We waited 45 minutes to have two orders, one didn't come. In a Post-pandemic world, we know to be patient and kind, restaurants are understaffed and overwhelmed. However, their operations are adequately staffed and there should have been no problem with our orders. They had at least three people at the front, 2 people doing coffee and three people preparing food, not sure they could fit anymore staff. We were patiently waiting for our order, given it's a Saturday and they are busy. We noticed people coming 15 minutes after us woth big family orders getting their food. When we confronted them about our order after standing for 45 minutes in the line the girl doing the food told us we might have not heard the name "Kevin", we told her we were the only Kevin and she rolled her eyes at us. Didn't say sorry and asked if we still wanted our order. Then we went to the front and the woman only wanted to comp our missing order not our entire order even though we waited for an hour. After she was done I asked her if she could apologize and she said "oh.. yeah I'm sorry" Just be aware when you go and if you don't get your order after 20 minutes call them out. read more

Deliciously, amazing baked goodies and coffee. Coming up from Manhattan I was struck at how inexpensive my two cookies and cappuccino were. Upon eating, I was blown away at how ridiculously delicious everything was. Honestly, these were the BEST gluten free desserts I've had in the last year or two. The bf and I came here twice in the 2 days that we were in Cooperstown because it was a pretty solid place for us the first time we had come in. The staff is friendly and the menus are quite staggering. Be sure to come in before 11AM if you're hankering for some breakfast-y type eats as they stop serving their breakfast offerings after then. They roast their own coffee beans in house, which yielded some rather tasty coffee. I had an iced coffee and an avocado, tomato, and cream cheese bagel sandwich one day, and then an iced coffee and an egg sandwich of some sorts the next day. The former was rather tasty, and not bad for being a bagel outside of the NYC metro area. The latter was somewhat forgettable. Even still, our experience at this café was pretty nice. Had the pleasure of working out of Stagecoach for a few days. It was always busy with vacationers and locals strolling in and ordering their caffeinated beverages. Plus, their food menu is great -- a ton of breakfast and lunch options made fresh to order, including gluten free and vegan items. The staff are friendly and quick to get you your order. Plus the atmosphere is great. While the front room always seemed to be packed, there's a lovely patio out back to sit and enjoy the day plus more indoor seating in the back room next to their roasters (yeah, they also roast their own coffee here). There are a couple of other places to get coffee in Cooperstown, but Stagecoach is the only real option if you want that authentic coffeehouse experience. read more

Nice joint in a crazy town. Bean prices are quite reasonable, and I very much like their espresso roast. The quiet back patio under shade trees is a pleasant escape from the summer madness of the baseball museum. Close enough to the museum that non-fans accompanying pilgrims could use it as a place to bide some time with a book. Also, within walking distance of the waterfront area, if you wish to grab a cup to bring down for a read by the lake. (In the summer, parking can be hard in this area. Walk if you can.) read more

We ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin which was perfectly toasted and the ingredients tasted fresh. Asked for a fried egg, got scrambled egg on my breakfast sandwich. Wanted to add sausage (which i paid extra for) they called 35 mins after I ordered it to tell me they were out sausage and said they would put extra bacon on it( which is cheaper then sausage so i should of received money back). Just down the street from the small roundabout in the center of Cooperstown, Stagecoach Coffee offers a mellow respite from what can be the very attention grabbing Baseball Hall of Fame. After three days with the Boy Scouts on Henderson Scout Reserve, Stagecoach was an island of tranquility; a warm haven from the frozen tundra that Upstate New York becomes in February. Offering well prepared libations and a nice breakfast and lunch menu, I found the solitude I desperately needed. The latte and the Organic Honduran were both excellently presented, and the new back room, a sunny catnapping spot (Apparently that cannot be said when the coffee roaster is operating). A few of the scouts and I returned for breakfast today on our way back to Bucks County, Pa., and enjoyed our oatmeal, bagels, and grilled fromage sandwich. All of us left contented, and ready to face the 9 degree temp. Bottom Line - Highly recommend you find this place when you need to stop the world for a few minutes. As lovely as Cooperstown is, a few hours of any museum makes me succumb to a torpor that only fresh caffeine can overcome. Stagecoach's elixirs do the trick. read more

The Hubs had the Smoked Lox with capers, red onion and cream cheese on a plain bagel. Both were very good. Liked the coffee. It was my first cup of the day, having driven 25 minutes from our vacation rental. Expectations were higher than normal and I found their blend to be a bit average. Next time I might go for a more medium bodied roast. The interior is a bit snug and the line can clog up by the front door when it gets busy. The dining area needed a wipe down, but keep in mind it was early on a weekday morning. Overall, a solid coffeehouse breakfast experience that matched our laid back vacation! read more

This place was great. As soon as we got into town, I scoured Yelp for a coffee house and found this place. We were not disappointed. The line was usually out the door, but moved quickly. There were plenty to choose from and everyone in our group of 12 found something they liked to eat and/or drink. Between us all, we had hot coffees, iced coffees, frappuccinos, breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. All very delicious. We stayed at the Inn across the street and, while having continental breakfast, saw a steady flow of people in and out of Stagecoach Coffee, actually turning into a line out the door at times, but seemed to be moving quickly. Next morning we got on line, which moved surprisingly quickly, and we were soon greeted by a friendly and efficient woman at the register who took our order. I had the veggie breakfast burrito with what I think was fresh squeezed orange juice, and my wife had a bagel with egg and cheddar, and iced coffee. Everything was delicious, the veggie burrito was packed with fresh greens and veggies, my wife loved the bagel and coffee. We knew why the place was so popular. In the evening we came back for ice cream- both of us had the French roast coffee which was rich and flavorful. First: thanks to the reviewers before me! So glad this place popped up when we were checking out a place to fuel up before heading out for a morning in the area. We walked here from our hotel. Excellent section of fresh food made on site using local ingredients. They offer fun hot and cold coffee drinks along with more traditional fare. They have traditional breakfast sandwiches and some awesome open-faced selections (cream cheese, cracked black paper, tomato... Yum.). They also have baked goods that looked INSANELY good. Lunch foods are served starting around 11 a.m. I didn't see it on the website but they also have some delicious sounding smoothies. I really appreciate that they have a no laptops at tables during busy times rule. They are relegated to the car. Considering how busy they were I can see why they do this and what a great idea. Seriously. Two of us got hot coffee toffees which were coffee with chocolate and caramel flavoring. No whipped cream. Didn't need any sugar (came with milk or cream in it). Our third is a non coffee drinker (don't ask me, I'm just reporting back). They make their bagels fresh on site so my friend Neil got an everything bagel toasted with butter and raved about it. Kris got the veggie burrito and loved it. I got the bacon/egg/cheese on toast. Hands down: best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. Clean space with staff that are efficient, communicate well and keep things moving really quickly (impressive). Really, really awesome. I doubt I'll stray when back in Cooperstown. read more

Not many places for coffee around here, so this place gets pretty busy. Coffee was definitely good! For breakfast we got: bagel with cream cheese & tomato and bagel with lox. They were pretty good- I wish the bagels were better but overall a good experience and we would go back! One bad thing: we got a side of scrambled eggs and they were horrible. Tasted like nothing. Stagecoach Coffee is a great spot for a hot cup o' joe in the morning. They have recently renovated the order areas, and it is much more convenient and easier to maneuver in the otherwise very small, quaint spot. The lattes are perfection in a cup (especially the mocha latte - hot and frothy, creamy and just plain delicious!). They do serve food, and it is quite delicious as well. The employees are all pleasant and kind, very knowledgeable and quite friendly! Makes for an all-around wonderful experience.
