I attended Stage's prime rib special on a weekend and while it started fine it unfortunately didn't end on the best note. We got seated quickly despite our 15 minute early arrival and quickly ordered our drinks. However, I believe it took another 30 minutes to order and then another 30-40 minutes for the first bite, the complimentary appetizer, to arrive. Since we experienced long wait times, we noticed the ambiance switch from a nice relaxing jazz to a mix of jazz and blaring pop/club music from a party in the adjacent room. To finalize the experience, our meal finally arrived and unfortunately it was cold. I was a bit shocked as it was my first time experiencing this, but our server quickly took our plates back and it came back warmer along with a warmer plate. In my previous experience at other establishments, typically there are verbal apologizes expressed by the server and/or manager but in this case, no apologies were expressed. I am disappointed in my experience, but there were a couple of nice qualities so I decided to give them 2 stars.

Had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner at Stage. Exceptional ambiance that changes. Courteous service and exquisite dishes. I experienced the Valentines Day set which consisted of 5 courses. I dont drink so I did not pair the coures with alcohol. I savored each bite. There is ample parking for the building. Always fun to browse the furniture store as well.

What a fun cool yummy experience! The food was amazing, every bit was perfect! The ambiance was so artistic and unique. Loved all the different seating areas! Service was five s!! The duck special was probably my favorite . The wine bar area was also fun, you can buy a wine card and be able to pour 1oz to a full glass, I love trying new wines so having a 1oz of several was so much fun! But truly I cannot even explain just how good the food was, small menu but you really can't go wrong with what you eat! We ate so much this was one of the first times we couldn't even get dessert. That's how good our meal was!!!

Stage Restaurant & Amuse Wine Bar- where the scene is always upscale, romantic, and elevated. One of my absolute favorite go-to restaurants and wine bar. I love that you have different choices depending on what you're in the mood for: 1) dine in their restaurant and enjoy their full menu or their new five course tasting menu 2) enjoy relaxing at their bar and lounge and nibble on their amazing bar menu AND/OR take a gander at their selection of wines and enjoy tasting wines around the world I've done both and can attest that each choice is a 5/5 (does that make this review a 10/10 then?). Their dine in restaurant is classy, upscale, and totally feels fine-dining, but you'll be surprised to learn their pricing is super reasonable. I would recommend doing their five course tasting menu ($125 per person). I recently did this and WOW it was so good! I also want to mention that their set menu comes with an amuse bouche and intermezzo which actually makes it a 7 course meal. For the price of $125- totally worth it. The portions are also a great size. Their set menu came with: Amuse Bouche - so yummy! I always love a good bread starter. "Miso Caesar" Salad - surprisingly really refreshing and tasty. Bristol Bay Jumbo Scallop - perfectly cooked scallop and the sauce was YUM. Miso Butterfish - who doesn't love a good risotto with miso butterfish? tender, flaky, and just delicious. Intermezzo - refreshing and a lovely addition before the heavier entree Herb & Honey Mustard Lamb Chops - I'm usually not a lamb person, but this was perfectly well seasoned and yummy. Dessert Du Jour - light and very lovely end to the meal. This set menu is totally worth the price and I will definitely come back for this experience so I can try the wine pairing next time! As for their bar and lounge, which is what I typically frequent, is so worth it. Lovely for a nice date night. Don't be shyed away from the fact that it's a "bar" menu, the food is delicious and perfect to share with your loved ones. Honorable mentions are the fried cauliflower, stage fries, shrimp or mushroom pintxos, and their italian meat or truffle mushroom pizza. I usually just order a glass of wine, but while you're hanging out at their bar, you can also get a wine card and take a stroll through their wine selections and pick and choose wines to taste. They have many different wines that are not on their regular menu, so I definitely recommend trying the wine bar at least once! Overall, Stage Restaurant & Amuse Wine Bar is one of the best spots on Oahu for me. Their service is also consistently top notch- friendly, professional, and personable. Oh and another reason why they are one of my all time favorites- I hosted my Wedding Party in their lovely Bamboo Room, but that is a review for another day ;-) (hint hint... it was an amazing experience- thank you to their amazing Event Coordinator Joy for all her help with such an awesome night).

Not my first time here--I've actually been to Stage a few times, including once on a quick work break just to enjoy the wine bar (haha). This time was special though--we came to celebrate my best friend's birthday! We were seated in a cute little area with a lovely view... of cars . It was my best friend's first visit, and since she's a big wine girl, I figured Stage was the perfect spot to take her. We started with a few appetizers and ended up sharing the Beef Wellington for our main dish. As always, everything was delicious. The service was just as amazing--Chieko (hope I spelled that right!) was an excellent server. She checked in with us just the right amount and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. I love coming here for the chill, low-key vibe, the beautiful interior, and of course--the wine selection! Can't wait to come back again.

The food and service is great. High quality ingredients and our server was very attentive and informative. Great decor and low lighting. A good setting to socialize with an intimate group or just a date. I loved the escargot, scallops and the elderberry panna cotta. Everything else was great but those were memorable. I highly recommend and will come back for the set menu.

This is a nice restaurant that I haven't been in a long time! Very airy and spacious trendy restaurant. I came with a friend for a retirement seminar! I had the Grilled New York steak medium rare just how I like it! Served with a mushroom demi glaze, Yukon potato puree and asparagus. We also had an Island Green Organic salad with greens, cucumber, radish, grape tomatoes, croutons in a creamy miso vinaigrette. Lastly, there was New York cheesecake mixed berry coulis. Vanilla bean with whipped cream and oatmeal crumble. Service was very attentive!

Complimentary amuse bouche just awesome

Fantastic new menu. Brought back the bubu state crusted salmon salad from past lunch menu. Still awesome. The complimentary amuse bouche was a very nice touch

We normally eat and drink in the bar when we come here, but we decided to try the restaurant and I'm so glad that we did. This restaurant has the coolest decor ever. It's such a fun vibe with all of the unique designs. Plus, everything that we tried on the menu was delicious and my champagne flight had extremely generous pours. The service was exceptional and this is my new favorite restaurant for sure. I can't wait to go back. A nice plus is that there's plenty of free, safe parking in the garage below.

We love coming to Stage, especially Amuse- wine bar side. The food is always amazing, drinks delicious, and service is always impeccable. We love it so much that we decided to have our wedding reception here! So if considering for any kind of private event, please read on... We Highly recommend. We booked a private event in their Cupola Gallery and absolutely loved the entire experience. They allowed us to come in the evening before to add our own decorations, which we were so grateful for. We didn't have time to decorate on the day of the event, and this meant we didn't need to hire someone to do it for us. They worked closely with us on our beverage menu and were happy to accommodate specific cocktails, as well as welcome drinks served to guests upon arrival. That level of flexibility and collaboration was so appreciated. The food was phenomenal. We ordered three appetizers for a self-serve station--fried cauliflower, French fries, and Korean fried chicken--and all of them were outstanding. It tasted exactly as good as it does when dining in the restaurant. For dinner, we chose the three-course tasting menu from their event packet, with guest selections of miso salmon, NY steak, or vegetable pasta. The steak was incredibly tender, the salmon was perfectly cooked, and everything exceeded our expectations. Dinner included a starter salad, and dessert was the third course. Instead of plated service, the cheesecakes were displayed on our dessert table alongside additional cakes we ordered for a self-serve dessert station. We ordered three quarter-sheet cakes--strawberry shortcake, lilikoi, and vanilla buttercream--and they were so delicious we honestly wish we had ordered more. The staff was amazing throughout the event. Service was timely and thoughtful, and our main server, Crystal, was incredibly attentive to both us and our guests. Even though this is not a traditional wedding venue, we felt completely taken care of. For example, when the self-serve appetizers came out, they brought my husband and me our own pre-made plates to make sure we were eating too. They also packed up cakes in to-go boxes for us when our guests did the same, so we wouldn't miss out. If a guest tried to order something not included on our menu, the staff was happy to accommodate--but always checked with us first. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Joy, the sous chef and our main contact for the event. She was incredible from our very first emails through the night of the event. She was responsive, helpful, full of great ideas, and genuinely invested in making our night special. Many of the ideas she suggested were things we ended up using, and our event truly wouldn't have been the same without her. Our guests were talking about the food, drinks, and the space for days after the event. We were so extremely satisfied that we're already talking about what other types of events we can host here--we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. If you're considering a private dining event, rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, birthday party, or reunion, this is absolutely the place to do it. Incredible food, a beautiful space, and truly wonderful people.

3 of us enjoyed the happy hour during 4-6pm. Only 5 items on the menu. Except pizza, is so so, the other 4 are really delicious. The restaurant is quiet and well decorated. As we only order foods in happy hours menu, so we only can sit outside. For order dinner menu, you can move to inside seats. If come late after store closed hours, you can park your car in parking lot of furniture store then take lift to 2nd floor. Otherwise you are not able to find the door of the restaurant. :)

We recently had dinner here over the holidays to celebrate my daughter being home. I've heard a lot about Stage restaurant. It is located in the Honolulu design center, and you're able to park in the building for free. We made reservations for dinner on a Friday night, and it surprisingly was not crowded. The restaurant is very spacious, and has artistic feel. I started off with a beet salad, and then we all ordered entrées, including butterfish, mahi-mahi over risotto, and the salmon special. Portions are on the smaller side, but all the fish entrées, we're all cooked perfectly, not overcooked or dry. We finished off the night with a sorbetto dessert along with the chocolate macadamia nut dessert bar. All the food was beautifully presented, and aesthetically pleasing. Our waitress was Crystal, who provided us with excellent service throughout the meal. Would love to come back to try some of their other dinner entrées.

Brought friends from Japan and they were so pleased!!! I had not been here in YEARS, but I was so thankful that everyone in our party loved their food and the experience. The quality of the food was great and of course the ambience is gorgeous. It's like having dinner in an art museum. We were so happy to meet the Inspiration owner having a party there too. We stayed after to enjoy more wine at Amuse. It was just a wonderful evening!

Ask the Community - Stage Restaurant

Where is the drop off point for rideshare drivers to drop off customers that want to go to stage (the address pin is the entrance to the parking garage off piikoi but that's not helpful unless you are a customer wanting to park)?

From being to Inspiration and Stage separately on multiple occasions, I feel that is the best spot for a vehicle to pull to the curb and load or unload passengers. A ride share or taxi can easily pull in to the driveway and turn around or easier,…

Does this place have any vegetarian options for entrees?

Is the pre fixed menu price per person?

Yes. But if you have two people , ask your server if you can order one pre-fixe and one entrée and share the appetizers.

I see a lot of reviews about the two-person seating facing the street. But how is the rest of the table seating? The photos make it seem as though you share a large dining table with other parties?

There some large tables that can easily fit 6 people, the one we dined in was that size. I'm sure they are also able to accommodate larger parties by putting two tables together.

Does Stage still do afternoon tea? I can't find their menu online but I went years ago and had a good time!

Aloha Courtney, Thank you so much for your inquiry. Stage has discontinued their afternoon tea.…

What is the dress code? I'm going there for happy hour and wondering what the proper attire would be? Would shorts be ok if I wear them with a button down? Thanks!

I don't think they have a dress code. The last time I went, I had shorts and slippers. But, casual attire would be fine.

It felt a little cramped, and you could hear the neighboring parties conversations quite clearly. After a while though, getting into our own conversation, it didn't bother me. Our hostess, I wish o remembered her name, was fantastic! Petite young lady with blonde hair and she wore glasses. She checked in with us as soon as the last member of our party arrived, and gave us the appropriate amount of time to look through the menu. She even came by to let us know she was going on a break and pointed out who was going to temporarily take care of us. I ordered their version of a high-ball and it was delicious! My friend had an oat milk latte that he drank in no time! My other friend had another coffee drink that she also enjoyed. Their coffee drinks are really delicious. For pupus we ordered their fries topped with poke and their original açaí bowl. The poke was fresh, and the fires cooked perfectly! It was sooo good! Island Vintage is also known for their açaí bowls, and they did not disappoint. So refreshing, and not too sweet. Ours came in a huge cappuccino cup and we split it amongst 3 people. We all had a tiny cup. Overall, a great experience!!! Friendly staff, and delicious foods and drink. Love this place! Oh, and right next door they have their coffee bar! Just as fantastic!

Ultra Violet had a pretty presentation, with a glowing coaster attached to the bottom of the glass. It was overall a very sweet drink, but the alcohol content wasn't that noticeable to be honest. My friend also said the Hana Hou! was very sweet and lacking in noticeable alcohol content as well. We also ordered the Ube Panna Cotta for dessert, and I loved it. However, I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time through Open Table. For dinner we decided to go with the mushroom cheese risotto, truffle alfredo fettuccine and arugula salad. For my little one we went with their margherita pizza. Everything was outstanding! Probably the best risotto I've ever had! It was packed with flavor and so good and comforting. The truffle alfredo was perfection, and the taste of the truffle was on point. My little picky eater almost finished the whole pizza, which I guess was a good sign. We loved it so much we decided to come back the following week. For the second time I didn't notice I had made reservations during their happy hour. Though a different bartender came back with a sparkler option for her. Needless to say, I felt pushed aside and I don't believe I'll be back to this location any time soon. The only reason I didn't give this review a 1-2 star is that I recognize that Abe is busting his butt there. He was floating back and forth between this bar and Eleven. Separate review with my direct encounter with Abe at Eleven forthcoming.

We stopped in during their happy hour from 3-5 PM, and it immediately stood out as an ideal after-work pau hana or easy date-night spot. The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Whether you're looking for a low-key happy hour, a casual date spot, or a place to unwind after work, this is a hidden gem worth seeking out. Pro tip: Arrive early for happy hour -- once more people discover this spot, it won't stay quiet for long.

Charming ambiance [Honolulu HI]…read more We came here by invite from Terry K and also had the pleasure of joining Therese and her hubby, Kevin. The cafe had a nice inviting feel that extended towards the back, the ambiance was dark and chic. The cafe was adorned with Halloween motif. We placed our orders at the counter which was towards the front section and our food were served at our table. I chose the Spinach Mushroom Goat Cheese Omelette and Lemonade for my drink. That homemade lemonade was so refreshing and delicious! Loved the delicious spinach and mushroom in my omelet. Hubby ordered a classic breakfast of Two Eggs w/ Bacon and Roasted Potatoes... wow! the bacon was crispy and yummy and just how I like my bacon cooked. He gave me 2-pieces, maybe because he saw me drooling over it LoL! but I'm telling you, Therese's Wagyu Cheeseburger on Brioche with French Fries looked mighty yummy too! Thank you, Terry, for inviting us to join you for a Sunday brunch. We had a wonderful first time dining experience here with good food and company! Review #3585

There's…read morealways a silver lining to any difficult situation- and in this case, Silver Lining Wine Bar is where you should go to find solace and happiness after a tough day. Silver Lining is located in Kakaako with it's own private parking lot. Yes, it does look a little sketchy before you open the door- but hey, it's giving Speakeasy so just lean into the experience and you won't be disappointed! Inside you are met with soft jazz music and a beautiful bar which only sits maybe 10-12 people. There's also a small private room in the wine cellar which you can reserve if you call ahead. Regardless, it's super intimate and a perfect place to unwind or have a special date night. They only serve natural wines and they have a huge selection! They will also give you recommendations if you don't know where to start. Don't be afraid to talk to the bartenders or the wonderful owner- they will definitely point you in the right direction. I've been here three times already and each time tops the last. I've tried: - Mushroom Carpaccio: SO fresh and SO delicious. I have never had anything like this before, and man it's a must try. - Arugula Salad: You just can't go wrong. The balsamic is so tangy and tasty- please don't skip this either. - Baked Meatballs & Sauce: DELICIOUS!!! So tasty and it goes so well with their red wines. - Charcuterie: I have never had charcuterie as fresh as this honestly. They slice the meat in front of you too which is so cool. Definitely a must try if you love charcuterie. My girlfriends and I have tried a lot of their wines (maybe too much LOL) but all of them are so good. Seriously, you can't go wrong. It's also really cool because they serve tasting portions of the wine, but if you like it a lot you can also buy a carafe (or buy the whole bottle like we did). Silver Lining is such a gem and I can't wait to be back again soon!!!
