breakfast offerings after then. They roast their own coffee beans in house, which yielded some rather tasty coffee. I had an iced coffee and an avocado, tomato, and cream cheese bagel sandwich one day, and then an iced coffee and an egg sandwich of some sorts the next day. The former was rather tasty, and not bad for being a bagel outside of the NYC metro area. The latter was somewhat forgettable. Even still, our experience at this café was pretty nice. Recommended for a quick breakfast bite if you happen to be in Cooperstown! read more

Great little coffee shop! Been here a couple of times and they have good service, good coffee and good food. Just down the street from the small roundabout in the center of Cooperstown, Stagecoach Coffee offers a mellow respite from what can be the very attention grabbing Baseball Hall of Fame. After three days with the Boy Scouts on Henderson Scout Reserve, Stagecoach was an island of tranquility; a warm haven from the frozen tundra that Upstate New York becomes in February. Offering well prepared libations and a nice breakfast and lunch menu, I found the solitude I desperately needed. The latte and the Organic Honduran were both excellently presented, and the new back room, a sunny catnapping spot (Apparently that cannot be said when the coffee roaster is operating). A few of the scouts and I returned for breakfast today on our way back to Bucks County, Pa., and enjoyed our oatmeal, bagels, and grilled fromage sandwich. All of us left contented, and ready to face the 9 degree temp. Bottom Line - Highly recommend you find this place when you need to stop the world for a few minutes. As lovely as Cooperstown is, a few hours of any museum makes me succumb to a torpor that only fresh caffeine can overcome. Stagecoach's elixirs do the trick. read more

This is a local gem! Great coffees and espresso drinks. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I was in town for business and came three days in a row and was so excited! Was on vacation in Cooperstown and got breakfast at this place several times, it is SO good. We ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin which was perfectly toasted and the ingredients tasted fresh. Also got the breakfast burrito with bacon, and a strawberry fields smoothie, absolutely heavenly. Tried a zucchini chocolate bread from the front counter once, very flavorful and rich. I think about going back just for this place all the time, it's a must try. read more

Asked for a fried egg, got scrambled egg on my breakfast sandwich. Wanted to add sausage (which i paid extra for) they called 35 mins after I ordered it to tell me they were out sausage and said they would put extra bacon on it( which is cheaper then sausage so i should of received money back). There was three tiny pieces of bacon on it. If that was extra i hate to see what normal portion is. For the price i paid for the sandwich I expect to have it the way i ordered it. read more

Do not offer mobile app if you can't handle the work flow .Nobody even smiled. So coffee was on the rack. Ten minutes later the sandwich came out. PS. Coffee was cold. And this is not the busy time. Really yummy coffee and delicious breakfast sandwiches! Truly recommend if you're in town and need a wake me up.

The small batch roasted coffee is amazing. Currently obsessed with the snickerdoodle flavor.

Love their muffins and coffee. Lunch menu is great too! The staff friendly and hard working!

Loved the food. I had The Unusual - cream cheese, avocado, sliced tomato, and cracked black pepper on an onion bagel. The Hubs had the Smoked Lox with capers, red onion and cream cheese on a plain bagel. Both were very good. Liked the coffee. It was my first cup of the day, having driven 25 minutes from our vacation rental. Expectations were higher than normal and I found their blend to be a bit average. Next time I might go for a more medium bodied roast. The interior is a bit snug and the line can clog up by the front door when it gets busy. The dining area needed a wipe down, but keep in mind it was early on a weekday morning. Overall, a solid coffeehouse breakfast experience that matched our laid back vacation! read more

This place was great. As soon as we got into town, I scoured Yelp for a coffee house and found this place. We were not disappointed. The line was usually out the door, but moved quickly. There were plenty to choose from and everyone in our group of 12 found something they liked to eat and/or drink. Between us all, we had hot coffees, iced coffees, frappuccinos, breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. All very delicious. As people return to traveling, Cooperstown is open and welcoming. Along with the Baseball Hall of Fame, the other museums, shops, beautiful Otsego Lake and more, we have the best little coffee shop anyone could ask for. STAGECOACH Coffee and Roastery, just north of the giant flagpole on Main St., offers everything from their own house blend to several I can't pronounce and many in between. Of course you're going to want to try one of dozens of sweets and savory snacks, bagels that are fresh every day with inventive toppings or just good old cream cheese, as well as a selection of delicious wraps and sandwiches. During the summer season, don't let the line out the door dissuade you from waiting, there is indoor and patio seating and it's worth the wait. Most of all, the shop has the best and most friendly baristas on earth. I'm there almost every day for a reason. read more

We stayed at the Inn across the street and, while having continental breakfast, saw a steady flow of people in and out of Stagecoach Coffee, actually turning into a line out the door at times, but seemed to be moving quickly. Next morning we got on line, which moved surprisingly quickly, and we were soon greeted by a friendly and efficient woman at the register who took our order. I had the veggie breakfast burrito with what I think was fresh squeezed orange juice, and my wife had a bagel with egg and cheddar, and iced coffee. Everything was delicious, the veggie burrito was packed with fresh greens and veggies, my wife loved the bagel and coffee. We knew why the place was so popular. In the evening we came back for ice cream- both of us had the French roast coffee which was rich and flavorful. Next morning I got bacon and egg on a sesame bagel, and my wife got the Unusual- once again, home runs! read more

Stagecoach Coffee is the only actual cage in town and they roast their own beans. I have yet to buy their beans, but I do drink a lot of their brews at school, which I only find so-so. It may be how they brew it. In terms of the plain latte, I have definitely had better. Sorry to say it, but Starbucks actually has a better latte. I was really pulling for Stagecoach because I am a big supporter of local and independent roasters. The latte is overly bitter and a bit rough. I have to add sugar and sometimes a bit of milk into it. You are actually better off here getting a flavored drink, either through syrup shots (monin, chai) or powder form (matcha). They also have a very good list of smoothies. This is where their drinks shine. They also have a good list of breakfast sandwiches! The staff are friendly, the place has a lot of seating, but it tends to be very busy, so there are times where you won't be able to find a seat. They have plenty of power outlets and Stagecoach is actually a pretty good place to sit and do work. There is also an outdoor patio. read more

If service is important, don't go on a Tuesday night when a young barista tells you at 8pm, they're closing at 9pm. Then right at 9pm, tells you it's time to go. Literally, then says, "I told you we were closing at 9," and proceeds to have a bunch (and I mean a BUNCH) of friends come in, sit in the corner, and get seriously loud. Maybe she's a young entrepreneur and owns the place, but it was seriously off putting. We sat at a table right in front of the case and there was no one in when our beverages were finished and when she said, "They're ready," my date stood to take them and she said rather rudely, "You can pick them up at the end of the counter." OK, fine. She's got a system in place. I actually had not finished my coffee and had no problem vacating at the appointed time, but wow on saying you had to close up, but having a group of friends come in right at closing to sit. She was all cleaned up and ready to go and I spoke with my date for about twenty minutes after this time in front where I was parked. No one left or got up from the table. She didn't lock up the coffee shop either. As far as coffee goes, I tried the Skinny Divinity. It tasted like a plain latte although the board had a lot of "stuff" going on with the recipe. I like plain lattes, but didn't expect one. It was bitter, which wasn't expected, but what can you do? This is someone who obviously just doesn't care about product or customer service. UPDATE: The owner is now defending the employee who clearly lied about what went on that night or he just doesn't care. Either way, they were NOT customers who came in and wouldn't leave. They came IN at closing and were friends she had visiting. Again, it was about the attitude and double standard. read more
