The tall blonde guy who works at the register cannot keep track of orders. He had a delivery sent out to the wrong house! He forgot to put in my order and had me wait over 30 minutes for fries! There were about two other customers agitated with him while they waited on their orders that were placed over the phone, in advance. Get off your phone and pay attention to paying customers! When I walked in and he was looking down on his phone and told me, "Give me two minutes" as he continued to text! My sister ordered folded Panko crusted avocado and instead received FROZEN meat tacos. She is veg and will not order from here anymore. It's a shame because I recommended the food to her. Also, the same guy insisted that I ordered sweet potato fries when he made a mistake. I brought it to his attention that I had asked for regular fries. Listen, people make mistakes but his arrogant attitude makes me want to stay clear from this place altogether. I was charged extra for something I did not order and I accused of lying about my order. I haven't seen a manager yet. Another time, he rudely told me to give him about 20 minutes to clear and separate one of the conjoined tables. There was no where to sit outside and I had to wait which I don't mind but his attitude is condescending. If you cannot keep up and provide a decent service then don't work in the food industry. I was also told he was not allowed to leave the register area to bring my food out. What?! There were two delivery boys standing behind the counter working at that time. **Edit; I recently ordered folded Panko crusted avocado and was served a forked salad. This is my last time eating here. read more

This is a great restaurant, they offer a nice variety of options and the food tastes great. I've had most of their salads and they are delicious. Customer service is good, but they don't always get the orders right. Other than that definitely give this place a try. I'm also very happy about their new Evanston location. read more

Stopped in today for the very first time. It just opened and was greeted by Josh, the friendly owner. Love the menu and couldn't decide what to try first but I went for the pork belly and egg sandwich. I also had a generous serving of sweet potato fries and everything was delicious. I'm going back for the short rib sandwich. read more

Stacked & Folded - Had the pork belly and egg sandwich on s brioche bun, hand-cut fries and a Chicago root beer to wash it all down and it was yummy! - New American Near Me - Winnetka, Illinois

I'm giving three stars because the food is great and the owner has been so wonderful to work with when it comes to catering. (I manage a business in the area.) I placed an order online at 12:30, received an email confirmation that it would be ready at 1:01, so I get there at 1pm. The girl at the register asks for my name I give it to her and she can't locate my order and asks how I placed the order. I show her my order confirmation on the phone and she says "oh we're not taking orders through there today". Then she asks another girl and she confirms it. They tell me I can re-place the order but "it's going to be a while because they are busy". I proceeded to ask for my money back, and without flinching they said ok. No apologies, nothing. Upon realizing they needed help with the transaction they asked a gentlemen working behind them to do it for them. He asked why they were refunding me so I explained and he said they were taking orders from the portal where my order was placed. He looked over at the area where the to go orders were, and my order was there. He did apologize, I said thank you (I admit I was frustrated) and walked out. As I walked out, one of two girls loudly stated "sorry we're busy". Being busy shouldn't affect service recovery, or overall customer service. read more

This place is great! As soon as you walk in your welcomed with a big hello - good start. You can tell this guy is proud of his spot. Really great customer service overall. I think his name was Joel! The food was amazing. Fresh cut fries, I had a short rib sandwich and the wife had the most amazing turkey sandwich I've seen around. Prices were good given the quality of the food! Overall great spot. read more

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The entire menu was enticing, but I decided on the panko avocado and porkbelly and egg. They were fantastic. To be honest, it was difficult to decide since everything sounded great, and I'm sure it was. Both me and my fiancee were very impressed. read more

Stopped after my AIR class. Tried the chicken taco. I've eaten a lot of tacos in my days on earth and that was probably the tastiest taco I've ever eaten. Quality ingredients and really fresh. read more

Delicious! Finally had a chance to order delivery and loved the food. The falafel taco was amazing, I also tasted the steak and chicken tacos, they were equally as good. Definitely will be revisiting. read more

I stopped in the other day and got carryout. I ordered the black bean burger with fries. It took me about a half hour to get home and it still tasted fresh and warm. Also, it was probably the most filling black bean burger that I've ever had! I had half for lunch and the other half for dinner. The cost was very reasonable, too. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town! read more

OMG. This place is fantastic! The food is out of this world. As a East Coast girl I decided to try the Philly Cheese steak....unbelievably authentic. I'm SO glad "Stacked and Folded" is in town. A great place for families, a quick lunch or a casual get together with friends. HIGHLY recommended. read more

I can sum it up by saying, "wow what a great meal!" Stacked and Folded is a great little diner type sandwich shop that clearly focuses on three things good food, great service and reasonable prices. Starting from the top Stacked and Folded clearly uses the best ingredients and its shows in the quality and flavor of the food they serve. The people at Stacked and Folded are just all around great people. The type of folks you would like to hang out with because you know they're just good people and friendly. Finally their pricing, well it's not going to break the bank after a good lunch. So if you do the math good food + great people + reasonable prices = awesome Not to mention they have an awesome menu that makes me look forward to my next visit! Just awesome!!! read more

This is one of my favorite sandwich shops. Not only is the food GREAT but they also sell some pretty cute signs and paraphernalia read more

Great food and excellent service. Very flexible and kind. I recommend the Tater Tots they are very good.

The Banh Mi may be the best sandwich on the North Shore or anywhere for that matter. Every bite packs a tasty punch.

Hands down best food around, every item ive tried has been so delicious ! Had their salmon salad today and it was SO AMAZING ! Best salad I've ever had, will now have to try all of their other salads & the staff is exceptional! LOVE this place read more

Stacked & Folded - Salmon salad, so so gooood - New American Near Me - Winnetka, Illinois

Seriously delicious!!! I tried stacked & folded when it first opened and they were tweaking things a bit. sandwich selections and sweet potato fries were good then but I was really wowed on my last visit. The owner is super friendly and actually made an effort to chat & explain the new menu - they now offer stacked, folded or forked - aka on a bed of greens. I am so happy they added a salad selection & kids menu! I tried the ahi tuna poke and it was fresh, delicious and the perfect portion size. My son opted for the chicken fingers & fries - he is not the most adventurous eater but I'm hoping he will try one of the many offerings on our next visit. On our previous visit we tried the cheese steak, bahn mi and pork belly - yum! The inside is quaint but with ample seating. What a great addition to Winnetka! read more

I pull for all new restaurants to make it. Maybe because I secretly would like to own a restaurant some day. In college I worked in a few restaurants and know what it takes to succeed. Unfortunately I don't believe this restaurant will make it. What a nightmare experience. I witnessed about 10 failed customer experiences and the owner never apologized once. I try to over look things when restaurants are just getting started. The wait was very long and the food was just ok. The majority of the staff didn't speak English and the owner and the cooks were not communicating. One of the cooks was eating food while cooking ours. No thanks for coming. No nothing. When we were leaving a to-go customer was trying to communicate to one of the non-English cooks that his order was not right. I don't see this working out very well. Also, the exhaust fan didn't work very well and my entire family's cloths smell terrible. read more

The food was really delicious. The sweet potatoes fries were unexpectedly extremely delicious. The turkey burger was really tasty too. I'm not an expert on anything, but I do love food. The atmosphere was very pleasant too. Will be coming back soon. read more

Everything was excellent! Had the tacos, salmon, shrimp, tuna, and loaded tots. Highly recommend!

That urban joint around the neighborhood you can drop in at any time! Sit for a hip vibe or order for a quick and speedy to-go. Salmon tacos were my favorite. My boyfriend enjoyed the Al Pastor better. Got fitness in town? Drop in after a couple of blocks of shopping around the area. You cannot be disappointed! read more

I love Stacked and Folded so much that when I need to deliver lunches for clients I called them. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was right and on time. The food is delicious and the feedback we got was wonderful. I can't recommend Stacked and Folded enough!!! Stop by for lunch or dinner or order in. The food is so fresh! read more

I've heard good things from friends and decided to try for myself. Smelled great inside. I got the short rib bahnmi w/ tater tots and it was delicious! The sandwich was flavorful, the bread and ingredients tasted fresh, and the tots were crispy and better than expected as well. Will definitely be back to try out more of the unique menu. read more

I ate here today and loved the experience. I had the duck blt and was very happy with my choice. The cocktail and craft soda selection is impressive. I had high hopes for this place as my former dance teacher's brother owns it. When I was waiting for my food, these two chefs were talking to each other while making my food. I thought that it that was so rude especially when making food. The food itself is okay. Nothing special. read more

Little tacos that aren't worth the money they are slow I don't recommend this place plus they're unorganized

Tried this place because of other Yelp reviews and so glad that we did. Large menu, lots of choices. Decided to go with the tacos; tried the chicken, the carne asada, the cajun salmon, and the fried avocado. My husband loved the carne asada and my favorite was the cajun salmon. The fried avocado was also excellent with a little bit of spice from the siracha. Didntvtey any salads or sandwiches but tacos were excellent. Great slaw complemented the amazing spices. They have a nice selection of atypical beverages as well. The only issue is seating. It is very small inside with only counter seating and two small tables. There is outdoor seating; but just a few small metal tables. Was a beautiful day so we decided to sit outside and it all worked out. Food overshadows lack of space. Definitely go try it! read more

My wife and I decided to have Stacked and Folded cater our daughters college graduation. Wow is all I can say! We had them make a boatload of sliders and salads. Our guests were amazed at the quality of the food. Would highly recommend them for catering. The presentation and quality of there food was outstanding. Even the girl Tara who delivered the food and set it up was incredible. Will definitely be using them again ! Great job Brad and Jill Yurk read more

Our go-to lunch spot for take out during COVID. Great salads, tacos and sandwiches. Order online and pick up at the door.

I'm really disappointed by this app "Yelp" is like the 3erd time that i go to a 4-5 stars restaurant and is not what you expect about a restaurant with that kind of rate... anyway... Al Pastor taco (fold) not delicious at all, very salty and greasy... if they can make something as easy as a taco I don't consider worth it to try anything else... 6$ for a taco is not the problem but, please make it right. Overall 1 star... not recommended. read more

This place is a good find. Interesting food at decent prices. Very homemade. Everything fresh and not pre-made. Made to order I might add. Tacos, yum! Salads delicious. If you are a heavy eater you might be disappointed by the serving size but I think it is perfect. Gets very crowded and seating is limited. There are some tables outside but still not too many. Do try it. You will be very surprised at how unique all the dishes are. read more

All good! Had the Bulgogi Cheesesteak and another time the Falafel Sandwich. Good fries. New to the neighborhood but so far so good.

Working in the area around lunchtime I did a map search and came across this place. Unsure what to order, staff recommended the short rib sandwich. Hands down the most incredible sandwich I've ever had! I can't wait to eat here again. A true culinary gem! read more

Found this place through Yelp, whilst staying at a nearby hotel. Being our first visit, we were a little confused and sat down, not realizing we had to order the food, then sit. The young man running the register and putting orders was delightful and polite. I ordered a lamb taco with all the trimmings and my hubby had the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was really excellent, and even though I always convince myself I'm on a diet, I really wanted to order another taco because it was absolutely delicious. I had to refrain because I wasn't hungry, I really just wanted to eat it because....The food came out quickly, the portion sizes were great and overall it was just a very good experience. read more

Love the service. Love the food. My mom and I got the Panko Crusted Avocado Taco, Garlic Shrimp Taco, and the Ahi Tuna Poke Salad. Yummmm!

Great, cute place. It was not very crowded when we went, but I am guessing on game day it can be pretty crowded. Their menu is on the smaller side, but they know what they are doing and execute it well. read more
