I wish I remembered her name because she truly made our experience special she truly created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous, making it a great spot if you're looking for a hearty breakfast. And the house coffee is a must try! I've been going to the Morgan Hill location since it opened and I can honestly say it's one of the best breakfast/ lunch establishments in Morgan Hill. My wife and I know all the servers by their name as we go weekly. Today I went there and we got a new server, now I realize there is a training period but we've seen him there for at least three weeks. I had to repeat myself at least two / three times on getting the order correct, simple things like BBQ sauce on the side. When the order came, it had sweet potatoes fries instead of shoe string fries. Again, simple things but the order was incorrect. His name is Christian, I would not get him again period! Now the other servers like Sam,Monique, Jeremy for example are excellent in fact a 5+. So ask for them and your meal will be special because of the service. Stacks is one of those easy brunch spots where there's something for everybody on the menu. The absolute winner for us was the lemon ricotta raspberry pancakes. Light, fluffy, slightly creamy from the ricotta, and really good with the raspberry flavor throughout. I stepped outside my comfort zone and ordered the Roadhouse Chili Omelette which was interesting and filling, but I wish the chili had a little more flavor packed into it. The turkey bacon was similar, not bad at all, just could've used a bit more seasoning. The classic breakfast with eggs, sausage, and potatoes was straightforward and solid. Ingredients: Vegan feta, spinach, onion, celery, broccoli, zucchini, tomato. We had breakfast here recently, we were sat right away. The restaurant itself was bright and spacious. Everything started off great, someone took our order, we got our food in a good amount of time. The coffee was good, the food was better than okay. Once we got our food no one really checked on us anymore. We didn't get any water refills, it took a while to get our check, we had to stop someone to ask for to go boxes. We couldn't figure out how to pay our check on the machine because it looked liked someone else's check. I tried telling the guy at front and he told me we have to tap here to pay. I went back to my table and tried to figure it out and couldn't so I went back up and I felt like the staff was just ignoring us. They walked away while I was standing there and when he came back I told him this isn't our food. He pressed some buttons and pulled up my check and I was finally able to pay so I could leave. We have come to this Stacks location a number of times. We would usually go to the Campbell location. Although it's a bit smaller than the one in Campbell the service is just as good. My wife and I were here while our daughter was in summer school. As it was a Thursday morning street parking was easy. We got sat immediately. I recommend the wheat germ pancakes as a healthy and tasty option. Any of the 3 egg omelettes are good (and you can sub with egg whites only). There is even a fitness section in the menu with healthy food options. Finally this location does also serve specialty coffees (expresso, etc). I would recommend coming here for breakfast. read more

I was craving biscuits and gravy but ended up getting the Country Fried Steak. Having grown up in the south I would say this is more of a Californian Country Fried streak. Having mushrooms in the gravy was different and it had a bit of sweetness. It wasn't bad, just not the same as good ol'Texas Country Fried steak. Same goes for the Monte Cristo Sandwich. We were used to it being battered and deep fried. They came out as described but just wasn't the same. The blueberry waffle was light and crunchy just as it should be. The blueberry compote was very good and complimented the waffle perfectly. Overall the food is good so it's still 4 stars to us. The food is great. The service is wonderful. But, we have been there three times and the flies are out of control. It is hard to enjoy a meal while constantly swatting flies. They have a large amount of table fly fan spinners, but the flies are too smart. So, the restaurant KNOWS they have a fly problem. I like this place. I don't feel like I was necessarily "wow'd" by the food but it was definitely tasty, prepared well, and in generous portions. Service was incredibly friendly (despite being very busy). In terms of complaints, I can't really think of much (certainly nothing worth detracting a star). Parking can be a little full (especially on weekend) so we ended up parking at the end of the street down near the kids park. The inside seating can be really noisy. That's about it. We've been to the Stacks Campbell location a few times back in the day. I remember the food and ambiance was good. So when I heard the news that Stacks was coming to downtown Morgan Hill, I was excited and happy that another great breakfast franchise was coming to our town. We arrived for Sunday brunch after church. The restaurant is located in a nice area in beautiful downtown. Parking was free and accessible in either the garage or parking lot. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our table inside. My first impression was I thought the decor was vibrant and had the modern look of an upscale diner. The front patio looked nice and inviting. We ordered a chicken fried steak, kids French toast, a stack of pancakes, mimosas flight, and a Bloody Mary. Everything was delicious. The drinks were refreshing. I am a big fan of chicken fried steaks and this one ranks up there. The pancakes were huge, fluffy, and tasty. Our server was friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Stacks very much. We will be back and hope to sit in the patio next time around to enjoy the warmer weather. read more

We were happy a new breakfast place is in town. We have some already but not fresh. This location wasn't on Yelp yet when we went, so I had to wait a bit to put this up. We were seated right away, there wasn't a line but there were people there. Our server came over within a minute to provide coffee and any other drinks then gave us some time to look over the menu. This is a big, spacious and airy space with a nice patio. We came on a sunny Saturday and were seated right away. Waitress was friendly and brought kids crayon and activity sheet for our 6yo. Everything was tasty (except maybe the bacon -- that was a little dry). The tripe berry waffle was beautiful. The steak and eggs was good. And the all meat omelette was super YUM. Daniella (Manager) is reason enough to come here. She is one of the most thoughtful and kind people I ever had serve my family at any restaurant. Great location right in the middle of downtown Morgan hill. Convenient to park in the nearby parking garage and walk around downtown, farmers market and out and around downtown. We walked in for brunch around 10 am on Saturday and the place was packed. We had a wait time of 25 minutes, they seated us in exactly 25 minutes as promised. Although the wait was long, we walked around downtown and explored, so not a negative unless you're in a hurry. This place has a very cool inviting atmosphere, the staff was courteous and friendly and seem to know how to navigate the packed house. Everything on the menu looked inviting, we ended up ordering Roadhouse chilli omelette with bagel - 3.5 nothing to write home about, it tasted fine, quantity was good. Old fashioned breakfast 3.5 and all meat omelette 4. The portions were perfect and the coffee was fresh, mimosas were delicious . I'll come here again and try the waffles next time . We love STACKS! I've decided that I have to go there at least once a week for a waffle fix! We've been there 3 or 4 times now and have loved everything! The coffee is delicious, the pomegranate juice love, love, love. Today I had the chorizo scramble, my husband had the Popeye's omelette, and we "shared" the banana pecan waffle, I ate a majority of it was sooooo good! I'm already planning our next visit next week!
